Hi Ladies,

just found this forum. I've been in the Due Feb11 chat for a bit.

I am due 4th Feb 2011.

We've done four cycles of IVF using ICSI after the little swimmers wanted nothing to do wit my eggs in the first cycle.

This was our second transfer with a lovely AA grade 5 day blastocyst. I even got a photo of it!

Aside from some bleeding during week 5 & 6 :(, and some "evening sickness" over week 6 & 7 :barf:, I now seem to have a fairly good time of it... although my waistline is starting to suffer!

I've seen bubba twice now with a lovely strong heartbeat, and growing at the correct size for dates and look forward to seeing my little bean again (with some trepidation as it is my NT scan) on the 29th July.

Bubba - :hugs: - bleeding is always so bl00dy hard and scary. It has amazed me though how many of us actually had some bleeding early on, I bleed of 5 days (mostly brown blood with one day of red) and as lot of the girls already had said - they did too.
But I really think it is fair enough to ask for a scan, to live with the worry - :no: - not a good way to ease your mind. Demand it I say.....thinking of you..

Pls - I am the same as you, have only seen Buddha once at 7 weeks. YAY for 12 weeks,

AFM - 5 sleeps until NT Day, getting a little nervous now. I woke up queezy this morning but no puking which is good. I am sooo sniffly all the time, does anyone else have this problem?
I have my Madonna Bra on today and its not as bad as i thought, yes my girls aren't as upright as usual but really not that bad at all.
Thats pretty good for a $10 Bra.
I'm off to Brazil at lunch today, i get it done every 5 weeks to keep it maintained, gotta look neat and tidy for the OB:yes:

Misslink-welcome & congrats,you were lucky with M/S i suffered really bad from 4 days after transfer (blasts) until now like today will hopingly be my 5th day with none.

Well guess what its WEDNESDAY!!!!! 12 weeks today & also my first Ante-Natal appointment early this morning.... am excited now.So scoffing breakfast,cuppa,shower & wash the mop (doing that, tires me out) then off to my appointment.Yet to get DH up !!!:hair: He's thoroughly enjoying this break between jobs....:yes:

Horray for 12 weeks today, is that now classified as you in your second trimester? Or is that 13 weeks.,.... never understood that really.
I made an appt for this friday for my 12 week appt, what do they do at that anyway?
Bloods next monday then scan on wednesday then back to doctor friday for results hopefully.

I have my interview soon, at 10am and i think i will tell him about the baby thing.
I am a very honest person and i think they would appreciate the honesty.

Hate interviews but i might end up with some work that would be nice then we can start buying some stuff since we have not bought anything

Lissy - I had to read your last line twice (brain still suffers from the lack of caffiene). I thought you were off to Brazil. How nice would that have been? Enjoy the opportunity to have a lie down in the middle of the day anyway :laughing:

Zofar - I had a look at maternity clothes on line too but had no idea about sizes so left it alone. Will make sure I leave it well alone now.

Good luck at your interview Angela. I would tell them too. I would just feel too guilty to tell them later. Besides if they don't give you the job then they're not a very good company to work for anyway. Knock 'em dead!

Pls - YAAAAY for reaching 12 weeks! Great work...not long til you see bubbas again!!

Lissy - I cracked up at "madonna bra"...too funny! I have been quite sniffly too, but I read cold and flu symptoms are common in pregnancy!

Angela - Best of luck with your interview! I think it's safer to be honest. Let us know how it goes! PS I think 13 weeks is the start of 2nd trimester!

Mrs P - Good luck with your BT results today, I'm sure they will all be fine :)

assenav - I got a bit confused with maternity clothes sizing online too. I didn't get anything, which is a shame, cos I found a couple of nice dresses.

AFM - Have had a couple of days of terrible M/S but seems to have eased off today. I'm such a stresser that I would actually rather the M/S so I know things are okay. I really need to get my head checked haha. Looking forward to reaching 9 weeks tomorrow. Not happy I have another week and a half til my next scan!! Hope everyone else is having a good Wednesday! :hugs:

McShad - I have been exhausted too! I wake up about 6am, then can't help but fall back to sleep til about 9.30am. YUK. Luckily I have the option to work from home, so noone notices. I just hate sleeping in, feel so lazy!

Hey everyone!!!

I GOT THE JOB, but I was being interviewed by 2 males and there was never a good time to bring up the pregnancy thing.

So they want me to start Monday!!!!

I think I will call him back this afternoon and tell him.

ALso, I have my Nt scan booked for next wednesday so I would of been working there for 2 days then a day off?? SHould I try and reschedule my appt for this friday??? Means I would have to get my bloods done today???

All this stress!!!!!!

Congratulations Angela!:smiliedance:Fantastic news. See if you can reschedule your test for Friday and if you can't then that gives you a good excuse to ring them back this afternoon and tell them of the situation. Although, they can't un-offer you the job now as that would be discrimination. But if you can change your scan to Friday I would just tell them first thing Monday morning. Explain that you wanted to be upfront with them in the interview but it all happened so quickly...blah, blah but that you're committed to this role and look forward to working with them over the next 8 months.

Most importantly enjoy your last few days of freedom. Treat yourself to a couple of nanna naps!

Nat1 - :laughing: about the m/s. I'm exactly the same. My accupuncturist offered to give me a press stud to minimise the m/s but I said no I liked feeling sick as it reminded me that I was pregnant. He laughed and said "well, let me know when you're over it." I'm over it!! SO OVER IT!!!! But still can't bring myself to do it, not until we get past 12 weeks.

I also work from home, although have been good about not sneaking off for naps. But have been REALLY bad for spending too much time reading Bub Hub!!!

I'm not having a NT scan (just a normal one) so am not positive on dates but I was pretty sure anything past 11 weeks is fine.

Actually, I don't live far from you (Keperra) so we should organise a juice date one day. Compare baby bumps ;)

Hi everyone.

Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts. I went to EPAS today and they did a quick scan and we still have 2 bubbas with little heart beats!!:smiliedance: We are over the moon. We know we are still not out of the woods but know we are all good for now. I am so looking forward to having a good night sleep tonight as I think I had about 2 hours last night.

Angela - That is great news about the job, what a quick turn around. I agree with assenav, tell them after your scan
on Friday, you could just tell them that you wanted everything confirmed beforehand. is this a permanent role?

Well i have been and came back from Brazil. that was a quick trip:laughing: At least i am all clean and tidy now. I bought some Lentil soup that i usually like but today it is too tomatoey and tastes yuck. How dissapointing.

Welcome Miss Link and heres to smooth sailing for 9 months! Your situation sound similar to mine our first IVF the eggs and Sperm had a mexican stand off in the dish they did not want anything to do with each other!

Pls - :yelclap:for 12 weeks that is great news you must be over the moon!

Lissy - U r so funny I have not been game enough to have a brazilian since I found out i was UTD i just thought poor bubba should not have to endure it yet but at 12 weeks geesh its gonna hurt!

Angela - Hooray for getting the job that is great news! I would try to move the scan if you can then you get to start afresh on Monday!

Mrs P - :fingerscrossed: for good results! Funnily enough I broke out in spots on my legs it was so strange and Hubby is like oh my god you have chicken pox! He was so worried until I told him that my immunisation is up to date and that they start on your tummy!

Mc Shad - Feeling the tiredness I dont get up till 8am down again at 2pm for a nanna nap then in bed by 8.30 at the latest!

assenv - I work from home to and naps have become mandatory for me and bub hub is also another gripe i need to get over I limit myself to my lunchtime but if you miss one day thereis like 20 odd pages to catch up on!

Bubba - That is the best news in the world congrats for healthy heart beats!

AFM - Only 1 hr till I get to see bubba again :fingerscrossed: all is okay I have a bad feeling about this scan but I think it maybe from the last one I seem to have a bad scan then good one then bad again so :fingerscrossed: this is a good one but I must admit I am a bit worried :gloomy:

Hello ladies... took awhile to find you & my god 3 pages later already.... where gonna make a record amount of thread pages i think.

Well all good here!!! I am booked in for caesar on the 13th January unless i go earlier naturally or theres probs.We tried to hear the heartbeats but she couldnt find them but she promises we will next appointment in 2 weeks time.I have to take back my results from the bloods & NT scan next week & i will see my Ob Dr Green every visit not the midwives cause im a high risk pregnancy.So happy theyve booked in my caesar i have a date to look forward to as a definate.My blood pressure was really high when seeing the OB but afterwards doing all the history & check ups with the midwives it had dropped.Probably mixture of washing my hair,rushing out the door & the nerves... so all good for me.Still see my gp occaisonaly to keep her in the loop.Booked my 19wk Morphology scan for the 6th Sept also.:smiliedance: My OB is a bit essentric as my DH put it LOL

Assenav - Don't worry, i have had a bump since 8 weeks or maybe even earlier, i think it must depend where everything is positioned
and our shape etc. hehehe, nooooo hanky panky just yet. I need to do more research about having an O while Pregnant. My DH isn't a sex crazy man which is a little strange but good right now really.

Really Angela, no bump? Oh you make me jealous. Maybe I'm eating too much? Mine has really popped out this week (11 weeks). Its OK in jeans (gets pushed in) but anything else and its out there! I was hoping to stay in the same clothes for atleast another month but I don't know if that is going to happen........

I was very fit before I got pregnant, and had a personal trainer at the gym and used to go 4 times a week.
So Im hoping that has something to do with it.

Just had Bloods done and scan all booked for Friday.

And I heard back from my new job and they are still cool with me starting, they appreciated my honesty and starting Monday!

Angela, that's great new about the job. They sound like a great company to work for too.

Still jealous about the no baby bump....but I guess I'll get over it. I've tried to be good but my god I've been hungry! I have never eaten so much in all my life. I try not to but I'm always starving.

I'm at 11 weeks and have put on 1.5kg. Is everyone else around that? I know they say that you supposed to only add about 300 calories to your diet in the first trimester, which is apparently one small tub of yoghurt but obviously the person who wrote that was male or had never been pregnant and experienced such hunger!

Lissy, I like your reasoning. I may use that. The baby is obviously just sitting at the very front of my belly right under the belly button and that's why its pushing so far out :)

Sorry ladies i did a huge post earlier with personals for everyone ,walked away & dh grabbed the pc then it played up so he re-started & lost everything i typed. So will try again...

Lissy-i am brazil too but i did waxing for about 2 yrs then did the laser & ohh lala well worth the $$ i only have a few hairs grow back & none at all on my bikini line... i want to get the tops of my legs done too but its too expensive.I went to hair free centre when they had a $69 special & only did 7 treatments but they priced my leg & it was $300 per go no way... I searched about o'ing as well & asked today all is good if your feeling upto it.... just as well cause weve had heaps since getting pg.Were active in that way.. dont know how we'll be once the twins are born but dh will cope,im normally the one persuing it anyway.

Bubba-fantastic news on your scan.Big relief otherwise you'd spend the days worrying over nothing.

Michelle-its good to get a date to look forward to & strive for.If youve had a previous ceasar you'll probably be ceasared again unless you wanted to try naturally of course.

Well what a day im stuffed,sat at the hospital for exactly 3 hrs.First saw the OB then went & booked in for appointment in 2 weeks time then booked morfology scan for sept then back to wait to be seen by midwives to fill in history q's on the pc program & get checked over.Dh as usual had the staff laughing everywhere we went.He thrust the 7wk scans at the xray lady saying "want to see my kids"..... she looked n cracked up.:laughing: i just stood shaking my head,cant take him anywhere.Now about to attack my Baby Bounty bag see what goodies we got & read all the info from the hospital.Having left over spag bol tonight hehe ohh i asked why when i go the loo every couple of days ive got diaarhea they think its hormonal but OB said stay away from eating chicken when out, no matter where its from or if its hot,should never eat cold chicken no matter what either. Just what i needed him to say infront of dh... when i love my chicken.So if i continue having the runs they will take it further to see if ive got a bug but unless it gets worse or constant then call them or gp.Wow that was a long :ecomcity: look out we'll be onto thread 4 before we know it :laughing:

Assenav I am at 9.5 weeks and have put on 4.5 kilos :( I have been so hungry so i have just been eating. Right now I had a bowl of coco pops before dinner is ready.. probably not the best choice but ohhh well

Me..... I am turning into a lard ***, I can't believe how wide my hips are getting :hissy: I am so b!tchy to. I got so angry when the stupid m0le at the chemist wouldn't give me my savings card back when I paid for my pills. No reason for her to hang onto it. I left work 1.5 hours early today I couldn't be arsed being there anymore headache was a bit bad!

Hi all thanks for all the well wishes! Good News from our end YAY!!! :smiliedance:

Bubba A is going strong (hate caling 'it' so 'he') he is measuring 10wks 2 days perfect as that is what I am he has grown 2 weeks in 1 week so he obviously needed to extra nutrients! They took some great pics of him and they allowed up to watch him moving on the screen for about 10mins which was great heartbeat is 174bpm so also happy about that.

Now the weird thing, Bubba B has not moved its still in the same spot (no heartbeat) same size everything it does not seem to want to go away :no: poor bubs so back to the Dr to see what to do about this there is no way Im letting them go in and get it so not sure what happens now :confused: any ideas or experience that may help me out here ladies????

Ill do some personals later I am starving and the lamb in the slow cooker is calling me :wave:

Mrs P it was amazing yours will look the same I cant imagine 1 day will make alot of difference! You can see arms and legs and the head really clearly, they took close up shots of the legs and arms for us he is measuring about 4cm I think which is also spot on for 10 weeks ask them to hold the ultrasound still on your tummy and you can see full on movement he was wriggling around throwing his arms back anf forth it was amazing to see I think with everything that happened I was expecting the worst but I am truely on :cloud9: it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever shared with hubby!

Slp in the last 3 weeks I have had 5 internal scans, little tic tac is safe the dildo cam won't hurt him hehe

NT scan is the nuchal translucency scan. This will explain it better than me lol

What is nuchal translucency?

A collection of fluid under the skin at the back of a baby's neck, called nuchal (NT), can be measured at 11 to 13 weeks 6 days of pregnancy using ultrasound. All babies have some of this fluid, but in most babies with Down syndrome the amount of this fluid is increased.

The combined first trimester test is the best method of assessing whether your baby is likely to have Down syndrome. It's a screening test that involves an ultrasound scan (the nuchal translucency scan) done in conjunction with a blood test, which is why it is called the 'combined' test. It is not recommended that a NT scan be used alone to assess risk of Down syndrome in the first trimester, except if you are pregnant with more than one baby

The combined NT scan and blood test will not tell for certain whether your baby has a chromosomal abnormality. However, it can help you decide whether or not to have a diagnostic test.

well a not so bad day at work.
finished now..Ive got 2 days off before I work the weekend.....sigh.
USS is tomorrow morning and my mind is in a very dark and twisted place. I keep feeling that everything will be bad on the scan tomorrow and having negative thoughts. my silly brain keeps saying...there will be no heartbeat, the gestional sac was small last time and I really don't deserve happiness .....and then my sensible logical brain keeps yelling at me to stop being so paranoid and it will be ok... sigh.... my silly brain seems to be in charge at the moment.... Usually I am Ms stoic and positive type of person but right now Im just paranoid patty.... the uss machine is just a little one just like the FS use so low resolution... I might go to the city and get a proper one at 9-10 weeks (only 1-2 weeks away)... as the report was pretty poor quality last time....and I need the security of a high resolution machine.... what I really need is to see the fetal medicine people and have reassurance...sigh...
I am just praying that tomorrow goes well... I hope I can sleep tonight....
it will either be 1 baby or 2 babies... Im hoping that it will be none...

anyway enough of all that from paranoid patty.... tomorrow will be what will be.... scan at 9am so not much time to wait I hope I can sleep.
Did anyone else have such neurotic thoughts....or is it just being a geriatric that we worry so much more due to our 40-50% miscarriage rate...??

Micca cranky.. I have found I have become very argumentative lol, I want to start a fight with everyone. Good luck with your scan tomorrow, its so natural to have those thoughts after the sh!thole journey we have been through. A high quality machine would be handy though. As for the miscarriage rates.. MY theory is that SO many miscarriages happen before women know its so early on. Having done IVF all my sh!t embryos already died off so I figured they are the ones that wouldn't have stuck therefore reducing my miscarriage rate.. sound good? lol

Micca - Funnily enough I was the exact same as you I had a terrible feeling right before my first USS and everything turned out perfectly so jut stay positive!

Someone was asking about feeling your uterus (fundus) recently... think it may have been angela?? They measured mine today im approx 10cms above my pubic bone hence why im showing cause all my gizzards & insides are starting to squish up further.LOL:laughing:

Slp-They didnt do my ultrasound internally,i havent had dildo cam since doing the IVF cycle & my heartbeat & headcount scan was done at 7wks.Your younger might not need the NT scan done? They still do a normal one for the younger ones i think,but each ob or gp has a different opinion.

Micca-Im sure all will be ok tomoz,hope you can sleep tonight.I was 66.4 kgs when we got our + pregnancy test & was down to 64.1 till last week & now am 64.4 today at the clinic but none of my clothes fit me... its weird the weights gone but my tummy is showing.I feel fatter n heavier but arent.

Well quiet night for me after such a full on day...no nausea still so thats excellent,very pleased with that let me tell you.:p

I weighed 64.1 yesterday, I guess you will get heavier than the rest of us carrying 2 though.

Well once again i don't feel pregnant, every morning before I get out of bed i feel my belly looking for any rise and i push on it looking for a hard spot but nothing.
Oh well scan tomorrow guess all will be revealed then.......

What is the latest number of weeks to notice a tummy? Like should you be showing by say 14 weeks???:cool:

Lissy-Another upchuck morning for you lol Yeh i wasnt all that worried about the scan but am starting to worry now after speaking to OB.He explained it all cause dh asked what causes the abnormalities & he said nothing causes it,its just the condition of the eggs that are are left in your wife thats it.Has nothing to do with him or his genes or my genes its just when you get older the eggs quality drops off drastically from 30yrs on.hmmm im sure we'll all be fine but it makes ya worry anyway.Especially since not seeing them for 6.5 wks too.

Micca-gl today cant wait to hear the results

Mcshad- I found what worked one day didnt the next so best of luck with that.Mines eased right off thankfully.

Petals- im hoping mine are ahead or on time now they might bring my caesar even further forward.:laughing:

Well im gonna be so interested in seeing where they scan for the bubbas next friday cause yesterday she was trying to listen for heartbeats down near my pubic bone but my scan at 7 weeks was half way between pubic & my belly button.So i reckon she was in the wrong area....mind you she was training to be a midwife & very young.They thought they caught a glimpse of a beat but i was too busy talking to the other midwife LOL :laughing:

Lissy, I would so love to take your m/s away from you. I so need some sort of pregnancy sign right now. I’m starting to catch the worry thing. Aside from big bloated belly, I don’t feel pregnant. I’m starting to stress a little. 6 week scan is coming up this Tuesday; FS not there on Wednesday so could not do scan on my Birthday which is a bit of a bugger as I had taken the day off so that I could have a melt down at home if needed. Now I will have to have a melt down at work if things are not good, but I should try and think positive and hopefully there will be no need for meltdowns. Have 1st appointment with Ob tomorrow, so am secretly hoping he will suggest we do a scan then even though I won’t quite be 6 weeks.

Hi girls. I feel really sad today:gloomy:. Today is the anniversary of when we lost our last baby due to being ectopic. I've tried distracting myself but I can't seem to keep the tears from falling down my face. Thank god, I work from home!

But Mrs P, you did make me laugh with the hotcakes and hash brown. Are they from McDonalds? I love McDonald's hot cakes. Although, I cant remember the last time I had them.

Sorry for the downer post. I thinks its just going to be one of those days. I hope the sun is shining brightly on everyone else. :sunshine:

AFM, Well I had my first ever chuck, I was hanging out the washing and thought ohh I feel a bit sick, then I came upstairs and then I started to be sick and :barf:I was like where did that come from, now i have a headache.
I feel so sorry for you all that have been sick, as I have never actually thrown up before.

I totally understand now....

hi everyone
well the scan is done and I feel a litttle relieved.

a healthy singleton pregnancy..twin B was a disappearing twin....
I'm very thankful that is is not identical twins due to maternal and baby health issues, so Im not upset.

So the bubba was a good blob measuring 8weeks, heartrate 154...so spot on for dates....

end due date... feb 24 2011 which is the same as IVF dates...

I feel a little reassured....
next step nuchal fold test and will have to sort out a obstitrician...oh my god...now it might actually be real....

at home relaxing...feeling a lot less anxious.....

Well i had a relaxing day... pies for lunch ,midday movie looked good & then the power went off for 2 hrs grrr so no net,tv nothing so bored & had a nap.Woke & ate half of apple turnover saved the other half for later but DH just snuck it out n ate it :( So for a payback hes making me a tea....waiting waiting waiting.....

:cloud9:We saw our beautiful bub yesterday and it was just amazing to see a lot more than just a little "lump" like last time. Bub seems to be growing well, all the dates exactly right and very low risk for down etc. YAY!! Just gorgeus.. I drank quite a lot of water before the scan because I had read it from somewhere but the dr told me to go and empty my bladder because he couldn't see enough, lol!

We also had a visit to the maternity ward to finish some paperwork for the hospital and have a look around the place. Everyone seemed so nice there. I also booked us for our prenatal classes in December and I am also going to do one early one at start of August. This is a class with a physiotherapist because I've got pretty bad sciatica at the moment.

Micca how lovely to see your special baby. My OB gave me the 24th Feb as our due date but I and other Drs have worked out 15th and the 19th!! OB wants to book me in for Csection on 18th if our bubbas make it to term which I very much doubt they will!

Assennav so sorry honey it is so hard to lose a bub. Big :hugs::hugs: The baby we lost would have been 3yrs old in June. Such a hard month for us. Take time to be sad but remember that your special bub is looking over you and your bump. That is what we think anyway.xox

Hi to everyone else I have missed.

Well I am still having a bit of discharge :confused: Just wish it would go away!! 11 days until our next scan!! My house smells so good at the moment as my homemade lasagana is cooking I am so hungry can't wait until it is done!!

Bubba-it sucks cause ven though the OB said take panadol i still wanna stay away but sometime syou just have to cave hey... i thought if i took 2 this morning it'll be gone for sure for good but no its appearing again.Dont think i drank enough fluids yesterday,thats my prob.Go away mucky blood bubba dont need you... im booked in for caesar too but hoping i make it that far too,i did with my other twins & pregnancies,twins were 38 weeks spot on,waters broke & the 2 singletons one was induced at 37wks & the other elective ceasar at 37wks.So i actually went further with the twins then the others.

Pls I have taken 1 dose of panadol since finding out we were pregnant just can't seem to bring myself to take it.
I was a week over with DD and she was 9lb3oz! Hoping the twins will be a bit smaller lol!! I will be one big mamma if I get close to term!

I seem to have fallen off the roll-call! 4th of February for me...

I know what you all mean about the meds, I know that some are safe, but I still feel funny about it, so only take something if it's REALLY neccessary and I can't cope any longer.

Horrible day at work, but at least things have come to a head with the resident bully. I am taking on for the team as I won't be back after Mat leave, and she's afraid to go to far with the pregnant lady....

hope all of you are well. Good to see some great scans coming through!

I've had to read through lots of pages and now I can hardly remember everything :)!

Assennav, Its always hard thinking back about the little ones we have lost hey. I think we just need to go with however we feel and not try to fight it. Hope you have had some nice hugs today:hugs:.

Angela, I'm wondering the same thing about showing. I'm 58kg and 14.5 weeks and still not showing. Had a scan two days ago and there is still a little one there. Phew. Feeling a bit fatter but that is all the food I'm consuming :). I just want a belly!

Speaking of food.. MrsP, butter chicken sounds divine!!

So lovely to read about all of the good scans that have happened this week too!

Zofar it was yum but I barely ate any just feel too sick. As for the belly thing, my mum barely ever showed, she carried more toward her back I guess, I want a big fat giant belly!

MrsP- yummm, we went & got dh's hair cut so needed it & we got a zinger burger while there am so full...

Zofar-14.5wks WOW thats excellent being that far along.Im showing & are so uncomfortable,wish my bump would have hidden for awhile longer been showing since about 7-8wks now that im 12 its way out there.

Might have to get a photo of the bump,keep meaning too do it but forget.Friends on FB are all asking to see the bump too.I feel so unfit,must make myself go for a walk each day before i get too big & it gets too hot up here.Gonna make myself go tomorrow:yes:

MrsP, Since 12 wks it seems to be picking up speed and time is going faster which is good :). May be because I am so flat out at work, have had visitors and have too many other things on at the same time :).

I'm with you on the exercise. I have gone from riding to work, walking, going to the gym to doing nothing for for weeks. Have been for a few walks but seriously it is the last thing I feel like doing. I've committed to doing the 10km bridge to brisbane, not sure what I was thinking :)

Morning All!!

I am hearing you all about the exercise my DR told me just to do a small walk once a day but Im not starting anything till Im 12 weeks so I have gone from gyming everyday to nothing funnily enough though I lost weight when I had the twins now I think I am stable! :yelclap:

have a great weekend all we are heading away so no doubt there will be hundreds of pages to catch up on when i return LOL!!!!

Morning girls,

Mrs P - Don't worry i have put on weight too, not weighing my self for now though because i don't want to know. We are hungry Preggo chicks and we have to eat!! TFIF alright

Petals - I am the same, haven't done anything (besides starting Pilates again last night) since i found out i was Preg. I might look for a Preggi Bellies class or something like that.

Zofar - Its funny how time flies when you aren't as concerned about it. Good to keep busy.

Pls - Do a bump photo and post it if you can (or want) I will do my first one on Monday.

AFM - Feeling a bit better today. Last night i laid down in bed and then thought 'oh oh i need to..:barf: and starting catching it in me hands ewww, lucky none went on the bed as i got to the loo in the nick of time. I puked up every single morsel of food i had in belly, it was the the most awful upchuck yet and i couldn't breath at one stage as my nose got blocked.
I'm not sure what triggered it. I was queezy when i woke up this morn as usual but had some toast and no puking so yay for that.
Anyway i'm 12 weeks today!!! WOOO HOOOO!! Trying not to get tooooo excited just yet, need to get this scan done on Monday morning. I can't wait but i am so scared.

Sooz - I know what you mean...in the early days I was totally freaked out here and there and started to cry and was convinced that I wasn't pregnant anymore. Balling my eyes out to my friend...and she said it is probably normal to get these fluctuation's of worry..thinking it might be the hormones playing up. Usually the next day I was calm and fine again...then it would go another few days and I would be freaking out....better the next day and so on.....But it was doing my head in sometimes

Lissy-10/10 for the upchuck :laughing: Im panicking about the scan too but got a wk to wait for me.Im sure ours will be A Ok like everyone elses but its panic stations beforehand.Will try to do a bump photo if it doesnt work to well will get DH to do it when he gets home.

Sweede-I think i get a second wind....thats how i stay up.Wish i was a sleepy as you guys.

MrsP-dont panic about the weight i guarentee i'll take over very quickly & keep going & remember i have to lose all that after birth....

We got our real estate thats managing the tenant to give us a appraisal to sell it,they came back with a figure less then what we bought it for 2 1/2yrs ago... IDIOTS.SO DH rang another real estate & there got a much better ball park figure that were happy to play ball with & to sell it in a reasonable time frame too.Well washings on,dishwashers on,floors need wiping over but im not looking cause DH keeps letting sooky long haired furbaby(golden retreiver) in so i give up,her hair shows up on the dark wood floors :chillpill: & dont look :laughing: cause as soon as i do them he'll let her in & its everywhere again.

All that talk about
Oporto a few weeks ago has made me buy a bondi burger without chili, not bad.

I have my scan at 1pm today, little concerned as everyone is i guess, hoping scan will confirm that everything is ok.

Have to start drinking my 1.5 litre of water at 11am then hold till 12 then go to the appt at 1pm.

Wow hey, might not do the 1.5 might just do 1litre, think that should be fine.

Pls gee property prices have been crappy but not that bad one of my houses I bought in November 07 if I sell today I will only make 20-30k on it. We really need to start building so this baby can move straight in.

Anglea-i only have to drink 1 ltr & 45min before the scan.So you'd be fine otherwise you'll bust.GL im sure it will be ok just like all the others but yes think we all go thrugh the negative nancy thoughts of what if...

MrsP- yeh we wont be making alot but will be debt free again but have some money behind us which will be absolutely lovely.As now were scrapping it in wk by wk & have nothing in reserve for emergencies & that annoys me cause i dont like asking relo's if need be.

My nausea is shocking today:crying::hair::gloomy: had fr$cken 6 days without it...... bl$$dy all bran for breaky.Im blaming that.My stomach has got used to the heavy porridge for breaky i think.Well tomoz will have porridge for breaky & all bran for a snack through the day, i hate breakfast.... cereals are all gross rather eat pancakes & hash browns.:laughing:

Lissy - Yes I'm a Melbourne girl too. The bub will be born in Cabrini with the assistance of Dr. Max Michael and my scans I do at Women's Ultrasound Malvern. Cabrini is close to my partners dad's place so that it will be easy for him to pop in to see his first grandchild and it's not very far from us either.

Just had my scan done and the nucal was 1.4mm so that is really low risk, get results at docs with my blood tests at 3.30 om today.

Wow, it is the most amazing thing, moving around so much, saw evertthing arms, legs, heart, brain, kidneys,cord, placenta, back . you name it i saw it.
Tech said bubs looks fine.

Oh and they put me ahead to 12 weeks 3 days, so i guess i will have to change ticker.

Is it OK if I join your thread?

I have just received my BTP last Monday, so this is really early, early days for me! I have to have another BT on Monday (week 5), and then a scan at week 6..... so another TWW! It is still one hurdle after another.

How did everyone else feel at this point?At the moment, I feel optimistic and quietly confident about the embryo, but I'm really anxious about my diet, and eating the right things, and eating adequately. I've always been conscious of my weight and shape, and this is really going to challenge me. I don't have any symptoms what-so-ever, except for being more tired than usual....but that could be due to work. Did others feels anything at this early stage?

Also, what are your thoughts about announcing the news. Only a very select few people know that we have a BTP, and I'm hoping that we can keep it to ourselves until 3-4 months. Any thoughts?

Looking forward to chatting over the next few months!

Shirleysmum-Welcome aboard...:yelclap: I had 2 blasties transferred & was so sick form 4 days after transfer so we knew it worked & then had scan at 7weeks & we have twins on board (again) my 2nd set of twins others being natural though.I have had horrible time with M/S never had it with any of my others,all i can say is dont pray for m/s cause you can have mine.I was finished with it 6 days ago but today its ocme back with avengance......:hissy: My dh said were not telling anyone till were 12weeks but after the scan at 7wks & saw two healthy heart beats, theres no one left he could tell at 12 weeks LOL anyway enough rambling from me... congrats:smiliedance:

Congratualtions to Lissy too for 12 weeks!!! YAY!!!! and for the awesome night time puke! Just a hint for you - I get those too just when I'm drifting off to sleep so I have a bucket next to my bed. Keeps me from tripping over the dog in my rush to the loo :)

MrsP - Don't stress about the junk food. A Dr friend told me that if you ate only chewing gum your whole pregnancy baby would still be perfectly healthly. You wouldn't be, but it would be. I think as long as you're eating and keeping it down its all good at this stage.

Big thanks to everyone for all of your hugs and support yesterday. I had my cry, pigged out on burgers and chips, got a dose of Vitamin D (the sun, I love it!!) and feel really good today. Whilst I was sad yesterday, it also felt good to remember and cry for the one we lost who I would've loved very much. This little Gecko I'm carrying better watch out its going to get a double dose of love now!

I got a call from my OB's office today and they've moved my appointment to Monday - a week and half early! Yipeee! DH is especially excited - he says its been too long since we last saw Gecko (two weeks) and he misses it.

Hi plsjust1more - I noticed that there are alot of twins here, yourself included! We put 2 blastocytes back in. My initial level seemed high (610), but I've read of much higher levels, so I don't think it is twin. Time will tell....Eeeek!

Yes, we were both 12/7 BT'ers! I'm at City Fertility on the Gold Coast. Your levels seem really high..... my nurse told me the median level at week 4 was 350. So you might be up for twins???? Compared to your levels, I am pretty confident it is just the one, which will be just perfect. I hope the 27th comes around quickly!

shirleysmum-how many days past epu were you for the bt i was 16dpo & was 510. Slps isnt that high when you look at mine & consider it doubles every 2 days so its about right for 20dpo.Mine would have been rnd that too at 20dpo but i got BT early couldnt wait any longer but knew i was def pregnant.

Wow seems everyone is reaching their milestones!! We are 9 weeks today!! I am still having discharge which is so frustrating as I would so love to be enjoying our pregnancy instead of stressing about it. Only 10 sleeps until our next scan!!

Plsjust1more, you're making me nervous! We had a FET on the 30/6, which were 5-day blastocytes. So I guess that means I would have ovulated on the 25th. So by BT would have been 17dpo...... I have another BT on Monday, so I just hope it is rising at the right rate. :fingerscrossed:

I have spent the afternoon at a work function, oh lordy me, I'm a bit over hanging out with people who have had five cocktails! Its just not the same when its not me!:) (not that I feel like it at all). You should see my tum today, I think the little one has really grown this week cause I am exhausted and my tum is really protruding today. mmm... wonder if that is from dinner...

Anyway.. off to bed. I'm doing performance reviews all weekend... waaaa!! Last thing I feel like doing :)

I had a total horrendous day yesterday. One of my friends got bashed in a home invasion the other day in front of her kids.....I am so shocked and angry. I could hardly recognize her yesterday. This will totally **** up her life, she doesn't want to live in her house. She thought she was going to die. How can people do these things? ...and if front of her child? Grrrrr....makes you want to kill somebody yourself.....
Sorry for the rant but I am so upset and I could hardly sleep last night...just worrying about her and her kids.....Will this scar her daughter for life???????:banghead::banghead::banghead:

i am off to get some clothes for her when the shops open up. (she not allowed back in her home) Any ideas for other things?

For those who have had their NT already, how many weeks did you do your blood test( I know I've asked this) I had one sonographer from another forum say 10 weeks for bloods but the scanning place said 3 days before my NT scan and my gp said 3 days before too.

MrsP- is dh coping ok?? Sorry for his loss. My scan place @ the private hospital & gp & the ante natal clinic @ public hospital, all said 3 days before. Everyone says something different. My OB said the BT test doesnt work for twins anyway because it gives you a amount of the PpA or something like that but doesnt tell ya which baby it is so he rang some pecialist while there & he said no the levels for me will be raised then a singlton pregnancy so hes got to half it.Still doesnt give you which baby but helps them put me in a low or high risk catergory.

Swed, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. That is really horrific!! I'm in shock they put her details in the paper. As if she isn't going through enough. She will need good friends like you around to help her through it.

MrsP, It is great for bubs.. is like going to a fun park for them :). I read its only after the transfer you need to keep things calm as it can propel them out at that stage, but now it will make their day. Thank god they don't know what is going on though!

I am finding it all so much more enjoyable now I'm off progesterone.:)

mrsP- well sounds like its all over but no sex doesnt hurt bubs,but take it easy if it does i read.As your body is changing & things softening up to accommodate bub.Weve been having sex & orgasms for weeks...:D We have a great sex life & i dont want it to be ruined just cause im pregnant but im thinking its gonna get alot harder towards the end with the size of my bump well heffa lump by then :laughing: even funnier must have been a couch thing today...we made use of being home alone

Zofar-i loved the progesterone cause it made me sleepy so id sleep for hours through the day was great :laughing: now i want to sleep but cant brain wont shut down even though its telling me ohhh im sleepy.

Angela-im so hoping my scan next friday brings my EDD foward too & they make my caesar booking earlier.. no way will i make it past 38wks going on the old dates if there ahead of time.

Well had a relaxing day,dh now taken dog to the park i couldnt be stuffed.Nausea is mild not like yesterday although brought me to tears earlier at lunchtime just cause im over it :crying: dh said stay positive you just got 6 days without it so surely its coming to a end real soon:fingerscrossed:

Slp it was after 6 weeks for me. I have never spewed, its just this 'off' feeling I get in my gut on and off kinda hangoverish sort of feeling.

You might be lucky and not get it at all, I worried though, I wanted to be sick to make sure everything was okay haha. When is your scan?

about two weeks ago after the MS stopped, I "gave in" & then I found I was enjoying myself so I "joined in".:p

After the way those hormones played up with my sex drive, it was good to see it come back... even if it just needed a little nudge.

as for sex after transfer.. we were told that in some animals, an embry won't implant unless there is semen present, so "go for it". DH took that to mean "doctors orders". he he. It seems to have worked here!

Plsjust1more - Hope your dog is Ok....maybe she is picking up on some pregnancy hormone....I think cats do this?? I've just got home from taking our dog to the beach....its a bit of a love-hate thing for both of us.....we both love going to the beach, I always feel like such a good pet-owner and she could fetch a stick all day, but then it is such pain having to bath her, and dry her and brush her, and then vacuum. She's high maintenance!

Good luck to everyone having scans in the next couple of days. Looking forward to hearing some positive news.

Slp - I'm not experiencing any kind of ms at all either....it sounds like it might be a little early. But I can understand why you are worried, I am too. I've read that m/s is a protective factor, as it means the hormones are rising really quickly, which increases the odds of a successful pregnancy. I can't beleive that I actually want m/s!

hi everyone.
well so much for slowing down now that Im knocked up...lol...lol... Ive basically not stopped for 2 weeks..... even my days off have involved going into work for 3hr or more.... then working the weekend has been a trial...yesterday was an epic nonstop 12hrs finishing at 9pm and today another 4hrs non stop with a probable return to work this evening.... Im too busy to even think about morning sickness....lol...Although I was really cranky at work today...lol..lol
Although now Im home Im exhausted...
Got to ring the fetal medicine people tomorrow to dw scans and? amnio,cvs... looking forward to it but nervous about it all..... not sure if the second non viable twin may interfere with the NT blood test...as it is at 6w4d size ...I guess I will know all about it in the next few weeks....

Sips..... I never really had a lot more like a queasy tummy with just a few episodes of real severe nausea... its actually really good at the moment..Im 8+weeks, and the tiredness has yet to hit...although I am so busy it might be there I just have not noticed...

Is anyone constipated?
Wow its such a horrible feeling.

I am now trying licorice and lemon and honey.
Something better work!!!

Bought some baby jumpsuits yesterday, but wasn't sure what size so I got 3 x 000 and 1 x 0000.

Summer suits they were so cute only $4.95 each.

As soon as my tax cheque comes through we will be looking at furniture i guess.
Is everyone buying things now or waiting for the 18 week scan. I think I always thought after the 12 week scan that i would be buying things but not sure now.
What are your thoughts.:valentine:

micca & mrsp - I can totally relate to not buying anything yet.... DH and I went to the newsangency just after we found out we were UTD and I bought a copy of Cosmo Pregnancy - and then on the drive home I thought "what am I doing??..." As soon as I got home I hid it in my draw and promised myself I would read it after my NT scan at 12 weeks.... Crazy :yes::laughing:

Good Afternoon Ladies,

Now i apologise in advance for what i am about to ask as it might be TMI but for part of my ICSI cycle i had to use the Crinone Gel, i havent used it for almost 3 weeks now and today i went to the toilet and a big clump of it came out (gross i know).
Has anyone else experienced this? I am trying to work out if it is normal or not.

Yes, it happened to me too.. yes it's gross. I bought a douche to clean it out as what's still in there in the morning is inactive anyway.

I was only given it until the pregnancy was confirmed.

Micca- your hrs of work are wearing me out reading it,i take my hat off to you cause i just couldnt cope at the moment.Too sick,nausea back again:hissy: just so truley over it.

Slp-totally normal, i went in & dug the rest out about week after my bfp.I was told to clear it out reguarly but didnt this time rnd & only did after we got the bfp.It was gross.

Angela-I went last sun night with the runs then not at all till thursday hence why i ate all bran,but im not regualr anyway at the best of times but lately when i do go there little poo's (sorry if TMI anyone) but like dh pointed out i probably dont have as much waste now with the twins taking what they want from food as well.Good point.Nice score on the jumpsuits,im not buying any 0000 suits, my babies have always been big & never fitted them even the twins,my smallest 2 were 6pd9oz & 7pd6oz & didnt fit 0000's if i need some will get some when there born.

We have our pram & bouncers & hopefully cots once my gf gets back from hols & i can organise mum to pick them up for us.Havent bought or even looked at clothes yet.. will start putting bath stuff,creams & nappies on the shopping list though.Im hoping to find out the sex at the NT scan so that will kinda help us choose colours otherwise will look at buying more neutral stuff till my 19wk scan.

Micca slow down!! rest lol reading that makes me exhausted :p I will put the bag away in the linen closet for now. It was so awesome, its an oroton one and is $400... which is what I thought I was going to pay then got to the counter and turns out they have a sale on lol woooo me

Angela - I get constipated every now and then, I've gone 3 days with nothing a few days ago but most of the time I am okay. When I need to go though the cramps hit hard and I have to run to the loo. Good job on the suits, what a great price. Well I think if we were living where our baby was going to be I would probably start looking/buying between 12-18 weeks. I don't know what the hell we are going to do this building business makes me feel physically ill.

I am so exhausted, been shopping since this morning with mum I'm ready for bed. :sleeping:

angela....yep constipation is my best friend...especially with my progesterone level at 500... which is sooooooo not helping... I go every 3-4 days and I should be taking some metamucil every night...but Im such a slacko and tired I forget....note to self have some tonight...actually when I was eating lots of chilli last week..that sure helped...lol

MrsP...wow what an awsome sounding nappy bag.... my girlfriends one she gave me was lovely...its got hooks that can fit on a pram... Yeah keep it in the cupboard...
Im trying to slow down but I have so much to do.... Im stuggling with my ikea TV unit at the moment... Im about halfway through and the drill battery went flat...grrr...so Its an enforced stop and cuppa time waiting for the drill recharge.... I have no storage and my lounge is just piles on stuff everywhere... so baby unfriendly..and guest unfriendly...lol... Ive had the ikea stuff since May....lol..

michelle.... I think plsjust description of me trying to buy stuff only when I get wheeled into the labour ward is probably pretty accurate... I go and finger all the things in the shops and wish... but I will prob make a lot of quilts and blankets, and knit jumpers....of course I have to know the sex first..lol..lol...

slp...so glad I did not have to use the progesterone suppositories...I dont envy you there....

Micca I hate putting cabinets etc together. I bought two, put them together and they both had problems lol. Had to go back and get a whole new cabinet and re do the blasted thing and get new draws for the other. Hooks for the pram sounds great! A friend told me nappy bags usually hang so low over prams yours sounds like it will sit at a handy level.

I can't believe the weekend is over! Groceries this week was so much cheaper! We normally go woolies but on the way home stopped at bilo, groceries was 160 and I expected 200 with how much meat I bought. Today is the day for savings lol

Spagetti for dinner!

Quick one, spagetti carbonara, I found some receipes on the internet but the sauce has eggs/cream that goes back into the hot pasta and doesn't really cook. Would it be okay if I let the sauce get hot/cook for longer or would the egg still be rawish do you think?

I know a few of you from the ivf threads, and there are a few new faces to me as well.
Just got my BFP on Friday, OMG, I still cannot believe this is happening. Its like Im in a dream. Its been such a long bumpy ride to get to this point that I dont think it will properly start to sink in until I get a belly.

On Friday I was 17dpo and hcg was 698. I though it was all over red rover last Monday when I started spotting. I had called the clinic, booked in with FS, and planned the next FET. I continued spotting all week, then Friday I got the news. I was floored. I thought 'how could this be'...

Im still spotting, which Im very nervous about. FN said its quite common in early preg. Im still on asprin, so Im wondering if that is causing the spotting. Im cramping a fair bit too.

Did any of you guys have spotting for so long?

I go for follow up BT on Friday, which feels like ages away especially since Im spotting. I think if the levels have risen as they should, I will stop worrying so much.

This is just so surreal being UTD. I feel truly blessed :yes:

We had a good today. We met up with some friends who we kind of lost contact with due to some fights they had with our other close friends (they ni longer speak) but we decided to catch up with them and we had a great brunch, they have a 7 month old girl and was such a cute bubba. We then went to my SIL and ate MORE food. All i have done is eat all day so now ready for a big snooze. I can't believe tomorrow morning we will see little buddha. I can't wait to make our big announcements, no more hiding my belly

We bought a sticky date pudding for dessert & some custard & dh said im allowed a little bit of sticky date but not custard.... cause its his children im cooking & i have to look after them...... geez louise guilt trip. Sweet but still guilt trip :yes:

Pls the building thing..... we are designing our own home because its acreage. We have changed our plans like 3 times now and are just not happy. We REALLY need to get started but when your spending hundreds of thousands of dollars you sure as hell want to get it right. It makes me feel :barf: thinking about it :laughing:

SCAN TODAY FOR ME TO WOOOOOO. Hubby is at home today his flight for nz leaves tomorrow, so I will pick him up on the way to the scan and get my mum too! So nervous.. I keep thinking what if its all over then keep thinking ' nooo noo everything is fiiine stop stressing'

Also... I finally shaved my legs after like 2 months.. One stroke and the shaver was a teddy bear hehe

Does anyone else have any ideas on what I should be asking at this first appointment?

Well felt so sick last night,mixture of heartburn,cold symptoms & nausea....real fun NOT :no:!!! Today feel good again as i do each morning then i go downhill but i have everything crossed i dont today.Plus theres gonna be lots of good news on its way from you guys... Ive got to clean my bathroom today..ewk could think of other things to do but shower needs cleaning,doesnt take much its just the effort & thought of doing it.

I do but its just a normal scan. I'm not having the NT scan done (just a personal choice) but still its a chance to see the growing little Gecko.

Do you have your own staff of nurses/midwives?
Who is your stand in if I was to give birth and you don't make it?
How many other patients have the same EDD as me?
How long do I stay on Clexane and Cartia?
What foods should I avoid during pregnancy?
Any chemicals I should avoid handling or being around?
When is the 4D Ultrasound?

morning all,

Sorry I have been MIA for a couple of day but didnt work friday had a flex, and weekend was busy but also full of MS.

Had OB appt this morning and I am now so much happier about my choice, nothing is to much trouble for my OB, he gave me his mobile number and told us to call wheneva we needed to. :yelclap: I will be having a scan at every visit, and my visits will be fortnightly, he wants to keep a close eye on us because of our problem with the twins. Bubs had a strong heartbeat of 170bpm and is looking more like a baby every time i see him. He has grown from 1.35cm to 2.01 in a week:eek:, its like a grown man growing from 2meters to 3 meters. NT scan is booked for the 12 August. He also said he will not let me go over my due date, and were heading for a natural birth. So much has changed in 13 years since my last baby was born. :yes:

Lissy - great news on your NT scan.

Mrs P - wow, what a lot of money to spend on a bag, you could almost get a cot for that price. But you should spoil yourself now cas when the baby comes you will forget about yourself and buy only for bubs. lol

Man what a relief. I can't wait for all of us to get to this milestone because it is totally
amazing. I was sooo nervous as you all know and when i lied down the Sonographer said 'are you ok' and i said 'no' and started to cry:laughing:. She kep telling me to relax my tummy because i was so tense but little Buddha
came up on the screen straight away. She showed us through all of the bits and peices and said all looked normal for this stage. She found it hard to measure the Neck at first because she couldn't get bubbs to move into a good profile position but eventually she managed to get the measurements and said it looked normal. He/she measured 7cm so she thinks i am more like 13 weeks now. I will see what the OB says on Thurs before i change my ticker. OMG i am sooo excited and i have a hugggge headache.

My nanna rang this morning and she want to buy our carseat so cute she was like I will send you $500 for it! Thought the 1st thing I better do is call around for some obs as I have heard of other people having a hard time getting in anywhere. But I managed to get in to the 1st one I called. They said they only do scans every 8 weeks, the first one being at 12 weeks. Little disappointed as I would have loved scans every visit. Is this the same with everyone else?

Starting to feel more and more hungry, and today Ive got a yukky taste in my mouth. I guess a lot of the symptoms will start to happen now, yayyy :D crazy how we wish symptoms upon ourselves!

Petals- Yahhh for 11 wks woo hoo

Bonny- yes my first scan was at 7wks to do the heartbeat & headcount so was a looong time ago.This NT scan friday i will be 13wks2days so lets see what the scan comes up with as last time the bubs were 3 & 4 days behind my dates.Im going public at the local hospital & they only do scans when neccassary like NT one next week then booked me in for one at 19wks in Sept then no more unless there worried about them or positioning but my caesar is already booked so there not worried how they lay this time.

MrsP-is it really cold down the GC? Were booked & flying down friday till very early sunday morning.Trying to work out what i need to pack apart from plenty of snacks:laughing: We managed to get some friends to help so i dont have to do any lifting.So excited dh & i are going somewhere even if its to our empty house to empty out stored stuff :laughing: our luggage will consist of airbed, quilt, pillows, clothes:laughing:

Bonny - I think it depends on the OB you see. My OB was more than happy to do a scan at 7 weeks but i had no more until 12 weeks like Pls because there was no for me to go in and see him. You will morew than likely have your first appointment and then they won't request to see you again until after the 12 week scan because there isn't much for them to do prior to that. Yep i've pretty much told everyone already, made the FB announcement this morning :)

Petals - YAY for 11 weeks, not long now until NT!! Well you'd be surprised by the cost of some things. The Car seat i have been looking at is something like $450 eek.

Bonny - :yelclap:BFP for you. I think its fortnightly visits cas im high risk, from the twins in January, and because of my age. DH is happy its fortnightly and even happier with the OB.

Pls - hope your trip to the GC is a good one, and your friends helping is a god send. Dont know if i could sleep on an air matress especially with a belly bump like yours:p. In your profile pic you really have a bump.

Nat - great list of questions. I may even take a few with me to the next appt.

Lissy - im sure your going to have some really nice comments and congrats from FB, you may even shock a few people.lol

Hi Girls,

I am still lurking in the background. I think BH is bad for my brain right now as I keep reading about all the symptoms you guys are having and I still have NONE. It is driving me crazy. Only 3 more sleeps and we get to see our little bean again and hopefully I can relax a little.

So congrats to all the newcomers. This thread has exploded which is just wonderful. All those BFP's :yelclap:

Lissy, Congrats on today. A huge milestone reached and I'm sure your very relieved.

I've been a bit quiet of late as not much to report and going quietly insane just waiting, but it’s very encouraging to hear of all the “good news scans”. I feel like such a babe in comparison to you all. I’m finally going for my 6 week scan tomorrow morning and I’m not sure if I am finally starting to get MS or it’s just the nerves causing my stomach to churn at the moment. So can’t wait to get 1st scan down and dusted……oh to be at week 12 scan. Must remind myself of my mum's wise words:

“Patience is a virtue
Possess it if you can
Seldom in a women
But never in a man”

LOL… I’m not so sure about that at the moment, as I have the patience of a 2year old. :laughing:

Omg. Magical. I believe it now. I'm pregnant. I'm measuring 10w4d it looked like a baby. Laying on it's back dancing around for us it wouldn't stop moving!! I blame the sugar lol. He said to stop the progesterone now which I'm scared of!!

mrsP- yahh another great scan.umm what will you do..... i know just wait lol & eat :laughing: 3 weeks is nothing.you'll be fine off the preogesterone,cut it in half then down to nothing if really worried so its not a big drop.

Sooz07-Good luck for scan tomoz i'm sure you'll be fine too & be so thrilled & can believe your pregnant !!

Forever-3 sleeps yahh so many scans this week its great.Dont panic my other 3 pregnancies had nothing, zilch, in the way of M/S either only this one is giving me enough nausea to do the whole lot of us.Never felt so sick... believe me you dont want it.I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy.

I cant stop eating its the only time i dont feel sick unless i let it get too bad & then i nearly chuck putting food in my mouth.Gaviscon is wonderful stuff.... my new best friend.:laughing:

We stopped into Brodies and I got some chips and gravy.. YUM!!! I feel like sh!t now though.

I have a question. According to my transfer etc I am 10w1d.. I measured 10w4d today and when I had my 8 week scan I was 8w1d but measured 8w3d.. what should I go off, IVF or measurement date?

Mrs P I stopped the crinone gel as soon as we got our BFP. We didn't wean, so we had a sudden drop which caused some bleeding, so I reccomend doing it gradually.

I asked my RE about my dates for much thesame reason as you. She said the IVF dates are accurate, the measurements are not (time of day, slightly off angle etc), go off your IVF dates.

great news on your scans girls.... 10 days to my NT scan!

MrsP- i only had enough to do 14 days after transfer, so had stopped before we even got a + BT. My Ob goes off the scan dates thats why im hoping this time says im forward more in days cause i was behind 4 & 3 days to dates so hes working out im due the 31st Jan not 26th by ivf dates so hes taking them at 38wks (which is full term for twins anyway) so hoping there more progressed then our 7 wk scan & caesars me 6th jan.:laughing: They only do planned caesars at my hospital on a thursday each week.

sooz...good luck for that magical first uss to see the blob ...I hope it goes well... the hb is really tiny so look really hard...

forever...I would not stress on the m/s in my books I got almost none... 2 attacks of nausea and then just a queasy tummy at 6-7 weeks but now at 8 weeks I have nothing...!! and I had twins to start with...(one stopped growing at 6w4d).

Mrs P...chips and gravy...oooh you are so making my mouth water.....what a great scan... I cant wait for my 10 week one... which will be in 10 days...

gosh all these scans its only been 4 days since my last one and I already want another one...lol..
I got my appointment for the fetal unit.. next wed 28th so a little work shuffle and its a done deal. Ill be talking to the specialist about choices of NT, CVS, amnio.... Ill be 9w6d then so close to having to make a few decisions....

Even though the second twin did not have a heartbeat at 6w4d the thing that worries me is that it still grew quite a bit from the last scan...sometimes I worry that it may be one of those funky things that you hear about with the hb miracaoulsy appearing at the 10 or 12 week scan..lol.. I guess the next scan will really tell what is going on... I so am not keen on identical twins...due to health risks.

anyway the end of a busy day..cuppa tea time... and maybe some chocolate...lol...lol...
another day at the coalface tomorrow......lol...

Ont he progesterone thing I am just worried because it was a medicated FET. FS said placenta has taken over so whatever progesterone I am putting in is a waste of time. Still stressful

I stopped the progesterone at 8 weeks and everything has been fine, I was so nervous too.

Lissy loo, Congrats on your scan, its great to see little bubba hey.

So you were put forward too, its like, hey i missed my 12th week, lol.

I will be 13 weeks tomorrow, and its going great.

First day at new job and I have to be in the warehouse for today and tomorrow.
Legs are a bit sore as I didn't get to sit down for the entire day.
Looking forward to wednesday.

MrsP- so scraed what to pack cause when i went down sydney for epu/transfer i froze didnt pack warm enough clothes so had to raid mums drawers & wear her 3 sizes too big trackies while sitting at home LOL my gf has offered to cook us dinner friday night but were not arriving till like 2 then will be 3pm before were on the coast so dont know whether to take them up on that offer.Probably will, its one less meal we have to worry about while being down there.

Well BT for me today,dh wants to hold my hand otherwise i would have gone already..gotta wash the mop on my head before i go anywhere its a oily mess.3 more sleeps till scan....:smiliedance: so exciting.

Pls today I'm in jeans closed in shoes tshirt and a light knit jumper. It's early mornings and night it's chilli. Don't pack for heat lol. 3 more sleeps how exciting. I've got 20 more sleeps lol!

I can't wait till nt scan then I can tell people and not try hide my belly. I have a freaking belly.

Hey girls im hearing you re the gas and MS, I wasnt good y/day with the MS and DH did a big f#rt in bed and i had to grab my just in case plastic bag and have a chuck. I could have strangled him i was awake for an hour after that.

Pls - pack jumpers, last thing you want is to be cold.

Mcshad- arnt dh's lovely,mine does the same then fluffs the quilt to expose it & im nearly heaving. Our house will be warm cause we out in a monster air con for the tenant when they moved in so that will be running & keeping house warm.least we can say we used it even though we havent paid for it yet LOL its on interest free purchase.

Mrsp-dh bought me red rock chippies & a mars bar but only eating half of that,so i dont feel yuk afterwards.

Had my BT they will have the results at qld xray ready for friday.I mentioned my HUGE bill i got for the HCG level BT test she reckons ring them & query it again cause that should be covered by medicare.So gonna ring them again.

Pls - i always ask my specialist/Dr to put down bulk bill since finding out they charge for specialist. Its a pain in the backside considering it cost so much for the cycle

Just back from 6 week scan and apparently I'm 6weeks 3 days to be exact. I am proudly staring at our first baby photo. Admitidly it is a bit blurry and just a blob, but I am over the moon regardless. :cloud9:

Little one has chosen to snuggle in in the right place - PHEW!, and has a heartbeat of 140bpm which I believe is a good strong heartbeat. What an amazing sight. It was the first time I've seen the realisation of this little miracle on DHs face. He was almost in tears. It was just amazing. It was so funny, as DH was so emotional he hugged the FS as we said our goodbyes - I think she was a bit taken aback, but it was very cute. :p

So I can breathe a sigh. All seems to be as it should so far and yes there truly is a little human bean settling in - hopefully for the long haul.

I am just glowing. :goodvibes:

mcshad - i was marked as bulk bill but osme things they charge for & they said the person clicked charge instead of bulk bill so then bill was printed & posted out before they could stop it in its tracks.Wonder if they were gonna refund it afterwards... probably not just accept my money:yes:

Assenav-how did your scan & first OB appointment go yesterday???

Contemplating having lunch... leftovers today red thai curry-chicken unless everyone ate the chicken bits & left me just vegies which wont hurt me anyway.
