hi,
i am just on 3 months with my 3rd pregnancy... but we have only just moved from nsw less than 6 months ago, & we / "i" am really confused about where to go for pre-natal & booking hospital etc...
i wouldnt care & would love to just wing it at home, but as i have had two previous caesars & have a subchorionic haemorrhage this time
[added to the fact im overweight due to longterm depression/mental health issues exacerbated by 2 previous pregnancies] i have no idea of how to fulfill the desperate need to make decisions about how / where to be cared for pre-natal, let alone birth etc..
my closest "public" hospital [as we are currently on the pension due to my illness'] is wonthaggi district, but it is alllllllllllot different to how things worked when i lived in nsw [ i lived regionally there, but in comparison to my current healthcare it now seems like the big smoke]
has anyone used wonthaggi hospital maternity etc?
we have considered whether to up the expertise & travel to dandenong or monash but with a 3 & a 2 yr old, the 2hr travel each way is pretty tough..
also, i am a bit confused, is monash only for private?
because we have a referral for an obstetrician there, but from what ive read it does not appear to be an option for public patients at all...
anyway, have dribbled enough about what reads as actually not much,:ecomcity:
so hoping someone can help me out with my new location & reality check woes of healthcare in rural vic..
PEACE 2 ALL
