Likes to just sit on the toilet... for ages

So DS is, for all intents and purposes, TT'd for day time :smiliedance:

However, he will often just sit on the toilet after he's done his wee and if you try to take him off there's a tantrum. Now normally this wouldn't be a problem, however, sometimes someone else needs to use the toilet (and we only have 1 functioning toilet at the moment) or it's in the morning before CC and we have to hurry so DF can take him to CC and get to work on time.

Rather than standing over him we've taken to not giving him attention when he's just sitting there doing nothing. However, that's risky because he likes to unravel the toilet paper and if you take the roll off and move it, well there's another bout of tears. :rolleyes:

Help us get DS off the toilet in a timely manner!!!

short term?? I wuoldn't give him a high five/ treat/ star (any reward at ALL) until he was off the toilet. my boys couldn't get off the toilet fast enough if there was a small lolly involved .. (if they didn't move fast enough - we might hypothetically eat a lolly while we were waiting :laughing: )

We only have one toilet too - seriously we hate it when the kids SIT for awhile .. :laughing: you have my sympathy

(if you squish the toilet roll hon .. it wont spin as fast .. (make the inner tube an oval rather than circle)

can you get an egg timer or the 3 minute shower timer things? you don't want to pressure him but if he is just playing, you can give him a set amount of time, and he can watch the timer and when times up he has to get off.
