listen to everyones opinions/advice, then try what you want to, see what works and throw out the rest. Only you know whats best for you and your family, no one else, regardless of what they say!

Go with your gut feeling and do what feels right for you.

the other girls hit the nail on the head while it is great for people to offer advice ultimately the same things dont work for everyone

on that note though if you get any remedies for stuff like wind etc from the older generation im talking Grandparents etc id write them down cause then you will always have a record of it even if it doesnt work for bubs it might for the next one

i had a book started at my babyshower that all the guests wrote well wishes and tips/advice in so i could always have it

but it is your decision in the long run:D

If I had mt time again I would read as much as I could and get as much advise about sleep and routines before the baby comes, no one tells you. When your pregnant it's all about the birth. I would say read up about tired signs!

not to be afraid !!!!
get the best sleep you can and know that if your baby doesnt go to sleep the first time he/she will eeventually fall asleep when they need to.

I will Third this one

Being a mum is hard there are no easy answers as every child is different. So do your best and always give your kids at least 2 hugs a day for no reason cause they need to know they are loved and sometimes you need it too. ;)

i would have to say dont listen to peoples horror birth stories. some people exaggerate everything. some people are just jealous that ur going to have a new bubba, and pretty much everyone will have things to say to try and scare you off. i just tried to block out the bad and go with the good!
but at the same time dont be thinkin it will be a fairy tale thing!

and go with your gut instinct.

Dont use google half the time. Trust your instincts, and your doctor/obs.

it's more important to have a happy, well-fed bub, and a happy, well-fed & not very tired mum.. than it is to have clean floors.

If you have visitors, make them work! This isn't a walk in the park for you, it shouldn't be one for them! (start making a nice laundry pile now, it's kinda funny to watch when your sleep deprived).

Sleep, Sleep SLEEP....!!

Right down the date everytime you have a shower lol It's odd, but sometimes you lose track of time and if your sniffing dirty nappies all day you don't really think to smell yourself lmao

Do your pelvic floor muscles, and ALWAYS go to the toilet before having a shower, usually in the weeks following v-birth, if you don't, don't say I didn't warn you! LOL

*I also agree with everyone else, but didn't want to repeat what has been said :p

Don't ever think that one nappy in the nappy bag will be enough.

Following on with CK's post....always keep a spare nappy in the glovebox of your car.

I have an emergency pack in the car.
You can put it in the boot or glove box.

Mine contains:

3 x Nappies
1 x Sample pack of huggies wipes (free in boxes of huggies)
3 x Sachets of formula
1 x Bottle of Pump Water (good for pouring into bottles without spills)
Half a dozen plastic spoons (for baby food)
Half a dozen forks (for yoursefl/older children)
Strip of Panadol
Pack of natural travel sickness tablets
Pack of plasters
$5 in change (for payphone if mobile is flat)If you keep it small it does not take up much room; that's important for all the mums who have silly little sporty cars like myself.

My DD is only 5 months but I have been so thankful for my little boot bag sometimes when I have stayed at a girlfriend's house longer than expected or had to pick someone up who's car had broken down etc.

I also keep a spare change of clothes and some bunny rugs in the car too.

Get your daily dose of bubhub:laughing:

Sleep! Don't worry if the clothes aren't folded, the toys are all over the floor or the dishes aren't done, if your'e tired from the LONG night you've had take a nanna nap!

Make your darling DP/DF/DH take bubs for awhile so you can get your sanity back for a bit. It's amazing how good you feel when you can be you for a little bit!
