Hi,

I have GD and am doing my best to manage on diet and exercise. My fasting rate is going up though so am thinking insulin may be a reality for me!

I was wondering what bread people use? I have been told multigrain is fine but everytime i have it my sugar level freaks out.

Also, what were some of your favourite snacks?

Can we have sugar free lollies as a treat? Am wanting something to chew lol

if you are craving something sweet and fruit wont cut it try rich tea biscuits, worked wonders for me. I also found a glass of skim milk and milo helped as a snack.

I had soy & lindseed bread. It was ok with my levels.

I had fruit mainly, but try these option as well. Diet lite yogurt, cheese. I would also count out those vita wheat little bickies to my carb amount and have melted cheese.

I also had DD lollies (sugar free). you can get them from coles :yelclap:
