More money before or after kids??

Do you find you have more now or more before you had kids?

Even though we have always been a single income family, we find that we have more money now than we did before we had 3 extra mouths to feed. Very strange really....I always wonder what we spent that extra money on..............

It's a hard call, but I voted about the same.

We've made sacrifices since we've had kids, but on the other side, we've also built a home and have a newish car etc.

Had way more money before kids. I had an income so we pretty much had money to burn.

We have more now...we don't go out any where near as much - and that's how we blew lots of money. Also neither of us smoke now.

We have the same I think,
unfortunatley our pub closed while I was away waiting to have Hugh so now if we want to go out we're more likely to go over to our neighbour's.
We prob sound like alchos but our pub was 25 kms away and the only thing in our town! Now if I don't feel like cooking the closest place is 150kms away.

We definitely had more cash before bub. We had a double income and less expenses...but we sure wasted a lot of it then. We are much more careful of it now we only have one income and family assistance.

Ive got more money since having DD. Just coz I never really had a full time job. Now I do being a SAHM.

Before DS I was always blowing my money on cr@p, not I dont work and DF brings all the money home. We still live extremely comfortable and have savings in the bank. So probably better off after DS! :)

Less before.

We were living off my youth allowance (student), hubby was running his own buisness bringing home $45 a fortnight! We couldn't afford to have a home phone or anything.

When I fell pregnant we decided we couldn't go on living like that and he left the buisness when I was 6 months pregnant and got a 'paying' job.
We're now living on about 4 times our pre-baby income! :smiliedance:

I was working fulltime and getting 800 a week..

I have more money now but thats because Im saving money for important things for Bug instead of just wasting it on silly things like I used to!
