At round about what age do babies start teething?
My 5 month old has been chewing on everything and dribbling lots for last few weeks. Plus he is very clingy, could he be teething? I cant see or feel anything I dont think.

At what age? Before birth.. some babies are even born with teeth (not often)
My son got his first tooth at 3 months :)
Teething signs can carry on for a long time without any sign of a tooth, just do your best :)
My little 4.5 month old is well and truly teething....started just before he was 3 months.
Still no teeth through yet but they're on their way :D

Yes it's true some babies are born with teeth. Any time really. My DS had his first at 10 weeks. Please don't use bonjella (it only burns the gum tissue with alcohol in it to numb the pain) not 1 dentist I know recommend it (family mostly dentists and gave worked for many too) just use cold teething chewable toys, panadole, pain stop etc. (painstop is great at night cause it lasts 6 hours at a time and helps bub sleep well) your bub is very normal by the way. Hope this helps
I've found Hylands Teething Tablets to be a God Send :) They dissolve on bub's tongue and they really settle him down...I use this all the time and only resort to using bubby panadol when it's absolutely necessary.
The tablets are about $9.95 from most chemists. There is also some gel (SM33 or something like that) for babies who are teething, I plan on checking that out tomorrow. I agree about Bonjela, I'm avoiding that like the plague.

My 3 month old is teething - i'm sure of it.
DD1 got her first 2 teeth by 6 months but started teething around 4 months.

Yep! Sounds like teething! My little one does the same thing everytime he gets a new tooth. Is VERY clingy and attached to me. I agree with Pinkvanillaz re. Hylands - these tablets work wonders. Wonder where you buy them from so cheap though...I normally get mine for $13.95! Goodluck with your 5 month old. Mine started teething at 6 months and got teeth pretty much straight away. My friend's baby started teething at 4 months, but didn't get teeth til 2.5 months later - she was not happy! Hope all goes well.
My son got his first tooth a 6 months but had been drooling and pink cheeked for months.
