well i have a bit of a problem. i just got from ebay some lovely (homemade - i think) aio's. well after washing and waiting very impatiently for them to dry, i finally was able to put one on my dd yesterday afternoon. she then wet right through it (it had only been on for 1 hour) and then did the same with 2 of the others i tried on her too. so my questions is what can i use to boost the nappy so it would last for about 3-4 hours without being too bulky? should i just boost the inside of the nappy (next to her skin) or should i unpick the back of the nappy and try to turn it into a pocket?

please help me! i want to be able to use the pretty nappies for more than an hour as i brought them to use when we go out so i wouldn't have to use sposies. if they don't last longer i will have to go back to sposies.

Edited: oh i also have very limited funds so the cheaper the better options please.

I'd be happy to help if you can post the composition of the nappy, or point to the auction, or something of the sort - more info is needed! Also are the nappies new or used?

the nappies were used in a good condition. they have no tags or identifing marks. 1 has snaps the other 3 have aplix or velcro. they have what feels to be pul on the outside and fleece on the inner. it also has a sewn completely inside the nappy a booster. i don't know what the booster is made from. i think the problem might be the fact that around the legs the inside fleece doesn't turn out (curl over) like my green kids do. so it wicks. and it doesn't seem to be very absorbant as it was sopping wet after only an hour.
