I've been using a couple of the bumGenius 3.0 pocket nappies as well as fitted nappies. Has anyone tried the new bumGenius 4.0? Are they any better? Also I had a look on the bumGenius website and they are sold out already of a lot of the colours in the velcro fastening any ideas where else to go?
thanks:flowerz:

Have one 3.0 and 4.0.

3.0 I thought were ok, but not for the price... I didn't think they were THAT much greater then other nappies that were cheaper, plus they were Velcro, which I hate for several good reasons.

I love the 4.0. Can't wait to add more to my stash, but still, $38... ouch. They're a better size and cut. They have snaps, which are great. I got mine from Nuture Nappies, I think they're the distributor? The bumgenius site should have a list of sellers... But yeah, good luck. Seen some for sale on ebay... tempted to get some, but I don't need 12!!! If they were $10 less, I think Bumgenius would be the bulk of my stash...
Otherwise, try somewhere in the states- you have to pay a lot for postage, but the nappies are cheaper, so it kinda works out to be the same... or get a friend to split the cost?

They say the elastic is easier to replace in the 4.0, but I haven't tried. The fabric is the same.

I was looking into buying them from the US - only i really dont need them.

Looks like you could pick up 12 for under $300, which is a lot cheaper - that was just on ebay international sites. I talked myself out of buying them before i could find a US stockist that would do international postage.

Thats really good value! Gotta love the exchange rate! Pity postage from the US is so much more than from the UK - and it takes longer too!

I did buy a 6 pack of the version 4 from a website in melbourne, I've only used velcro fastenings before but thought I'd try the snap - a bit fiddly at first but I'd like to see my toddler get out of them come summer when he's just in a nappy and singlet! I really like them, they fit nicely and dry well. They're great for during the day and if i need a slim fit, but I did also stock up on some BBH bamboo one size when I got the bumgenius, I find them fab for overnight.

If it's the same seller I used, you're still paying too much. I order them now with a lady who has a shop in Washington. She does an even better deal than the ebay seller. Also they should have the artist prints. I have 10 artists prints, 2 of every colour in snaps as well as Velcro. They're pretty funky.

Would you mind sharing the contact details of lady you buy from in Washington?

thanks

Hi Misschief,

Would you mind sharing the contact details of lady you buy from in Washington?

I was wondering if you could pm with the details of the washington store. I just missed out on a bargain from Australia yesterday on ebay because they were doing an upgrade right when I was about to start my bidding on 12 bumgenius. whom ever one did so at a bargain price of 205 for 12. Lucky mum.
Cheers
