My daughter who will be 12 months next week has started waking during the night again for a bottle. She started sleeping through from 15 weeks but the last four she waked around 2am and then 5.00 - 5.30. Am I giving in to her giving her a bottle (seems to be the only things that settles her) or should I just go with the flow and hope eventually she will sleep through again?????????
HELP!!! tired mum

Hi Katef,

Is your dd still having sleeps during the day? My DS started doing this when he was about 14months old and was still having two sleeps a day. So I cut out one sleep and like magic he went back to sleeping through. He now sleeps during the day from 11.00am to 2.00pm and during the night from 8.30pm to 7.30am.

Sorry, this is the only advice I can give you. Hope it helps!

We had the same trouble with our DS who is now 2 at the same age. After giving in to him for a while we decided he wasn't getting a bottle till we could see daylight. I think it only took about 3 nights of having stand-offs with him and he got the message. Short term pain for long term gain I say :fingerscrossed: Good Luck

Mmmm i agree i think if you give in then she will just expect it every night from now on and you will never get that full nights sleep back. Id just offer water and put up with it for awhile till she realises she isnt going to get one and it isnt worht waking up for it. My dd is nearly 4mnths and only has 1 bottle at around 3.30am but if she wakes at another time in the night i dont give her a bottle i just change her nappy and re-settle her.She hasnt needed 2 bottles in the night for a long time and i wont start it now cause i know she doesnt need it.
Hope it works out for you:)
