Hello,
I am desperately seeking advice and was hoping someone who may have been in a similar situation could help me.
My 5 month old son settles well at night initially, at 7pm he goes down then wakes constantly from about 9.30pm onwards and will only settle while nursing, he'll then go in his cot and pretty much wake every hour, I usually bring him into bed with us because I'm too tired to keep getting out of bed.
I have spoken to several people on the matter who say I must now concentrate on feeding my baby more during the day, 4 hourly as he's in a rut, 'drip-feeding' all night and not hungry during the day. I need to change this.
He also refuses dummies, bottles and food so I'm having troube getting him really full before bed.
This is to be my first night undoing his habitual night feeding, so that tomorrow he's hungry and will feed better all day.
I plan to feed him at 6pm, then put him down at 8pm and wake him to feed at 10pm and leave him the rest of the night.
It seems a bit extreme to not feed him once during the night, and he's sure to refuse water.
How can I do CC but ensure he's not too hungry? I have done control crying before and think it's awesome but it was with my daughter who was an entirely different baby!
I'd be so grateful if someone could help!
Sorry this is so long winded!:ecomcity:
