Hi ladies

I don't know if this is the appropriate place to put this but figured you would have some good ideas for me. I was just wondering if you would be able to help me with a problem a friend is having? I am specifically after resources in Brisbane (preferably in the Western suburbs as she doesn't drive but if there are good resources elsewhere I am happy to take her).

My friend's ds is 15months old, he is an absolute delight but they are having MAJOR problems with feeding and sleeping. My friend has numerous medical problems/allergies so they have to be careful what they feed him. He is also a fussy eater. They had some allergy tests done recently and established some things he is allergic to.

He is seeing a physiotherapist for low muscle tone, however he is crawling and he does stand and walk around furniture a little bit.

But by far the biggest issue is sleep. She has tried everything..controlled crying etc. He is up and down ALL night and is difficult to get to sleep during the day also. She is absolutely exhausted and at the end of her tether. She can't get into Riverton for months and when she has spoken to them they have been less than helpful. We are looking for any suggestions. She mentioned something about somebody possibly coming out to the house and working with her on a one-on-one basis.

As I said I don't know if you can help but any ideas that could help my friend would be greatfully received.

TIA

Last week I saw 2 people from a company called Night Nannies being interviewed on one of the morning TV programs. This is their website: www.nightnannies.com.au (http://www.nightnannies.com.au/). Perhaps they are the sort of people who can help your friend?? Good luck. :)
