Anyone her using green kids pockets.. how old was your baby before you stopped doing the newborn fold, with the top front folded down?
Did you find them bulky for a small baby? What age did they start fitting just right?
I started using them when DD was a month old. We didn't try them before then. The fit was great even at that age.
DD is 8 1/2 months old and I still find them incredibly bulky on her. she's a skinny bub so maybe that's why but we only use them for overnight. I can't see them not being bulky on her until she's a toddler.
What inserts are you using Carmen?

I cant remember when I started using them on MJ. She is only 8.5kg & 15 months & they fit great. I still have to overlap the front panels :o

Because we only use them for nights we are using the microfibre insert with the large hemp. DD is a big wetter and she needs the extra padding to go all night. Without the microfibre they aren't as bulky but I prefer nappies that are sized, rather than one's from newborn to toddler's, for DD. During the day we use fuzzi bunz and they fit her perfectly. She is wearing small's (they are from 4kg-8kg) and they snaps around the waist are still at the tightest they can go (and she is 7.3kg).
Don't get me wrong, I love Green's for o'night. They last 12-13 hours which is perfect and Fuzzi bunz recently only started lasting 10 hours (which is why I bought a couple of Green's) but if someone asked me what the best nappy is for during the day I wouldn't say Green's.
Fair enough. I only use the microfibre during the day and only add the hemp at night, which makes them a little less bulkier.:)
My DD is 6 months old and just under 7 kg. I bought the trial and found them too bulky on her but having said that....I saw tickle's idea about just using the microfibre and have it on today and its a perfect fit, not too bulky at all and fits so nicely under clothes too! Just have to see how the wetness goes with it, then I will know if its a goer....btw thanks tickle I have become much more positive with my greens and even going to order some more....though I have ordered some fuzzi bunz and fruit salads to try too!
That's great babytoo. You obviously won't get as long out of them with just the microfibre, but I think it's worth it not to have the bulk all day. If you are looking for a trim pocket the Fruit Salad nappies are great. They have the cutest designs too.

So when you say they are too bulky, do you mean to wide for between the legs, or two thick.. too much padding?
I found between the legs too bulky, they have medium and large hemparoos to put inside and the medium ones are definately better too!
My DD has fallen asleep in her Green Kids with just the microfibre right now and I put it on at about 7.00am this morning so we will see if it leaks...coming up to the 3 hour mark right now.....will let you know!

Of a day I stuff mine with a flannalette flat & microfibre cleaning cloth. That does MJ 4-5 hours easy

Just using a microfibre i get a good 4hrs unless Boof is sitting a lot say stuck in his pram.
Greens are "bulkier" but overall arent too bad it depends on how you stuff them !
Boof walks like a cowboy in his dreamytimes lol cause they are stuffed so much !
I have a few Swaddlebees which are incredibly trim like a disposable but my problem with them is because of being so trim they are incredibly hard to stuff !!! I wouldnt even dare ask DP to try !!! I use them when we go out sometimes & if Boof is wearing a particular outfit that hasnt much room.
I couldnt tell you how they go on a newborn as we only started using them about 9mths ago & also Boof wasnt exactly a newborn cause he was the size of a 2mth old when born !!! But they have been a perfect fit all this time its only recently that he has gone through another growth spurt & they are starting to become to low in the rise which makes me sad to know he will be out of them soon enough. Boof is the size of a 2yr old & is starting to go from size 2's into 3's to give you an idea of how big they will go !
ok...DD is awake and dry as a bone! She had an anytime with just microfibre in....so 4 hours... i'm heading right to the gk website now to add to my stash, very happy with gk now!!!
