tips for a boy!

Hey ttc no.1 & we would love a boy, is there any tips on what methods worked for you to get your boy?

Mind you any gender would be great!

i never tried for a certain sex, and i have 2 boys.

all i know is that they were concieved on the day i ovulated.

after researching on ways to have a girl, (my hope for 3rd and final bub one day) if you google shettles method, it talks about the closer to ovulation the more likey you areto have a boy.

i have friends with boys who say they dtd when ovulating aswell.

We weren't gender swaying but both of my girls were conceived on the day of ovulation, so according to textbook, they should be boys.

We followed the Billings method of DTD on the day of ovulation to get a boy and we got one :DThe secret is to not have sex in the few days before O, as that's the period for a girl.

We are also ttc #1 and are hoping for a boy. But, as with you, we will be happy with either sex as having a healthy bub is most important.

We didn't DTD until I was O and then didn't DTD for a few days afterward. Timing is (supposedly) critical.

Another thing is the condition of your V. The wetter the better. Also, a alkaline environment within the V is more favourable for boy spermies. If it's too acidic it can "kill" the boy spermies.

This is all from what I had researched from the net, so who knows what to believe as nothing is fully backed by a scientific study from what I found. Google the Shettles Method and this should point you in the right direction for what to be doing to raise your chances for a boy.

I'm currently in the tww, so if I get a BFP I'll let you know down the track what I'm having as I'll be finding out the sex :D

Hi, I have 2 boys and I am pretty sure that both were conceived on O day or just after.
I also ate pretty much a boy diet (without realising) in-gender.com has info on diets.

Yep thats what i did and it WORKED for both boy and girl. In that order that i wanted phew

They also say diet to i did alot of dairy before falling with my son- but i'm a dairy girl. and funny enough i was turned off yoghurt when preggiers and couldnt go back to it for some reason so then i guess i wasnt so dairy for the girl which i think is more salty

Does anyone have a web site for the Billings method? All the ones I have looked at only tell you how to get pregnant, and don't mention gender sway.
