I was just wondering when are you more fertile?? Is it before or after a period? If after how long afterwards? :confused:
When you ovulate. If you have a 28 day cycle, theoretically, you ovulate on day 14 (that is 14 days after the first day of your last period). You can buy Ovulation Predictor Kits at the chemist, and these are a good way to calculate when you are most fertile. :)

It would be 14 days from the beginning, so the first day of your period is day one. Hope that makes sense? :)

mmm, I am no expert, but you are certainly more likely to conceive on the couple of days leading up to and including day of O, so yes, day 12 would be a contender.

Sperm can live for 3 to 5 days and in the right conditions can live for 7 days. That being said day 12 of a 28 day cycle is not a good day for sex if you don't want to concieve. I am sure if you are you will be happy! Don't stress unless you miss your period.

I have a 35 day cycle which meens I ovulate around 17 / 18 days after the first day of period, you need to work out your cycle then divide it by 2 starting from your first day of period and it should be pretty accurate.

Its very possible you could get pregnant!!
not sure if this is something you believe in or not, But you could always get the morning after pill from the chemist.
I think you can take it up to 72 hours after the 'deed'.

As DH leaves again on the 4th sept and i'm due on the 1st Sept

you can do, but you are better to wait until at least the day AF is due youll get a more accurate result then.

Earliest a test would be positive is 7dpo.
So up to a week before AF, but if you got a BFN it wouldn't mean you're necesarlily not!

digitals arent very sensitive, i wouldnt reccommend using one before AF is due

We had to see a fertility specialist before conceiving DS and he did say to me that this is a common thought pattern re ovulation, however he stated to us that you ovulate 14 days before your period. which meant for me on a 34 day cycle that i ovulated on day 20... does this make sense?

with this bub...we spent most of June...doing the deed...I checked for pregnancy with clearblue (not digital) the two for one pack from the chemist and I tested about 2 days before AF was due and it showed a very faint line, I didn't think it was strong enough (hubby consider it positive) and then I tested about a day after it was due and the line was a little darker and thats when I went to the doctors and he confirmed it with a blood test. It is possible to test too early...it really depends on how high the pregnancy hormone levels are in your system...

Have another silly question...
What are the signs of pregnancy? Its been to long, i have forgotten. :confused:
Do you lose white stuff before your actually due for your period?
I stoped the pill on Monday and haven't got my period yet, but i dont normally get them for two days after i stop. I have done a test yesterday afternoon and that was neg... Could it be to early or could i not be pg?

mummyof2, I'm in a similar situation to you, but I'm not due until the 5th Sept...just wish I could find out now too, I'm feeling weird body things going on but not sure if it just might be normal pre period things!!? Or just my mind playing tricks on me!:confused:
