I am thinking of buying a bread maker.... mostly because I love fresh bread, and the smell of fresh bread :) but also so I can experiment a little with different flavours and hide fruit etc in it for my kids.
What brand is best? Any recommendations? Any brands I should avoid??

I have a palsonic, it's about 9 year old now  and it has been used constantly the whole time and never had one problem.

I use my thermomix to make bread, mixes and kneads it in 2 min  I have an old panasonic one my mum gave me but the tin clicks off the mechanism that kneads the bread all the time! That and I hate holes in the bottom of my bread :o

Thanks for your replies :)
I have enough awards points on our credit card to get a sunbeam one for free but I looked up reviews on it and they aren't that great (bugger!), but did read that the palsonic is meant to be really good. Mmmm... I really want one but am wondering if this is just one of my phases and will be a waste of money
we have an old breville one that my inlaws never used. I love it, we use it a couple times a week (have had it for nearly 2 years now). It works great, nothing fancy but fruit bread is delicious. You can add grains and seeds etc to make a healthy loaf with no additives.

I have a breville bakers oven, and I love it, so easy to use and clean. Theres nothing better than waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread!

My MIL has had her sunbeam for 2 years now and she makes bread every second day and has had no problems with hers. It's soo much cheaper to make your own bread and sooo much nicer. I make lots of different breads too like
tomato and pesto
eggplant and parmasen
onion capsicum and cheese.
Apples and cinimon
caramelized banana.
Mmmm yumo I'm going to go make some bread now
