Well I got as job on Friday, night fill at woolies at least 20 hrs a week.
Just wandering if anyone here does this kind of thing, the hours you work and how you find it etc.
Great to hear you have a job. I work about 30 hours a week in a RSL Club I work mainly nights from 4.00 - 12.30am with some day shifts on those days I have one in daycare and one at school and after school care. Luckily for us my DH finishes work in time for me to start at 4.00pm we meet at the door briefly for a few minutes. The hours we hard at first but I'm been in hospitality now for about 5 years, so our kids are used to it.
Hope all goes well for you and your family

Hi .. i also work 20 hrs a week cleaning at a newspaper. I start at 3am and work until 7am. My DH has a 9 to 5 job, so we too meet at the door breifly. It was hard at first becuse of the hours i worked and getting up so early, but we all got used to it, and the plus side is we dont have to pay for childcare during the day, which is a huge bonus.
Good luck with it!

Thanks for the replies. How did you guys find adjusting to not being able to snuggle in bed anymore and that kind of thing. I said to DF the other this is one of the last nights we can lay in bed and watch tv together, made us both a lil :crying: LOL:o
I think we miss the snuggling, but you begin to enjoy any time you have together. Can you really enjoy those nights you do have at home.
Hope all goes well

I am thinking about MAYBE going back to work when both my kids are in school (not for a while yet) and hoping to work nights somewhere, maybe in a supermarket or something like that. I don't really have any skills or qualificiations, I worked in a daycare center before I had Hayley but I didn't really like it much plus I have my own kid (soon to be kids) to look after. Do you think they would still train me (in retail) because of my age (24, I'll be older by the time I go back to work, IF I go back to work) or am is it too late???

Lots of mums in my town do night fill at coles, the hours are convenient I think, cause daddies are home :yelclap:
