Ds has been feeling un well since last weekend, more like just a runny nose and looking a little doped up but he had started to get better on wednesday and his snot started to go clear so then i thought it was more like another tooth coming through.
Thursday he went off to child care with a runny nose but nothing to drastic. When i picked him up in the arvo his eyes had red circles underneath and the runny nose was back. Friday morning he woke with a really nasty cough, so no childcare and no work for me (my second day!!). We went off to the doc and she said it was tonsilitis, but he had no fever just the cough and runny nose. Ds was prescribed penicillian (sp?) it was his first time so was told to keep an eye out for the rash that may appear if he was allergic. We got home gave it to him and put him to bed. 90mins later when he woke up he had a lgith raised rash on his neck back chest and arms. I rang the doc and he said it sounded like he was allergic so don't give him anymore and come back in the morning for another check up and diff med's.
well we went back yesterday and the doc actually doesn't think that he was allergic because the rash was still there yesterday and apparently if it was an allergy then it would of come fast and gone fast.
Well i gave Ds a bath today and he now has the rash all over his arms and lower half of his body.
I'm starting to worry about maybe measles or something. It's prob just me being a paranoid first time mum but has anyone else had a rash lately or can anyone tell me what the measles would look like. His rash is like a heat rash but raised and kinda spotty.
