Morning all!

So, I have my beautiful baby boy and my life is complete.... almost.

Something is missing! Friends. I've got none.

Now, I've been a very sporty person all my life. I was a competitive horse rider for most of my life, and all my friends were horsey people. Then I was a competitive Karate person and all of my friends were karate people. I no longer ride, or do karate, and I have no friends. boo

So, Horseriding is far too expensive and I just can't afford it, so that's out. Karate, I'd love to get back into, but I just can't stand the thought of going to training and leaving my son at home with his father while I train! I could take him, and have him on the sideline watching, but I'd have to race to him whenever he got upset, and he may bother the other people training, so I guess that's out to! I have zero coordination for ball sports, so things like netball/soccer/touch/tennis are out too.

So my question to YOU is, what sports do YOU do with your baby in tow?

I really need this! My husband reguarly goes mountain bike riding with his mates, and Hayden and I are left at home, me feeling like a total loser nigel no friends. My weekends are spent sitting around the house with Hayden. At least I have him, or I'd be sitting around the house on my own :gloomy:

could join a mother walking/jogging group where they bring bubs along :)
or you could join a swimming club/gym where they have a creche?

indoor volleyball etc? lots of these type of places have creches these days

Thanks Ezza. The walking/jogging group isn't a bad idea. Does anyone know of one in Brisbane/Redlands area?

I am a member of a gym with a creche, but I HATE leaving him there. I go once a week. I can't bring myself to do it more often than that, as there are always so many children of all different ages there and it freaks me out. He's already at childcare 2 days a week while i work which I hate. I can't stand the idea of any more time away from him! But at the same time, I need something

I am playing netball and bringing my DD, they have a kinda creche on the sideline(2 people watching up to 10 kids usually less they supply the toys) and if your child is upset or anything happens you can go to them and unlike the usual rules of having to wait until the next centre you can just walk on and off.

Its a really good set up and DD loves it too.
