Hi Everyone,

I am trying to determine whether or not my 5 month old DS is teething. He has all the typical symptons; drooling, chewing, bad nappy rash, very grumpy, not sleeping so well at night, rosy cheeks occassionally etc.

The only problem is, i cannot feel any teeth coming through. Is it possible he could be teething even though i cannot feel any teeth?

Thanks for your help.

It could be possible that he's teething.
The teeth can go up and down in their gums for a while. Brianna has been teething for months now - but none have come through yet!! :)

Thanks for your reply.

I really think that he is teething but my Step-MIL keeps dismissing it and saying that he has no teeth coming through so he's not teething!! She also seems to think that all these symptoms are from starting on solids. (He started about 4 days ago but the symptons have been on and off for about 6 weeks or more.)

She is ALWAYS trying to tell me that i am wrong and she is right so i just thought i would get other opinions before i say anything...Just in Case!!

My DD Raleigh has been teething for months. The teeth would raise and lower, raise and lower and finally last week both bottom ones broke through. Now she's crotchety as I think more are on the way.
