Hey everyone!!! I need some advice. I have been having severe morning sickness- well, all day sickness! I am throwing up anywhere from 4-12 times a day! My doctor has put me on maxolon- and it helped the first day- but not doing much now. I am now throwing up blood! Not much- but just about everytime i throw up- there is blood there. Could it just be from throwing up so hard- and having nothing left in my stomache- and it is straining???? Im only 10 weeks pregnant- i cant keep going like this! its hard to even work! any advice?? should i just go straight back to the doctors or am i just being silly??

i was the same. :barf: from 3 weeks til i was 7 months. i tried everything and nothing worked until i got some of the seasickness bands. that helped. i also learnt which foods would be ok to eat and which ones whould send me running to the loo to :barf: i would go and see your dr again. you will have to keep a close eye on your weight. i actually lost 24kg before i started to gain weight at 81/2 months. even then when they weighed me at 40+1 i was 6 kg under my pre-pregnancy weight. i hope it goes away for you soon.

Sounds like you may have Hyperemesis Gravidarum. I was throwing up blood and called the hospital and they told me to come straight into emergency where they put me on top shelf medication for the vomiting and gave me IV fluids as I was dehydrated and had key tones in my urine. I would be inclined to call the hospital or after hours GP for advice.

BTW the blood is from tearing in you stomach - too much strain.

I work basically all night shifts- so i have been fairly lucky in the fact that i can stay in bed until about 1.00pm. I cant stand the thought of eating, and i know that i have to- so i just eat whatever is going to come up the easiest. I was drinking orange juice for a couple of days- but the taste has put me off completely. My mum was sick for the entirety of her pregnancies (all 8 of them!). Im really finding it hard to work- and im soooo tired! It's funny! cos i just want my mum!!! (big sook!):gloomy: i will try go to the hospital this afternoon. I'm at work now ( and have :barf: up 6 times already this morning!) I feel sooo depressed!

Elle, :hugs: hope it gets better for you, definitely see someone - throwing up blood doesn't sound very healthy for you ...
Hi Ellie
I would sugest you go to the nearest Emergency Department. I was hospitalised many times with DS and in the end they put me on Zofren a drug they use for people undergoing chemo. It was the only thing that helped the vomitong.
Please don't leave it too long (like I did) and get some medical help.

I am now 15 weeks pregnant and only just slowing down. I tried everything from maxalon to zomig a drug for people on Kemo and nothing really worked for me. Just the last week it has slowed down from 24 hours a day vomit to about 1-2 a day. My suggestion..... be patient.
