shaking his head

Ozzy's doing this thing where a couple of times a day he gets a confused look on his face then shakes his head like :no:
he doesn't seem to be in any pain but i was worried it might be a sign of an ear infection or something - but none of the books mention it as a sign. because he's well in all other regards (teething like a demon, though) i'm not really freaking but i'm still concerned it's something i should figure out - DP is very worried and thinks ozzy has a "sore brain or something" (blokes:p )
any ideas of what could be causing it?

Rebecca does that all the time too. Unless he seems in pain I wouldn't worry about it. Rebecca thinks is a hoot.

Perhaps it's a sign of intelligence, like he's thinking really hard about something? Or maybe he's noticing that shaking his head makes the thing he's looking at move in front of his eyes, KWIM? He's learning to understanding perception.

DS1 did that for awhile I had forgotten about it till I read your post :D . I cant remember how young he was, I think in between 1 - 2 but then again it could have been before he was 1 - I have no idea sorry :o . Anyway its most likely one of those "phases" some babies/toddlers go through, if you are still worry take her to your doctor.

Maybe its something you do when your trying to figure something out and hes copying you.

Our kids do funny things. Its amazing what they pick up on and we don't even realise we do it.

my ds shakes his head too lol at first it was just like your bub but now you can ask him a question like "do you want to watch a dvd" and he will shake hsi head and hand you a dvd lol
i would say your bub has learnt a new skill :)
