I dont think there is any young parents play groups around here :no:, be good if there was though, its always nice to have something in common with someone close by.

Theres nothing like that here, but the mums in our Mothers Group are fantastic! Most of us are young (I mean 20ish to 30ish), so we can relate to each other really well :).

i don't... i just go to the bubhub meetups and another mummy group that was created via here

I used to have a Young Mums Group (ages up to 26yo approx) down south but haven't found something similiar since moving to western suburbs (Adelaide).

There are playgroups etc but as I'm a 22yo single mum I find myself sitting on the "sidelines" of most discussions.. especially when most mums are discussing weddings, husbands work, favourite pasta sauce recipe.. all those lovely domesticated things I haven't sussed out yet!? :rolleyes:

So I find groups specific for Young Mums beneficial as we're usually more isolated as our friends, siblings etc are not settling down also so you can feel alone (unlike if you start your family later in life you're likely to have more support around you)..

I use to go to a young mums playgroup when i had jade but they stopped running it for awhile and then started it back up just before i had hayden so i didnt join back for awhile and by the time i wanted to i was 21 and that was the cut off age and since then i havnt found ANY groups around at all.I'd love to go to one but i dont drive and theres none near by.

the playgroup I go too has mainly young mums, or at least they se very good anti-ageing cream. its not a young mum exclusive though.

I do, its on tomorrow! Its for mums under 23.. used to be under 21, im glad they changed it as i AM now 21!

I've gone since zach was a newborn, absolutely love it

i go to one in belmont its got alot of young mums goin to it, i also go onto a young mums perths website that has meet ups, u can pm me if u want more details:D

I go to a young mums' playgroup every Tuesday and a normal playgroup every Thursday. One of my friends wants me to go to ANOTHER playgroup but I think 2 is enough for me. The young mums' group is ages 25 and under (though there are a few 26 year olds) I think coz they started there when there kids were younger, hence THEY themselves were younger iykwim.

We went to a young mums meet once but that was it. Then we went for a regular playgroup for a few months but that didnt work out :thumbsdown: I'd love to find an actual young mums playgroup around my area though :)

Hi there.

I have a 10 month old little girl and i have never gne to a mums group, im located in the parramatta area, can someone please help me, i dont know where to go.
I would really like my daughter to play with other kids, and get her out of the house, i also need to get out and interact with other mum, im in 20's. :wave:

ive started going to a playgroup here, its great, and it gives my 2dd a chance to play with other children and i also get to chat and meet other mums too, its great! :thumbsup:

I'm sure there are young mums playgroups in the Brissie area, give the playgroup association a call or try the website, we have a young Mums group that we started this year here in Nth Qld.

Im just about to start at a play group.. its in yarraville {Melbourne}(i think) run by anglicare..... if anyone lives near there and wants detail let me know.... i wonder what ppl do at these thing???? i think there is something to do with music therpy.

Well me and Sasa just decided it was about time to create a safe non-judgmental group for young Mummies. We posted in the Playgroup section of BH and got loads of interest! It's great! :thumbsup:
