After thinking I have sciatica and doing some research I think I could be suffering with PGP. Apparently less than 1% of people who think they have sciatica actually have it and in pregnancy it is more often than not PGP.

So who do I go to for help with this, a physiologist or a chiropractor? I have heard that you can use a pelvic support belt to provide immediate relief has anyone used these?

Its getting to the point where Dp is having to help me in and out of bed, put my shoes and pants on for me and help me on and off the toilet :o poor guy so I want to get it sorted.

Thanks!!

i had a friend with this and she got some fantastic results from a chiro. my chiro helped me out with my sciatica too so either way, i would visit a chiro who is confident with working with pregnant women

I had SPD which sounds simillar. I'd see the physio and get a belt without a doubt, it will be a life saver I assure you.
Good luck Hun.

I have symphasis pubis dysfunction (SPD) which is when it hurts to walk, stand on one leg and especially turn a corner when walking. Is this the condition you're talking about? It's calmed down a lot now but 2 weeks ago I was on crutches and bought myself 2 walking sticks. I got help from a specialist physio through the hospital. I also have a big elastic corset thingy that I'm supposed to wear. The best thing I did was spend 2 days doing NOTHING but lying in bed watching tv. Basically you have to move as though you're wearing a really tight short skirt, keeping your knees together all the time.
