Need some help plz. Our new neighbours gave us a bag of lemons and i am at a loss on what to do with them. I have made lemon merigue (sp?) pie and i have even juiced a heap and put them in the freezer for nice ice blocks for drinks for when summer finally gets here. But other than that i am stumped. Any good ideas????:chef:

lemon butter? preserved lemons?
I do love lemon slice too!
I love this lemon tart thing ..
get a pie shell from the grocery store ..
get a can of condensed milk ..
juice some lemons ..
stir the lemon juice through the condensed milk .. till just tangy (that is why there is no specific amount of juice... its to taste :) )
pour milk and lemon juice into shell.. smooth over and refridgerate..
- when serving .. add whipped cream and fruit (passionfruit is good) if you want :D
it is the easiest 'recipe' ever :D

i would make a yummy lemon spread... even slice up the lemon and freeze some so you can put it in drinks as well.. then you can pull out a slice and put it in your cup of tea... yummmmm... oh and what about cheese cake..

This would probalby only use up a couple of lemons but how about doing roast chicken. I did a raost chicken a while ago and as well as stuffing it with all the spices and stuff i put a heap of lemon slices in the chicken and then squeezed lemon juice on the skin..... it gave the chicken a really nice taste but i dont think you still get the crunchy skin.

I make wiener schnitzel with lemons. Marinate the veal/pork in lemon juice for 20 minutes and then breadcrumb as per usual. Fry. The lemon makes it absolutely delicious. That's 2 lemons down!

I do a similar thing I also have potatoes in the same pan and drizzle lemon juice over them as well as par boil them with a whole lemon and a bulb of garlic (got that idea from Jamie oliver). After that I chuck some of the garlic and fresh thyme in the chicken , poke holes in the lemon while steaming hot and quickly shove up the chooks butt then I rub salt, pepper and olive oil over the chicken then the rest of the garlic. I then get another lemon and roll it really well on the bench(this helps when juicing) cut it, seed it then squeeze the juice all over the chicken and potatoes and cover the chicken with the yellow flesh. In the last 45 minutes in the oven I let some chunks of butter melt all over the chicken so it crisps up and the skin is really yummy
