can't stop!

DD (10 weeks) has always loved outings in her pram but only if we stay walking and stay outside. She always falls asleep after about 15mins but if I dare to walk into a shop (still walking) she knows it and starts up. As soon as I step outside again she stops. It's so strange, the noises, sun etc are louder and brighter than inside. Supermarket trips are a no go as are browsing in local shops when out and about.
I've tried pram toys but they make no difference. Any suggestions?

I used to completely cover Jades pram when she was alseep. Not only with the net but also with a blanket. It blocks out the bright lights and dulls the noise. If you are already doing this.. then I', out of suggestions.. sorry

My freind got me a metre of black polar fleece to put over DD's pram... she sleeps like a dream

Oh, the other thing si did (thanks for reminding me DP) is have a sheep skin fleece inside the pram for her to sleep on... must have been like sleeping on a softly moving cloud.... ermm except when mum hit something with the wide wheels ;)
