MrsP..........yay yay for the excellent dancing baby.... you can relax now

Lissy... I will be going straight to cot as that is all I have room for... it will be in my bedroom..which is already very cramped....lol... I have another room but it is 2 stories above mine...so too far away.....

bonny ............so glad the bleeding has settled

well I am on my return to health kick... I had yummy stirfry veg with rice noodles and it was very very yummy... of course to finish the meal I am having a cuppa with the new lindt white almond chocolate which I have to say is absolutely devine and I have eaten 2 layers already...lol..

I got copies of my NTS blood results today to give to the fetal medicine people,.,... I think my risk will be still high as my PAPP-A was lowish(0.49 MoM) and BHCG high (1.64 MoM).... So Im guessing trisomy 21 risk will be about 1:300... we will see lol..lol... the internet is a horrible evil thing. But I learnt alot about papp-a and have a lot of questions to ask now...
and my mind is ready to do either CVS or amnio...6 sleeps to go....

ooooh all the chocolate is gone...mmmm wonder if I should have some more...
lol...lol....lol

Morning Ladies :)

Mrs P - Yay for the great scan dont you just feel fantastic!

I think someone mentioned the Babies r us sales YAY more spending! But I thought I would let you all know a tip I received about the Bubs monitor! A friend of mine has 2 bubs and her first one had a crap monitor and for her second told he tech head hubby to find the best and they have the Oricom Secure 100 and it has zero interference I have heard it its amazing and very sensative her little girl was asleep upstairs and we were talking in the kitchen and the monitor was silent and then we heard her sneeze! So cute but excellent also babies r us has the next model up the SC200+2 for $109.99 $40 off at the moment!

Mrs P

Petals everyone is having sales, how convenient!

Micca I think I am going to join you on that health kick! stop googling!

My throat is so freaking sore :( DH has tonsilitis, dr said its not really contagious and he looked at my throat and said its fine, today it is so sore :( We have had a couple of nights of really cold air which can give me a sore throat so I am hoping thats it

Lissy Loo
05-08-2010, 08:50
Morning,

Mrs P - Hope that sore throat doesn't turn too nasty

Petals - I had a look online at they have some good deals. I like the look og the Angelcare
monitor that has sensor pads.It is $50 off at the moment

Micca - I don't know what any of that means:laughing:

Misslink - :laughing:at Sexing scan

Bubba - Hope you enjoyed the Goulash mmm
I cannot shake this damn headache. I went to the Osteo last night and got some relief for my Neck and jaw but have still woken up with a thumping head so i think this is a Pregnancy related one, yay me:no:

Hi Everyone,

I am off work today sick, i think its just a head cold, headaches, runny or should i say dripping nose and blocked nose and ear and scrathy throat.

:(

Is there anything we can take that will make us better, i normally would take cold and flu but i know we cannot take those.

How is everyone else feeling, i have my first booking in appt on monday looking forward to that, as i have a few questions to ask.

Lissy Loo
05-08-2010, 09:07
Angela - oh you poor thing, rug up and rest at home. Panadol is safe to take but if you are not sure then call your OB's office or GP and see what they can suggest. Hope you feel better soon

Morning all:wave:

Lissy-Ohh bummer youve still got that headache.Panodol lovely.

Anglea-dont worry im with ys on the head cold although im feeling bit better today.

MrsP- hope you not getting sick too

Petals- will have to have a look online at their sale, although we got no spare $$ at moment. Its sucks when everythings on sale too.

Micca- dont panic too much about those BT results as there yet to weigh in your height, weight, age & the results of the scan measurements.Hoping you get a nice surprise & you wont need the Cv or amnio at all.As for the weight thing, stop panicking your pregnant ,your gonna get BIG !!!

iris-yahh for booking Ob,let us know how you get on.

Misslink-I cant wait to find out our sex its starting to bug me now...i wanna know.Come on wks roll by... 4wk4days

AFM- im feeling a bit better in the head,no more pains like yesterday in between my eyes/nose but got the coughs full on.Even managed to do the washing & clean the bathroom/toilet but am now camped up on the lounge again.Cant believe all i ate yesterday was 1 peice of pizza for breaky,2 vegemite toasts at about 3pm,then two cheese/tommy toasties at 7pm.Normally i have to shove food in 2 hrly.I was feeling shocking.....thank goodness its passed somewhat.

You girls sure can chat!! I will never again make the mistake of missing out on a couple days of BH!

Mrs P, YAY for another great scan! How cute that bubba was doing gymnastics in there! That made me laugh!

Glad to hear you're all mostly well! Pls, angela, micca and Lissy, hope you start feeling better soon you poor things! Lissy, I've been battling a chronic headache for the past 3 days, hence why I haven't been online. I have barely been able to get out of bed!!!

AFM - I am 12 weeks today...never thought I could make it this far! Really looking forward to NT scan tomorrow, they said they will give us a DVD of the scan and also show us the baby in 4D for 5 mins at the end! Woohoo! Hope all the results come back okay...

hi everyone
wow everyone seems to have caught my cold via the cyber highway....lol...lol...
angela, lissy Mrs P ...I hope you get better quicker rather than slower.....
so the safe drugs are panadol, panadiene, panadiene forte (all class A)
vicks vaporub, nasal sniffer (not any containing cold n flu meds.
bisolvin for cough, durotuss codiene medicine.
no products containing cold or flu components ie pseudoephidrine

yep it sucks...although butter menthols and fishermans friends were pretty good and the icecream was sure great for the cough.

plsjust....glad you are feeling a little better...sleep is the best medicine. wel will wait on the results but those values do include weight and height and age...grrrr

petals...thats great about the monitor...
I have the car seat as my number one thing...will have to do some research into them as to what brands are the best as I have no idea

well I suppose I should go and have breakie.... as I have not eaten yet...I got distracted...lol..lol... mmm wonder what I can have...
planning for a walk today in the bush and will the take the camera to get some icicle shots...very pretty in winter....

checked my BP this morning and it was perfect so far ...thank god.... my mother, aunt and grandmother all had pregnancy induced hypertension with problems... and add my age on top of everything... so it is something I am keeping a very close eye on.
Im so hanging out for another uss..haveing semi nightmares that BoB has stopped growing...silly I know but we all have them. Although I could feel my uterus today so that was reassuring... I will probably order one of those fetal dopplers on ebay I think my mind reassurance is needed over the next few months...lol..lol paranoid patty thats me..... sigh sometimes I just wish that I was 30 doing this and not 41 nearly 42.....sigh... so much easier...oh well we get what life gives us...and Im hoping for a beautiful healthy baby...I think will be a girl...we will see...lol..lol....

Micca - I am one of those people who can't cope with any kind of meds, nothing with codeine as it makes me ill. So i just put up with it best i can. Worse case if i get really bad then i'll have to head home i guess. A walk in the bush taking photo's sounds great. I love taking photo's but haven't done much lately. I have been wanting to do a Digital SLR course so i can learn to use my camera better but just never got around it. I have a couple of books so i should read them in prep for when bubbs comes as i am sure i will be taking shots left right and centre.

micca- walk sounds cold but lovely also when things are frosty/icy,nice photos too.
Lissy-Ooops done too much... think im starting already to nest.
Nat-12wks yippeee.... scan tomoz will put a smile from ear to ear on you:cloud9:
Donna- another bubba scan on the 6th sept, theres 3 of us now.Exciting
mrsP- they keeping you busy at work your quiet thru the day lately..

Got sick of looking at stuff that should be out of sight n mind & so sat on floor & cleared everything up in the loungeroom & bedroom, then dh rang our bank wants a copy of the contract to sell but it wont scan properly,so photcopied 1 page & its still too light.bum bum bum...They want it today.Real Estate dont have a scanner to send us the original... stupid.Anyway house is a bit tidier so happy with that.toys r us have cots for $199 i like them but alas they dont layby grrr & have car seats for $199 as well.No good to me without layby. They just lost a $800 sale.Already seen the midday movie but must make myself sit & stay put..Im not tired today.. with the wind weve had our backyard & pool is atrocious but im not looking, i cant do that as well today.

micca
05-08-2010, 13:17
well back from my walk.
Think I might just take it easy and not repeat that again... so I went into the bush in my backyard and up a trail to a waterfall. all uphill.. it was hard going..there were lots of trees down from our recent high winds and snow, as well as the track covered in snow... so I huffed and puffed. fretting that I might have been getting a bit too SOB, and pulse a little rapid all I could think of was ...BoB and I hope it was ok and not getting oxygen starved...lol..lol.
I feel exhausted and tired and a little nausous now... so time for the couch and I wont be doing too strenuous walking for a while.......flat gentle walking for me now on...

so lying on the couch watching oprah...lol..lol.... its good today...freakshowville...lol..lol....

plsjust,,,I looked at those car seats in the sale online... they look good but I just have no idea...might work on finding a review of carseats..

Pls - I can't believe Toyr R us don't layby sale goods, that is ridiculous!!

Micca - You have to be careful out there in that bush alone. Where do you live btw, sounds lovely?

I just went to lunch with some old work mates and now i am soooo full, i had a Pizza (after having one last night oink oink)

Pls - I know what you mean I went into Toys R us today and had a trolley full of stuff approx $500 odd dollars worth of stuff and asked where the layby was and the lady gave me a blank stare and said we dont do layby Im like what that ridiculous I dont know of a store around that does not do layby! Rang hubby he said just put it on the credit card so went back to the register and the snooty little 17 yr old was half way putting through the items and goes not everyone does layby you know in a sarcastic tone......hormones kicked and I turned and said to her well just for that sarcastic remark you can have the pleasure of reversing this sale and putting all the stock back! Man I cant go anywhere these days

Petals-you go girl !!!! Wooo hoo. I sent head office a email.... complaining.Said pregnant with twins bla bla bla not everyone is cashed up to be able to buy things outright. They used to many yrs ago have layby i used to do the kids xmas stuff then they got rid of it & did the play/buy & it was deducted weekly/monthly off your C/C but too many ppl didnt pay so that was cancelled too.Its bullsh$t... they'd have to be about the only place i know of that doesnt layby.Good on ya for giving it to her, i perticular hate rude customers but when the salesperson is rude first my blood boils.

Micca- Take it easy woman. My aqua instructor said there only ever restricted from oxygen when you are truly huffing & puffing. You cant get enough oxygen for yourself so slows down the rate they get so told me never to excercise to the point of huffing, except for at the end of the pregnancy when you get a bit breathless because of minimal room left etc..

Dh is supposedly bringing home some chunky canned soups for dinner, hoping he doesnt forget like last night.Ive had a relaxing arvo..shut my eyes for about 20mins... brains just not tired today its wired after feeling so yuk yesterday.

Mrs P
05-08-2010, 16:27
Petals good on you for doing that!!!! Gotta love these hormones haha

micca
05-08-2010, 17:33
plsjust...yeah I probably huffed a bit...and us preggy ladies have a lower tolerance to low blood oxygen than non preggers people...hard when you live high...lol..lol...

I passed out on the couch for an hour this afternoon lovely and warm and comfy, I have not moved since..oooh not even to go to the toliet...hmmm better drink more water..
Ate my easy chinese soup... 2min oriental noodles, 1/2 can creamed corn, tsp soy and lots of water....yummmy... if I had chicken I would have put that in as well...
steak and veges tonight.. friday is going to be mexican night...woohoo....
nanchos and salsa....

oh yeah ....re the weight gain.....normal gain from week 13-40 0.400kg a WEEK !!!
so keep that one in mind ladies.......lol..lol...

Hi hope all of you with the sniffles are feeling better soon.:hugs:

I have some good news we have an appointment at John Hunter Hospital on Tuesday with the Fetal Maternal unit where they will give us our plan of care and do a scan. Fingers no everything crossed that they find a membrane between our twins and that will be one less worry. It just feels so good to finally be getting the attention needed for our 3 precious bubbas. They had just received a referral for another lady pregnant with triplets!! Two sets in one day .

Hi all,

qu - just a bit worried as my HCG hasn't doubled rwice over lat week. week 6 was 21000 and week 7 64000 whehn it should've been in the 80's???

swedeendie
05-08-2010, 19:37
sorry ladies...I been MIA.....been sooo sick for so long now and finally getting a bit better....took last of the antibiotics yesterday

Bubba - that is good to hear...you need all the support you can get....

Micca - I hear you. I went for a long walk with the dog on the weekend and that wasn't to impressive. i had to stop twice to catch my breath..(What the...?)
I too get really worried here and there and think little bubba stop growing..it is just insane that we never can stop the worry..

Nat - wow 12 weeks...what a relief....:smiliedance:

Petals - that is just hilarious..you go girl.....

PLS - how are you coping with dizzy spells - are they better now?

Mrs P - glad you saw the little dancing bub yesterday....another tick and another week..... Hope your feel better tomorrow with the sore throat...
...and you to angela....

....and your headache Lissy.....is it due to pregnancy hormones or is your neck?

Donna - how do you feel?

Well, today I am worried. I don't know if yu remember when I got my bloods back a loooooong time ago from my GP and she said she could detect antibodies in my blood. She thought maybe it was some contamination or very low numbers and wasn't anything that I should worry about. Well, when I went to the hospital last week they did another follow up on that.
I have to see the doctor about this on Tuesday and I am so worried.
I know if you are Rh-negative you are in danger of getting antibodies and you will recive a shot after the baby is born.
Apparently it is very unusual to get antibodies when you are rh-positive which both hubby and I am. They refused to give me any more info on the phone.
When you get antibodies the body think it is something it needs to get rid of (i.e the baby)....has anyone heard of anyone going through this> I posted a thread about this too.....I am just freaking out a bit and it feels so long until Tuesday.
hubby said to me to stop worrying - if it was something really bad they would have asked me in straight away....
the only thing the lady said on the phone was that I will need more tests from now on....scary scary scary...

(sorry if a bit long...but it is a bit complicated....:o)

Hi Girls!

Just popped in to say a big hello to you all .

MrsL, I think about this time the levels don't rise as quickly. Have you had a scan to check for a heartbeat? There is a point where your levels don't double anymore, so if you are concerned, maybe ask for a scan? Or phone up your doc to see what they say.

I'm heading over to Broome for a week, so will miss keeping up with what you are all up to. I'll have to put a couple of hours aside when I get back to catch up :).

Have a lovely week ladies!

bonnybaby
05-08-2010, 19:40
Mrs L - Hey dont worry about the hcg not doubling. I asked the very same question to my clinic just last week when mine hadnt doubled. I was told in the very early stages it should double. But then it stops doubling and by week 7 they like it to be anywhere between 50,000 and 100,000. So yours being in the 70,000's for week 7 sounds spot on. If mine was to keep doubling it would be astronomical.

 to everyone. Sorry for no personals, Im finding it difficult keeping up as Im only on BH once a day really, and by the time I get home from work Im stuffed.

Well, had my last appoint with FS today and he did a scan, 7wks 2 days today! I saw a lovely little heartbeat :D Im so happy. There is still 2 yolk sacs, but only 1 bubba. He believes that the 2nd yolk sac will either just dissolve, or come away with a bit of bleeding. I have 1 last BT tomorrow though. Seems very wierd not being managed by the FS anymore. Into the big world of ob's now
Ive been getting soooooo hungry I feel like Im going to faint sometimes. This is normal??

plsjust1more
05-08-2010, 21:20
MrsL-Like the other ladies ahve said it starts to level out so dont worry.Whens your HB scan?

Sweede-Glad you finally feeling better.Im doing ok havent had the really bad dizzies much at all now, being 15weeks everything has settled right down thankfully.

Zofar-Broome wow,you will need more the a few hrs to catch up the way lissy chats hehehe:laughing:

Bonny-So pleased all going ok & how sweet that little heartbeat pounding away is.When ever worried think of that little heartbeat boomboomboom.I still get that fainty feeling if i dont eat or snack at least every 2hrs but thats cause its 2 in there.Hanging for that to subside & i can get back to normal meal times.

Well dh bought home some cans of soup was yummy, now soooo full i feel yuck lol cant win.

MrsL
05-08-2010, 21:24
thanks ladies. i actually had a scan last friday at 6 weeks 4 days and saw a heatbeat of 119bpm so i am feeling good about that but was a little concerned when she gave me HCG results today.

petalsinthewind
06-08-2010, 05:25
Mrs L - Dont panic about yor HCG mne nevr made it over 25000 before it levelled off and did not always double and I had twins on board! Epecially as you have also seen the heartbeat!

Bubb - You still must be in shock!

Bonny - Congrats on a healthy heartbeat that is fantastic its such a relief!

AFM - Just relaxing today! Hubby went back to Babies r us last night and got the baby stuff I wanted gotta love our men sometimes :valentine: and also made a complaint about the girl that upset me, although I am really capable of taking care of myself its nice to know that there is a strong mand behined me ahhhh sigh.......

Also quick question does anyone else notice when you wake up the bubs is sitting at the bottom of your uterus and then by the end of the day its up near your ribs and you look really pregnant!!

Mrs P
06-08-2010, 07:04
Petals that was nice of your dh. I know what you rae talking about with the belly thing, I put it down to food lol.

Sorry I've been quiet, my throat is sore and flemmy and gross :( I hope I can fight it off before it gets worse

MrsP- rest rest n more rest.
Petals- ohh that was lovely of dh...sweet & also gets you the things you wanted too.
MrsL- perfect if youve seen the heartbeat, dont worry about the levels they dont mean much after they start levelling.

Morning lovelies,

Bubba - You and your 3 little munchkins will be in great care i am sure

Swede - Sorry you have been so sick, nothing worse. I think my headache could be a mixture of both but i think more the hormones. Try not to worry about the Blood results. If there is an issue the Drs should be able to do stuff for it.

Hi Zofar - Have a lovely time in Broome, oh how nice would it be to have nice weather ( and to not have to read 34,890 posts by Pls:laughing:)

Bonny - Its so good to see a little bubba going along well. Hungry, yes veeeerry normal especially in the 1st trimester. Us Jan/Feb due girls were totally obsessed with food early on, what am i talking about, we still are

Pls - haha you and i should have a talk off:ecomcity:

Petals - aww your Hubby is the best. I wouldn't have a clue where bubs sits but my belly does seem to get bigger as the day goes on, could be my bladder and stomach pushing it up though.

Mrs P - Just so you know, your don't 'actually' talk when you type haha, no bu seriously i do hope you feel better soon

Thank firetruck its Friday!! Last night i wasn't well at all. I didn't eat much and i had the worst reflux i have had, it made me throw up big time which was awful and then i had a lump in my throat while i was trying to get to sleep :barf:Not so bad today but of course still have this damn headache. I think it is becoming
regular thing, poo.

Lissy you smart a$$ lol. We are all sick of some sort lol when will we all be healthy

I had my nt bloods this morning. Was a different lady than normal. Old bird being judgmental of me being young and pregnant. When she filled out the forms and learnt it was ivf #9 she started being nice. Stupid old people. 3 more sleeps till nt woo

What's everyone up to this weekend?

plsjust1more
06-08-2010, 09:41
Lissy-I havent even posted 34,890 times woman but im heading up that way!!!!! Yes we sure can talk... That'll teach ya for eating so much pizza..... budha didnt want pizza again for lunch yesterday...lol

MrsP- yah 3 more sleeps, its so excitting when you see bubba in depth with the NT scan.

Mrs P

Pls I can't wait. Did anyone get an idea of sex from the nub?

micca
06-08-2010, 09:52
morning gals
jeeze Ive just dragged myself out of bed... and feel like I could still be there...some of the fault is me as I read my book until midnight last night...eek...note to self go to bed earlier.
feeling a little seedy but have not eaten as yet... treating myself to a fry up this morning....yummmmmmmmy.

zofar....enjoy broome...it should be wonderful and warm

plsjust... grrr sorry you are feeling poorly again...

petals.....your husband is such a gem.... makes be jealous as I sit hear alone...lol..lol

Mrs P...hope you feel better soon its the most miserable place to be....

bubba...hope you are feeling a little more centred...

mrsL...I agree with all the ladies... once you have a heartbeat that is more accurate than Bhcg. I had a very low beta to start with...and I started with identical twins....!!!! so it does not mean a lot after 6weeks...

plsjust1more
06-08-2010, 10:05
mrsP- they said they can look but can highly likely get it wrong so wont commit to telling you but we got told def at the morph scan as there fully formed & just really need fattenining up & its alot easier to pick up cause there so much bigger as well.I have heard a few ladies on another thread say they found out at NT but we had no luck.

You can pay to have a scan to determine the sex & thats all they look for,but medicare wont cover it.

Mrs P
06-08-2010, 10:05
Micca I feel your pain today lol I webt to bed at 11 which is WAY past my bedtime. Damn cougar town being so late

Lissy Loo
06-08-2010, 10:06
Pls - I forgot that we can see post counts :laughing:I think i win

Micca - mmmmm fry up, sounds good

Mrs P - I don't think we got a good view of the nub so i'm just being patient :) grr what a rude woman, who cares how old you are, we all have different reasons for why we need IVF and age shouldn't matter.

bourbon11646
06-08-2010, 10:06
IM BACK!! Cant get rid of me that easy
Man was my other thread causing dramas or what!! First i had it as ivf babies due apr, may, june then people felt left out and wanted march included which is understandable coz we all cycled together in july, so i changed it with great demand to march/april, that was too confusing and not fair since we have this thread so now im changing it back!!
Everyone understand that?
So.... im just gonna stalk & maybe post in this thread AND the other apri, may, june thread.

I dont like my family being split up! :hugs:

bourbon11646
06-08-2010, 10:08
PS: to you more 'experienced' ladies who have done your tickers, how do i do mine? I know how to create it but im confused by the dates? I type in the due date at the end which is fine but the beginning date... when does that start as it keeps saying im 3 weeks etc when im just over 4 weeks?

Lissy Loo
06-08-2010, 10:12
B - Those tickers can be temperamental little things. Just put the start date as your first day of the cycle. The end date is a guess at the moment but just calculate 40 weeks from that CD1 date or 38 days from ET. It is usually a day off for some reaosn. mine still is which is annoying.

plsjust1more
06-08-2010, 10:14
Bourbon-I put in my last period start date as the start date as otherwise my ticker wouldnt move along correctly. Its weird there not 100% accurate anyway.Im only a 38wk pregnancy (twins) so i have to take off 2 weeks of the weeks left anyway cause the tickers count to 40wks.I cant change the EDD date to the correct one cause then my weeks pregnant will be 2 infront of where i am.Probbaly confused the hell out of ya now LOL You'll see there not correct anyway.

plsjust1more
06-08-2010, 10:20
Bourbon- I was watching all that action with threads, but also too made it hard for some of our march ladies as we'd lose them to you or vica versa, they'd feel torn were to post 7 not everyone as chatty as us lot & post everywhere, so think it was just easier to have it how it should be... in a few weeks ppl wont even think about it anymore.Plus the ones that are due like the 1st days in april will drop off to have bubs & more then likely even have them in march too which leaves the rest of the dates with not as many ppl to talk to.IYKWIM Just my opinion :D but glad you can post in both.

Lissy-you win hands down... wonder how long it will take me to catch up.... have to look at your joining date & mine & work it out... Now we got bourbon chatterbox too joining in Ohh no

bourbon11646
06-08-2010, 10:30
And im certainly chatting this morning  ... oh wait saved by my progesterone alarm but ill be back!!!
PS: i must be retarded coz i cant do my ticker! I can fill out the dates etc now fine and everything else but when i copy and paste that first link into my signature it just shows as a bunch of writing and tells me my sig is now way too long! Can someone pls help? Thanks.
Back in an hour im on pessaries now doh!

Lissy Loo
06-08-2010, 10:35
Pls - Based on my calculations you now win on average :) I have posted an average of 160 posts per month over the 17 months i have been a member. You have posted 162 posts per month over the 10 months you have been a member. So you win the :ecomcity: award. Congratulations

Borboun - Its all sorted now so no worry at all. We are all one big happy family anyway.

plsjust1more
06-08-2010, 10:36
Bourbon-Happy pessary time. You'll have to shorten all your writing about your history of cycles. You can only have i think 3 lines & so many characters above the ticker... check all ours out ,weve had to minimise the stuff we wrote about history then it fits in.

plsjust1more
06-08-2010, 10:38

Good morning lovely ladies!!

Well we finally told DD this morning that there was a baby in my tummy. Her response was priceless!! She was grinning from ear to ear. She was touching my belly and kissing it. She even said she was having happy tears!! Then when it was time to take her to school she had to walk in front of me on the stairs in case I felt wobberly! She wouldn't let me put her school bag in the car as it might be too heavy!! Then once at school she normally goes off and plays while I chat this morning though she wanted to sit with me and guard and protect me! Love her to bits. :valentine: She is the best natured little girl.
We didn't tell her that we had 3 babies in there yet will wait a little longer to hit her with that news!
Hope everyone is feeling better. I am off to get my referral to JHH. Have a great day

Cold hasn't got any better unfortunately.

Just wondering if anyone has had their first booking in appt with Royal Brisbane Hospital. I just want to know if I get to listen to the baby's heartbeat, as my husband is coming along?

Damn pimples, never used to get them , now i have like 4 and they are huge......
My skin seems to be sooo oily any suggestions?

nat..good luck with the NT scan I hope it all goes well..... I still have 6 sleeps before mine....

Bubba...YAY 12 weeks...:yelclap::yelclap::yelclap::yelclap::yelcl ap:
your daughter is sooo sweet.. got to love her... she is so going to be the supercarer for you when you tell her there is 3 in there....lol..

plsjust.... hahahaha I did not have any hash browns... I think I left it tooooo long to eat though.... I ate dinner at 7pm and then the next meal was 1130am....as I felt a bit dizzy when I was preparing it and now I just feel sick......... note to self....eat breakie when I wake up !!!!!!. Now on the couch watching TV feeling sleepy...lol..lol...

Angela...dont fret they will go away soon....I had worse pimples than when I was a teenager...they dissappeared by about week 9-10.

plsjust1more
06-08-2010, 11:50
Anglea- ha the same.Ive got 4 too. 2 on my edge of my chin & 2 under my left eye on my cheek.I calculated that i would be somewhere in between o'ing & af due if i wasnt pregnant so wondering if thats the cause. Plus in that timeframe i always have a clean freak/tidy up period like i did yesterday & itching to sit still today.. so makes sense. On my first booking in appointment with the Ob/hospital the midwife tried listening to the heartbeats but she looked too low wouldnt believe me they were up higher so we missed out then the scan lady even confirmed there way higher then my pubic bone there rnd my belly button & ribs area.

Dh gone to get pies & sausage rolls & just maybe a little caramel tart each :smiliedance: sick of eating bread.

Food, food and more food. That's all you lovely ladies seem to be talking about!:raspberry:

Its little wonder I haven't been able to get on here for the last three weeks with these sorts of conversations. I have been so sick with m/s. I thought it was supposed to get better after 12 weeks - not worse. I have spent the last three weeks from 10am to 10pm dry heaving ALL day long. I couldn't even think about food without heaving. If my DH tried to talk to me about what to make for dinner, I would run to the toilet, yelling at him to shut up!!!!

I hope you are all travelling well. I would love to do personals but three weeks is way too long to catch up on. So just a few quick ones:

Nat - Hope you're having a great time at the scan.

Mrs P - Hope you are feeling better soon

Bubba2 - You sound like you are doing so much better and your DD sounds like such a darling.

 Hi to everyone else. Hope to be a little bit more responsive from here on in.

I hope no one minds me crashing this thread? Im kind of in limbo between this one and the apr, may, june one.

Nat - What a spin out, cycling together in march! I remember you name but not a huge amount more im sorry. I have been on bubhub for over a yr cycling so have probably cycled with just about everyone on here, pretty sad huh!

Micca - i dont know you but happy legs 11 :yelclap:

Bubba2in2011 - just had to say how sweet your daughter sounds, that is gold! What a cutie

Plsjust - mmmmm hash browns i want one right now. I actually asked DH to 'deter' to maccas the other day to feed my hash brown craving and he wouldnt! Hes gonna have to get used to satisfying my cravings i reckon and understand we just 'need' certain foods lol

Hope everyone on here is doing well

AFM: After my meltdown last night from extreme OHSS pain it has gotten a bit better this morning thank god. And i was finally able to sleep past 2am.
Wasnt hungry this morning but now that ive fed 'raindrop' he/she is hungry again! Im gonna get huge if this continues lol..
Time to try to work out this darn ticker now...

plsjust1more
06-08-2010, 13:35

Bourbon-cause we dont mind you crashing in:laughing: you know we can probbaly answer most q's too to satisfy that worrying mind.

:sunshine:Well weve had a offer on the house !!!! Its a little too low but were in the back n forth stages with $$ will be so happy if this sells today !!! Im busting to tell someone & not telling family till its a done deal !! Funny i mentioned this early this morning do do do do eary.... wonder if i sensed this...

Lissy Loo
06-08-2010, 14:34
Angela - Its funny, my skin has been terrible since i started IVF early last year but now i am pg it has cleared up, go figure!

Micca - naughty girl waiting so long to eat 'smack'

Assenav - oh crap, sorry about your m/s, i thought mine was bad.

Bourbon - Of course we don't mind, another chatterbox to keep pls company:laughing: oh the hungers, you just wait, it gets worse. Raindrop is a cute name btw

Pls - Thats great, hopefully you get a sale
Does anyone else have acid reflux? It is not very pleasant. I feel like i have a ball of fire in my throat all the time yuck.

nat1
06-08-2010, 15:22
Okay we're back from the NT scan! Everything is perfect...

Trisomy 21 (Down Sydrome) - 1:14976
Trisomy 18 - 1:8059
Trisomy 13 - 1:8234

DH was in awe of how much it looks like a baby now...we saw its spindly little hands and feet close up which was amazing. Nice strong heartbeat of 178BPM.

One minute it's lying down with it's hands behinds it's head, the next minute it's jumping up and down doing kicks and wavings it's hands...then back to sleep again lol.

So happy and relieved with how it all went today! :smiliedance:

Plsjust - goodluck with selling the house i hope it happens soon for you! And youre right, because you guys are in front of me, youve been there done that and can help me!

Donna - so ive got itchy skin to look forward to aswell hmmm!

Lissy - In one of my many sleepless nights i was lying awake listening to the rain and i thought to myself that i really should name my eggs. I called one rain and the other drop (haha its prob not happy bout that) and just refer to them both as raindrop! Now i talk to them every day and will them to live. I havent had acid reflux but im sure all these lovely things will happen to me also!

Nat - Im glad your NT scan went well, the worrying never ends so its good when you get some re-assurance. How cute seeing your baby move around, DH would have loved it!

MrsP - hi there, how are you going?

AFM: Is it normal to get stomach pains as soon as i start eating? It usually goes away about half hour after but it always concerns me..

plsjust1more
06-08-2010, 16:00
Nat-thats excellent news. told ya there so cute at the NT scan mark.
Donna- havent had itchy skin but have heard as things stretch it can be itchy.Plus also can mean problems with your liver if itchy all over but im sure its possibly just from stretching.
Lissy- yes the reflux sucks & can start even if i havent eaten something or drunken to start it off.Mylanta or Tums so the ob has said to me.Great sign bubs is higher up in your tummy too.

plsjust1more
06-08-2010, 16:05

bourbon...love your nickname, sounds like indigestion to me...try some mylanta before eating

well I have felt exhausted today, lay on the couch slept then had a little walk to the post office to get my mail.
I made some crunchy munchy honey cakes and some caramel popcorn... which i ate in minutes lol...lol....
i managed to burn 3 fingers with the hot melted sugar..the pain when i remove my fingers from the ice pack is extreme..grr i must have given them a good burn... im typing one handed ..lol.. might have to find drugs...and another ice pack

mrs P... welcome to the binge anomynous site..... at this site we believe we can help you overcome your desires for ice cream and channel them into more healthy routes...such as hash browns or chips.... should you have a low iron count then we will encourage you to include chocolate in your diet.... We realise that some people may have issues with an addiction to green vegetables... we have a special service for those people including sugar introduction courses.......

Im Micca.....I ate a huge bowl of caramel popcorn...which is turned into dinner as I am no longer hungry...lol...lol...lol...

EHHHH I DONT LIKE BEING SICK :( All night I just wake up coughing, breathing in cold air doesn't help. I try put my head under the blanket but I'm always farting so it doesn't smell good in there

Any little tricks that I'm allowed to do/take to get me better quicker... besides rest I am trying to squeeze as much of that in as I can

micca
07-08-2010, 10:02
mrsP.... grrr I can sympathise as I just went through the cough hell.
Bisolvin chesty tabs...are safe in pregnancy and fabulous for coughing.
Also fishermans friends are really good and the good old vicks vaporub slopped everywhere...I put it on my throat and a little under my nose that helped.
and of course codiene..which ? you cant take.....
warm air makes a huge difference, do you have a heater..??
good luck it will soon pass but drives you nuts while you have it....

well I was good and ate before I turned the computer on today...so feeling a little more energetic...I was going to go for a drive to take some photos today I guess I probably should get my fat bum off the couch......
Ive also got yesterdays cookfest dishes to clean up...sigh....
Had a werid dream about cooking where lots of people around a table had to cut up cuccumber... into teeny tiny cubes, but it was orange and red, you either had a huge machete size knife or a teeny tiny parring knife and some people did weird patterns, then everyone got bored and left to do something else...must have cooking on the brain..and I did not even watch master chief...lol....lol...

hope you all have a great saturday

Mrs P

Micca i don't have a heater, I just need to stop farting lol

lol what a weird dream, food on the brain!!!

So I am laying back on the recliner and if i poke my fingers around my left ovary its actually sore/tender. Normal?

micca

Mrs P... both my ovaries are sore when I poke them...mainly because they are the size of tennis balls with huge 3cm cysts all over them.....lol..lol..

micca
07-08-2010, 12:46
emma...I hope everything goes well....good luck to your little babies....

you guys all make me so jealous that you will have a nursery to paint and decorate... mine will be the confines of a single cot as I do not have a room for a nursery. sigh... I will so miss all that... at least I will have no nursery furniture to buy...I suppose thats a bonus. Its the price I pay for living in expensive real estate....a little narrow house with a second bedroom 2 stories above mine...that my flatmate lives in 5 months of the year.....at least BoB will have a huge area outside to play in...and a massive public heated swimming pool accross the road......lol...lol..

I ate too much....now I feel like a beached whale.....OMG theres greenpeace coming to rescue me....

car trip and photos delayed as clouds come over....I was too late...maybe tomorrow or late this arvo we will see....

I suppose I had better go and do the dishes...sigh..why is there soooo many and the dishwasher needs unloading and my bathroom is feral...where did all the pixies go....has anyone seen them around...???

07-08-2010, 16:26
Micca- havent actually got the cots gotta go back on monday/tues to buy them (hoping they dont sell out over the wk end).Im looking at the convertible ones, ive done the capsule thing with twins before & after a caesar they fricken are impossible to carry so not waisting the money on them. Its alright for 1 bub but very hard to manage for 2.So straight into the reversible car seats this time.I love the new ones with all the extra padding & protection but honestly there gonna die of heat wave in that in north qld,dh said youd have the air con on anyway but i'd much prefer windows down then air con anyday unless its a scorcher but we dont get scorcher days just the humidity.

Mcshad-you take it easy with that flu like thing lovely...put ya feet up & let mummy do the rest for a little while.

:sunshine:An update n emma-shes being moved upstairs to the ward for the night for monitoring & see how things look in the morning for her caesar, might even hopefully leave bubbas in there till monday if poss.Blood flow was good, min fluid loss at the moment.

I worked yesterday and today I just have to do something about the messy house....it is a disgrace. normally I am rather pedantic but since I been sick not much has been done...hubby is not really the the domestic cleaning type. he is off with his buddy's this weekend motorbike riding anyway......cleaning...here we go....(:banghead:)

Emma how exciting!!!!

Swedeendie that is nice of your work friend! I've been having a look at carseats, I'm getting a safe n sound. They have a new one out (i think its new) with side impact cushions. Suits birth to 18kg. Sounds nice n safe to me :)

SO I wake up this morning feeling worse :( I have to go to a wedding in 4 or so hours :( The air here is so cold at night so I got an extra throw blanky tucked it into my head rest and built a little tee pee over my head all night  it helped! Stupid FIl though came over to pick up a car last night, we put the keys in it so he didn't have to wake up and his stupid wife was taking forever so he BEEPED at her. I got up when they were taking their time and felt so rank I had to lay down I wanted to spew. Going to the chemist today and getting everything and anything I am allowed to take.

Mrs P - Have fun at the wedding

Pls - Welcome to the 14E club :) Did you get the Hot Milk brand? I have a couple of those and i love them, they are exy although i did find one on sale for $29 which i was happy with

Swede - I hate cleaning, lucky my DH vaccumed all the floors yesterday, it was doing my head in also

I enjoyed the Baby Shower yesterday, she got lots of great pressies, oh i can't wait to have mine. It was a long day as afterwards we went back to my friends place and DH met us there to watch the footy. I was out from 12:30pm until 11:30pm last night so needless to say i slept very well last night.

Emma- GL but im upto date with fb anyway :D

Sweede-yes last twin pregnancy i went upto a D size at their birth but this pregnancy i started at a D so hmmm there not growing nay bigger thank fk for that but they will fill out on top when milk comes in.Yeh safe n sound the poplular option but any brand really ok they all pass aus standards otherwise cant be sold.Lucky you getting cots & stuff,we were meant to be plans of them getting driven up here fell through.

Lissy-Yes milk brand..... ahh so comfy hey.I got the red/white lacey one & a black &goldy coloured one.Im not a real lacey girl but they are so comfy so thought what the heck im going for it.Got 4 bras now that'll do me.Gotta get cossies... hmmm there all yukko & old looking.I want a plain black tankini one that will hide the belly for aqua.Dont like showing pregnant tummy skin in public.

MrsP- your poor thing... go raid the chemist.Maybe a few days off resting & staying warm will help,im sure that what helps me get over them so quick cause i just stay put on the lounge.GL for your wedding today,im sure you'll look fine & glowing more then you think.I like the SNS side impact ones but i reckon the poor buggars will sweat to death in it up here.

Well had a late nite, watching the dvds with dh.Got mc's for dinner late lol then twins woke me at 7:30am doing YOGA so i gave up & decided to watch my belly instead,i was laughing & accidentaly woke dh.They were having a party in there so after watching for half hr decided to get up & got cuppa & theyve gone back to sleep now... typical.Twin B seems very active through the day, reguarly feel & see it move but twin A really only see it move alot in the mornings, maybe with less fluid build up it stands out alot more & thru the day i cant feel it as much cause of surrounding fluid. Its amazing watching them move,my tummy is alienated.Love to get a video of it.

MrsP- thats the worst part & when they run the probe across your bladder.......ohhhhh. would imagine your in now, well hoping or you'll be peeing the floor.

Lissy- wish the 4 weeks would hurry up seems like a eternity away again... think at first ita all ok the waiting cause your on a high from the last then you hit the 3-4 week mark & its so hard.... then the last 2 weeks is panic if all ok & excitement to see them again.Plus the anxiety knowing it may be the last time we see them before birth AAHHHH & its half way mark !!! Im sure i'll be sent for more scans being on fortnightly appoints & all.My last twins i had fortnightly scans from 28wks till the end.

:rolleyes:Well im naughty girl, gave dh a heart attack... he was ready to pack up tools & rush back (1 1/2hrs drive) cause i wasnt answering any phones, mobile or home. I was invited to the neighbours for morning tea... Ooops didnt think of the phones. He had visions i had passed out on the back stairs or somewhere.Settled him down, wont do that again without a mobile in my hand.Just had a sandwich & a salad for lunch but im constantly craving chocolate...... got none though....:hissy:

Micca- i cant set up a nursery cause its our only spare room & its little so wont fit the bed for visitors & the cots.So were making up only 1 cot in our room (will just fit too) & they can share that for the first weeks till visitors go home then they'll go into their own cots in their room awhile after that.Dont know what to do if we get visitors after that, they'll have to get accommodation or hire a van for out the front.Im not getting a change table... never really used my others,i used the bed or the floor, lounge etc.. so saving money there. We also dont have alot of room. You can quite easily decorate the wall surrounding the cot in your room, ive seen some really cute set ups that way.

Mrs P - I like your mid scan updates

Pls - Yeah i agree, the time will now go veeerry slowly for the next 4 weeks. oh naughty girl, take the mobile with you next time.

Micca - Do you work from home? We are going all out with Nursery stuff because we have the space but we probably won't need it all anyway. Hope you feel better soon

My friend who had her baby shower on the weekend was in hospital last night because she had bad back pain and they could see she was having contractions 6 mins apart so they kept her in overnight. She is home now but was told that bubba will probably arive in the next week. Soooo exciting. She is 36 weeks now.

Mrs P...good that white flag is out there for you.....:yelclap::yelclap::yelclap:
Did you do the bloods a few weeks ago or will you do them today?

Lissy - how wonderful to finally be able to go to a babyshower and enjoy it....next time....it will be yours!!!!

PLs - how ridiculous is that...why on earth can't they hold two????

I am very very nervous about my doctor's appointment tomorrow. I wish it was over now...I have the hole weekend to google stuff and getting more and more scared about these stupid antibodies in my blood.
I need to take :chillpill:-pill I think......

Mrs P
09-08-2010, 16:15
Pls that is so frustrating!!!! Just for that i am boycotting toys r us lol.

Hmmm well today was okay, not what I was expecting I guess. we got to hear heartbeat for the first time which was super cool but bubs was sleepy today and snuggled in its little corner not willing to move unlike last weeks jumping jacks lol. Met my ob, he is cool and seems very happy. Still waiting on my NT results once bloods come in.

On the cold front my ob said I can take anything, even nurofen is alright this early on but cold n flu tablets etc are fine. He said a healthy mum is less dangerous to baby than the meds. Need to ring and book my 20 week scan next!

plsjust1more
09-08-2010, 16:51
mrsP- oh well bubs was snug & sleepy today but still good to see them.Funny enough in our scan Twin A was the most active Twin barely moved but now i can feel/see movement Twin B is so active where as twin A i only feel early morning or late at night sometimes if were lucky.

Swede-im sure all will be ok & they would have called you in alot quicker if it was that bad.:chillpill: lovely (easier said then done) im hoping tomoz you'll be relieved that the news isnt that bad.

Funny how 1 OB says a totally different thing to another. You wonder who to believe.Im too scared to take anything other then panodol so i'll stick with that, its probably all mind over matter for me anyway cause panadol never used to work for me only nurofen but when your got a cold you feel crap enough with being pregnant on top as well.

Mrs P
09-08-2010, 17:05
Pls he made a point, when you have a fever and it gets bad your body doesn't care about baby and will just drop baby to try and make you better. Sometimes the benefit outweighs the risk.

Anyhoo my placenta is on the front wall too so he said I most likely won't feel anything until like 22 weeks! Booooooooo

Heres a pic of little one, couldn't get a good side on pic :(

Well we didnt get our cots n car seats as we went to leave & decided we better check the money has cleared & it hadnt... but its now shown up after 6pm grrrr so anyway will try tomoz,dh will come home early again so another day to wait for me...:crying: Hopefully by then the car seats are in anyway so could be a bonus. Lamb grillers for tea tonight with baked potatos & beans YUMMO am hungry.

plsjust...how frustrating about your repeated failed mission to get the cots and seats....grrrrrrr I hope you have joy tomorrow... dinner sounds good... I had beef stirfry...so got my veges in...YAY....

MrsP.... how frustrating that you have not got the results as yet... but they will be really good just because of your age....
Great pic of the bubba... I hope I can manage to get one as good.... Im with plsjust... I would just stick to normal simple meds.. cold and flu tabs dont make much difference anyway...

swede.... I hope that the antibodies in your blood sort themselves out... they have probably been there for a while and may have resulted from the last pregnancy... I think it may mean you need anti-D....anyway if it was serious they will get back to you....

So my day is over, Im fed about to have a cuppa and enjoy left over chocolate pudding...yummmo.
I managed to borrow a fetal doppler today and managed to briefly hear the heartbeat... was happy as I am only 11w3d... it only measured 140, but I think that the pick up was really poor...but Im pleased that it worked....so I think I might actually order one very soon...maybe tonight...lol..lol... Im still in real denial about being pregnant...maybe after the nuchal I will feel better...I just feel dissociated... its the paranoid patty in me..lol.. any way 3 sleeps to go....

busy day tomorrow at work, so I am going to make sure I have a good packed lunch and lots of water...

Mrs P, congrats on the scan results.

I was sick last thursday, friday, saturday. I had today off as a holiday as we had our first booking in appt at hospital.

DH got to hear the heartbeat for the first time and it was exciting to talk about birth options, even though i think i am in denial.

How does everyone work full time while being pregnant, i am finding it soo hard, tired all the time.

I am thinking of asking if I can reduce my hours , even though i have only been there 4 weeks.
Hope it doesn;t turn out to be a disaster, would love to work 3-4 days a week.

See what happens i guess.

Any advice would be awesome!

3 Weeks till Morph Scan, can't wait!!!

micca
09-08-2010, 21:07
Angela...fabulous on hearing the hb... I understand about the denial thing...lol...
I work 3 days a week..with one weekend in 4 .they are long days....often 12hrs but its the knowing that I have 4 days off to recover that really saves my sanity....at the end of the day you have to do what seems right for you.... especially if you want to keep working as late as you can

OK I took the plunge... the doppler is ordered and paid for...gulp..If Im lucky it might arrive by friday... scary stuff..... at least I have it now... it will certainly help for pregnancy #2... since Ive got 2 FETs in the freezer...lol..

I am working full time and coping. There were a couple of hard weeks when I was feeling a bit dead from about 2pm onwards, but once I hit the 2nd trimester, it passed. although I still the the occasional off day.

here's my two cents:

1. No big lunches - you just feel uncomfortable and desperately in need of a siesta
2. water water water - dehydration really knocks you around.
3. stick to low GI food. high GI food seems to have energy peaks and troughs.. you want a nice steady energy streams.
4. Park at least 10 minutes from work - the walk at the end of the day perks you up enough for the drive home.
5. water water water
6. Healthy snacks - nibble small amounts all day.
7. go for a walk at lunch

that seems to keep me going. Like I said... some days are still tough, but I can keep going like this.

hope this helps!

Mrs P - Yay for the good scan! What a cutie

Pls - Check your carseats when they come from Toys r us ours was missing a strap took it straight back going buy this from somewhere else to important for them to stuff it up!

Micca - I was the same as soon as I got the all clear from the NT scan I allowed myself to get really excited and actually enjoy it! It feel very real!

Angela - If you feel the need you should, the bub is the most important thing at the moment not work!

AFM - Off to Dr today for a check up my Dr has been with me from day dot so I think she is being over protective but I dont mind! Also Im 14.5 weeks and I think I can feel the bubs moving I cant feel it on top of my tummy but def inside its the weirdest feeling :smiliedance:

swedeendie
10-08-2010, 08:02
MrsLink - good tips.....

Angela - the tiredness is really knocking me around too. I feel I am fine at work now but really really tiredat night. I go to bed around 9.......:o
But as Petals said - if you feel like you need to change your working hours to be able to cope....go for it. Bub is the most important issue...

Micca - I too so wanted to get a doppler..but every time I wanted it instant when I been worried so I never got to order it online.....I just couldn't wait for the delivery ...and the next time i wanted it I regretted that I didn't order it last time.....
Regarding the antibodies....I am rh-positive so the anti-D does not apply to me(it is for the rh-negative) ...I think the rareness of this is what worries me.....anyway...I will found out today.....it might not be so bad as I am visualizing every now and again.....((()))(stupid google)

Pls - how did you go with your seats and all....?

Mrs P - isn't it amazing you can see bub on the pics.....good info about the placenta - at least you don't need to worry if you can't feel little bub moving yet....

micca
10-08-2010, 08:46
well Ive a few mins before work....
I slept like crap last night....coughed my lungs up until about 2am...sigh and then got up to wee every 2hrs afterwards...I am sooooooooo tired this morning......typical with a long day ahead of me....

I had another go with the doppler last night in bed and managed to get a very clear heartbeat rate around 170 so I was really really happy....
cant wait to get the doppler of my own.... got to give it back today.

have you guys checked out this site...

pramwarehouse.com.au

its got a good range of sale items and the postage seems quite reasonable...

gotta got to work...

Mrs P, What an amazing pic. When do you get your blood results back?

Micca, ooh how exciting hearing the hb. I have a cheapy but I don't think it will work for a few weeks yet.

Angela/Swede, I hear you on the tirdeness. I am absolutely exhausted. I am in bed my 8.30 most nights but awake about 2-4am. Insomina is killing me!

Pls, You have so put me off dealing with ToysRUs. It really isn't hard to give good service and so damaging when they dont.

 Everyone else.

We have our first ob appointment today at 11am. Very excited. What questions should I be asking???

Morning gals,

Mrs P - awww look at little bubba.

Petals - YAY for feeling bubs move, i think i have started to feel something too.

Misslink - Agree with all your working tips :)

Micca - I thought about a doppler but then thought i'd get too obsessed with it

Ang - Yep i work full time. I was very tired in the 1st tri but it seems to be ok now, i have more issues with my ongoing Neck problem than anything else. I have just received work from home access so hopefully i should be able to
do that once a week or so which will help.

Pls - How annoying re the Car Seats, hope you get them today. Not that you need them yet

Forever - oh very exciting. There isn't really much you can ask at this point. You can ask for a dating scan. Good luck, where is your OB? I've probably asked before but where are planning on having bubs?

AFM - Headache and neck pain as always boo. Getting a bit over it so think i need to ramp up the treatments again. I need to find a nice local GP who will give me referrals so i can claim things like Osteo etc at Tax time.

Wow you ladies are hard to keep up with !!!

Emma - congratulations on your safe arrival of your two gorgeous girls - how quickly that came around!! :yelclap:

To all the lovely ladies who have suffering from various lurgies - hope you are feeling better - nothing worse than tired, pregnant & sick & snotty all at the same time.

Forever - good luck with your OBs appointment today - I'm so envious - we are still two weeks away from ours and I want to start now!!!

MrsP - great to hear your blood tests show low risk - some consolation to waiting til 20 weeks to be sure everything is ok - as I'm sure it will be :goodvibes:

I hear you all on the tiredness scale. My last 2 weeks seem to have disappeared into a cycle of work, sleep and eating and trying not to vomit! Have barely been able to turn the computer on - hence absence from any posting activity.

We have our next FS appointment today at 10.5 weeks for another scan - about time as I'm starting to get nervous about how the bubs are going again. The nausea seems to be easing abit which is great but makes me worry.

Bought my first maternity bras on the weekend as was bursting out of my 10E's - now have 12 FF's - FFS I left the shop feeling like crying with the ugliest bra on the face of the earth. Then bought some work pants as well - I swear I am not supposed to be showing yet but it can't all be fat can it????

FS appointment at 3.15..... tap tap tap tap

Micca-id be like lissy & obsess over listening to them all the time.Dh is obsessed enough with my belly now.
Lissy- you poor thing with your neck... better amp up the appointments & get it better.
Forever-GL with your ob appointment.
Gracefilled- yeh for a another sneak peak at bubba
MrsP- glad you finally feeling better & had the day off yippee, rest rest rest & another scan booked yippee

Well ive had a sh$t of a night/day,arguing about child support with the ex d/head & the kids,he has managed to alienate me from the kids cause he owes $2500 & wanted to give it to DS who doesnt work... NO WAY,so refusing to give me a cent,no different to our ex marriage anyway but because i refuse the kids to have it,the kids are all at me cause im making their life hell.WTF ????? So been very upset, hardly slept.Dh worried about what the stress is doing to me & the bubs.MY DS abused me to the hill last night cause he was expecting this money to buy another car this wk end.. so as far as im concerned hes not welcome back in this house again. His father can rescue him from down Bundaberg, since they all think so highly of their father...anyway i could rant on forever but wont & will only end in tears again. BUT on a brighter note we have another offer on the house & its only 5k from what we want, so real estate pushing for that last 5k as i type this & then its sold !!!

Mrs P - How cute is your bubba! Great news that your bloods have come back as low risk, I'm confident everything will be just as good when you go in for your morph!

Pls - Your ex sounds like an absolute di*khead! Excuse the french but I'm pretty sure he knew that's what was going to happen when he offered the money he owes you to DS. And if he was a mature adult he would have discussed with you first instead of putting ideas in their heads to try to win them over and cause trouble for you. I'm so sorry you're going through this drama at the moment, it's the last thing you need! Take care of yourself, DH and your bubbas cos that's what matters at the moment, try not to let it overtake you even though I know how hard that would be.

Hi to all the other girls, I'm way behind on bubhub but I hope everyone is well :hugs:

AFM - Announced to everyone last night we're having a baby. Everyone was over the moon and DH's parents cried! Very cute. My absolute b*tch of a SIL (DH brother's wife) asked in front of everyone "so have you been trying long?"....who asks that in front of a whole family? The whole room just went quiet. Then she proceeded to stare daggers through my uterus and then look away when I caught her staring at me...someone wasn't too happy she wasn't getting the attention! She then harassed me for what names I am thinking about and every name I mentioned related back to her "oh my niece has that name, my friend has that name". Everything was about her. Really just put a dampener on what was supposed to be a happy night.

Grace - Sorry you have been feeling the full effects of Pregnancy. Hopefully that eases soon. My symptoms have eased alot since around the 15 week mark. Man you have a decent set of bazoomba's there. I thought mine were big at 14E:o.

Pls - Oh what an awful time you are having. Your ex sounds like a real peice of work. Good news about the prospective buyer

AFM - Just came back from my Acu appot. Was soooo relaxing. She used some points that will hopefully help with my Neck.

Nat - you don't think maybe your SIL may be having troubles conceiving herself? I don't know if this is the case but might explain the jeaslousy.

Hi All,

Grace, I love looking at your ticker as it's the same date as mine. Sorry to hear your've not been well. Hopefully it passes soon.

Pls, I agree with Nat, I think your ex knew exactly what he was doing. d**head.

So we met our ob for the first time and he was lovely. All looks great with the twins and he said we are down to a 2% miscarriage rate now which was music to our ears. He did say his preference was to deliver via csection though which I found disappointing. I told him I would be trying for natural bar any complications that may arise.

Nat - grrr to your SIL, that is so rude of her. I think if she was having problems conceiving then she would know not to ask those sorts of questions in front of everyone. It is a great moment though when you tell people the news.

Forever - So happy that the twins are looking good. Every week you get closer to the 12 week mark decreases the m/c risk. I wonder if all OB's will say c-sect for twins, i don't know much about multiple births but i am sure there are woman out there who have given birth to Twins naturally, maybe just a little earlier.

10-08-2010, 14:10
Hi Donna - Nope she is on the pill as she announces constantly. They have only been married 6 months and just bought a place so I doubt they even want a baby right now. She also goes on about how she dislikes kids. She is an attention seeker and never appreciates when anyone else is in the limelight or has happy news to share. She has always given be bad vibes as I think she is quite competitive, and I knew I was in for a treat when we were going to tell them all, but didn't realise it would upset me so much.

Lissy - Glad you're getting some help with that neck. I wouldn't mind trying some acu just to help relax me...

ForeverHopeful - Great to hear you loved your OB, goes a long way to have a good doctor that you feel comfy with!

Mrs P
10-08-2010, 14:13
Forever I'm on anothe rforum and there seems to be a few twin mummies who had their twins naturally.

My ob asked me how I wanted to have bubs he said i can choose to have c sect if I want. Told him I'd prefer natural. He said read up on everything and be prepared for anything anyway. For a woman who has no complications and having a normal healthy pregnancy she has a 70% chance of natural vaginal birth, 10% forceps/vacuum, 20% emergency c section. Interesting, still trying for out the vag!

Lissy acupuncture is sooooo relaxing

Nat she sounds like a jealous 'me' type. How awesome you told everyone though!

I've finished telling all the people I wanted to personally tell. A couple of people at work know now. Everyone else will catch on eventually, I may or may not post something on Facebook

Lissy Loo
10-08-2010, 14:28
Mrs P - Are you 2 timing us? :p
I'm with you, i'm going for 'out the vag' :D

Nat - I find Acu reeeeally relaxing.

So i forgot to take something out for dinner tonight and now i wouldn't have a clue what to have. I parked on the wrong side of the station to go to the Supermarket so it may be Baked Potatoes with Cheese

Nat- thank you those kind words...i know hes playing games & hoping to turn the kids against me but it still blows me away he can do it to them. There like almost 18 & 16 next week so i know there aware of their dads antics just very hurtful when they stick up for the parent in the wrong..alot of it is cause there scared of his reactions so go along.Im not going to have any contact for awhile, let it all die down & see what happens. I'd say your SIL is a jealous one for sure, especially if shes not got the heads up first & not in the limelight like you say....I sensed bad vibes form my ex SIL too always had the daggers at me.:chillpill: with me.... we may be able to calm each other down.

Lissy- so hoping your appointment helped today even if only a little bit but try the things she recommended ,cant hurt but surely help.

Forever- Im booked for ceasar no q's asked didnt have a choice, cause my last 2 births were ceasars one emergency one(twins breech) & 1 planned but ,me personally didnt cope well with my 1st V birth,i tore, had forceps & found it horrific so vowed never to go down that road ever but ALOT of women enjoy, embrace a natural birth so you go with what you prefer but be open for any options just in case.Glad you liked OB makes it feel even easier.

Think i need a nanna nap, if my brain would let me.....

I'm on a mission starting now (I just had half a box of dixi drumsticks) to be healthier.

ANyone know about eating low gi?

Lissy Loo
10-08-2010, 16:53
Mrs P - Us...naughty...nooooooooooo!!
I know all about eating low GI, ask away :)
firstly you can cut down on all those sugary and fatty foods. Then eat low GI foods as part of your diet, eat medium GI foods sometimes and high GI foods on the odd occasion.
I eat like this without knowing it most of the time although lately the sugary and fatty snacks have been sneaking in.

plsjust1more
10-08-2010, 16:56
MrsP- ohh you being sneaky... chatting to us. yes i have to eat as much low GI as possible can but funny since being pregnant & more so now then before actually needing more sugar then usual, feel yuk with low sugars otherwise.Ive had previous Glucose tolerance tests as my sugars were going sky high or bottoming out quickly. My sis also a diabetic but insulin dependant & i dont want to end up like here.

Ive kinked my neck cant turn /look right :crying: It hurts.Popped panadol for pain relief but its not really helping..... probably from the stress OUCH !!!

Mrs P
10-08-2010, 17:20
Pls get your hubby to give your neck a nice rub.

Lissy yep I'm guessing I need to cut a lot of the sh!t out lol.

What is the dummies version to low gi. What foods should I avoid what foods should I embrace. what is the general gist of it. I've tried googling and it still confuses me!

ForeverHopeful
10-08-2010, 17:32
MrsP, us PCOS girls know all about Low GI. Here is a link that explains it and has a database you can search foods values.

http://www.glycemicindex.com/

Low GI equals anything that is under 55. You will find that does NOT include the half box of dixi drumsticks

Mrs P
10-08-2010, 17:39
No half box of dixie drumsticks what will i do!!!!

Mrs P

Maybe I should look at some recipes lol

Your gonna hate me MrsP but here is where it gets complicated. The answer is yes depending what type of rice and how long you cook your pasta!

!Tears alert!

Just a quick one from me ladies.

Unfortunately we have lost one of our bubs - had out 10.5 week scan today and the second twin is significantly resorbed now.

Bub A is still going strong and was kicking and waving, but feeling pretty anxious and nervous about our luck changing esp re our 12 week scan.

Sorry to be on a downer and I know we are still really lucky to have one healthy bub but still is gutting.

Sorry Grace.....that is just so sad...massive hugs for you.....:hugs:

Ok girls….it is good and bad news for me…..
I think after I have googled so much on this stuff I been a bit prepared for this info that the doctor told me.

What has happen is that they found antibodies called “E” in my blood. If this goes unmonitored this can harm the baby and cause death if you are unlucky. Being monitored takes away most of the danger. What this means is that my red blood cells attacks the babys red blood cells and can cause anemia.
This will happen if the numbers goes up rapidly. What you can do if these levels gets to high is to give the baby a blood transfusion through the stomach, or if your are far enough gone, deliver the baby and then give the baby a blood transfusion after it been delivered.
This sounds very scary ....

The good news is that so far the levels are low and potentially they will stay low if I am lucky. They will need to monitor me closely as I am now at high risk
The doctor said that the closer I am getting to the end more and more test will be done to make sure the baby is ok.
It will be just a waiting game on each scan and blood test for me I suppose. At the blood test they check for the levels of antibodies (or titer) and with the scans they monitor fluid in the babys brain and liver etc.
Hubby is a bit calmer than me and is saying that when it comes to it…IF it does…we worry about it then....easier said than done.

Grace, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your bub :hugs:.

Mrs P you should still be able to get hold of a little book by Rick Gallop that has food in three groups: Green for Go, Amber for caution and Red for stop! Makes it very easy to follow and small enough to carry around.

AFM - didn't keep a thing down today. Looks like MS is back to stay . so tired... but I think that's from not sleeping properly.... it's so hard to change from your normal sleeping position. someone should invent a mattress with a hole in the middle for pregnant tummy sleepers!

Hi to everyone.
Grace my heart goes out to you for the loss of your angel :hugs:.

Pls how funny your boys names are our top 2 names for boys too!

Sorry can't remember anything else. Well we have had a big 2 days! We travelled our 5+hrs yesterday for our appointment with the fetal maternal unit at John Hunter Hospital today. We got wonderful news they found the missing membrane so no momo twins for us!! Got our management plan we have a scan at 16 & 18 weeks here just to check for twin to twin syndrome and then back to john hunter for booking into the hospital and our 20week scan on the 6th Oct!! Such a relief:smiliedance: All 3 bubbas are doing well NT scan was great all good there! We also met up with tripletime which was great to meet her and her 3 beautiful bubbas and hear of some of what to expect. We then traveled our 5+hrs home. I was so uncomfortable on the way home was horrible:no: Was so happy to see my baby I missed her so much do not know how I will survive having to be away from DD so much!! Well I am exhausted and off to bed now.

"One born every minute" was another great episode.. my synopsis:

1. boo to d***h*** hubby... "you wanted this".."if you'd just gone straight to Cesarean this wouldn't be happening"... "I'll tell you when you are having a contraction"... MY hubby was advised that this was a lesson in how not to act during labour. Fantastic she got her VBAC and Nice to see him quietly humbled at the end...

2. Yay to young lady getting to finally hold her baby (and eventually take him home!)

3. I have never seen a water birth before... I didn't know their head was out under water for so long!

Another excellent episode... I want to steal that midwife!!!!

Grace... sorry about the loss of your twin... it is hard, but now you will have the certainty of a lovely healthy bub... Nature is a fickle thing sometimes...

well work sucked big time today...
13hrs of nonstop work..finished just before 10pm...grrrrrrr managed lunch at my desk at 3pm...sigh, tried to drink water...I managed a litre... I so dont want too many days like that...poor BoB will not enjoy it at all....
tomorrow it will be another busy day as well.... even though I only work 3 days a week I end up doing a 40hr week in those 3 days...eating last nights left overs now...and will head to bed... I hope I get a better sleep as I coughed until 2am and got only a few hrs sleep...sigh... I had my cranky moments today and maybe a meltdown at other peoples incompetence... I might have to treat myself to a special lunch tomorrow...sigh...

2 sleeps to nuchal scan..getting nervous...

goodnight xxxxxx

Grace - We lost 1 of our little twins at 9 weeks, Im now 14wks 3days and the other bub doing fine he is very healthy the Dr told me there is no increased risk to other one just by loosing 1 twin in fact our little monkey is doing even better :yelclap: so good luck funnily enough I was completly fine about loosing 1 until the NT scan I lost it I was really upset so just let yourself shed a few tears then be strong for your healthy little bubba!

Grace - I'm so sorry about one of the Twins, that is very sad news:hugs:

Swede - That does all sound scary however i am sure you will be in safe hands and
monitored closely.

Misslink - Sorry about the M/s. I recorded one born every minute but haven't watched yet,
will do that tonight.

Angela - Great news about the reduced hours.

Bubba - That is a great relief to hear that the triplets are doing well. You must be tired after all that travelling.

Micca - Your work sounds really full on. What do you do? Not long until scan, exciting!!

Petals - how cool that you can feel bub from the outside already.

AFM - Has some really strange vivid dreams last night. At one point i can remember DH and i were driving down a really steep rocky track and he was driving really fast so i had to close my eyes. We got down the bottom and
almost landed in the water. When i looked up it was soooo high and really steep. We met a few other people down there. There was a really bad storm and huge waves were crashing against the rocks, people were falling into the water. Next thing i remember is kissing what i thought was DH but he was actually Ryan Kwanten (you know the guy who used to play Vinnie on Home and Away and is now in True Blood which i loooooove) how odd

Angela-Yahh for 3 days, wil make things easier for you & take some of the stresses away & a date to work towards also yippee

AFM- well kinked my neck really good & proper OMG was in agony last night like youd never believe,it kept spasming on me ova n ova i was crying in agony. We tried heat & i think it made it worse so tried a ice pack instead seemed to help.Still majorly sore today but will put ice on it again soon.Had crapola night sleep cause i couldnt turn over so spent most of it awake... 3rd night now.Taking it very easy though today & not aggrevating it at all. We also got our car seats yesterday & will go back & get the cots on friday were thinking, just dont want to drain our accounts too much before our first pay comes in from the new company.Figured they have heaps of cots in stock ,so better off getting only the car seats that they only had like 3 left.We took 2 !!!So hanging to open them up today to check them over.have to watch that 1 born every minute i dam forgot to tape it as i was in so much agony & got mesmerized watching PTTR's instead.

Petals - oh thats so cute, i can;t wait until my DH can feel buddha :)

MrsP-yahh for being out there !! Maybe now that guy wont smoke so close to you.

Well thought the nausea was long gone but NOOOOO ive got the slow cooker on with a sausage hot pot & its making me feel so sick..... obviously smells arent settled. So will be eating a very early tea for me... contemplating camping out in the bedroom to get away from the smell. Its windy ive got every window open & im on the border of :barf: Ohh was so over this feeling..

MrsP- i thought it was thats why i suggested cooking in it.I was wrong... think its the constant smell & my stupid brain telling tummy foods coming.. so its turning itself inside out in anticipation.Ive eaten all other food but nothing fixes it till i actually eat whats being cooked.Bl$$dy brain & nose..... looks like the slow cooker is getting buried in the cupboard again for awhile cause i hate this yuk feeling.I even browned the snags before they went in,didnt bother me at all.WEIRD so warning for all out there... even when nausea & m/s has passed the sense of smell with food doesnt.

Yes... if it feels like it's almost bouncing when you walk and you almost feel like you're waddling?

I think it's because it's starting to grow above the pubic bone, so your centre of gravity is changing.

steamed salmon with vegies tonight.... nice & heathly to counter all the cakes & chocs that turned up at work today.... I work with a bunch of sugar fiends...

Hey Bourbon
How did you know I would be lurking to see how your BT went  I just logged on laptop to delete my messages, some things you just can't do on the iphone. My tummy doesn't let me sit for long periods so lying down with the phone is much easier.:)

Micca - yes it definately is nervewracking at the beginning of the journey and seems like its not even real! I just want to reach 12 weeks so i can relax just a tiny bit! You cracked me up with your growth heritage forests on your legs comment. I think i have the same prob, it hurts my swollen ovaries to bend over so the legs have been abandoned lately!

Dragon - lol:laughing: I was just hoping you'd see the message, i typed a long pm and then your mailbox was full and i couldnt send it doh! Then i thought what an idiot i am because i could have just written a message on your wall to delete your pms!

Petals - Whats wrong, why arent you feeling right? I believe we know our bodies best so im glad youre getting checked out. I hope all goes well at the doc today x

Good morning everyone else

AFM: Up early as usual, my eyes are stinging from lack of sleep what with my 4am bladder wake up call and all! I nearly sneezed a minute ago and then quickly remembered the excruciating pain that i get in my swollen ovaries when i do so quickly held my nose!
Im a bit worried that my oestrogen levels are up around 20,000 and ovaries so swollen about 3 weeks after epu :(

Swede - oh how cute, don't worry we all feel the same way and get all emotional, they are happy tears :)

Misslink - Very healthy dinner, your a good girl

I have felt a bit sore for the past couple of days so my uterus must be going through a growth spurt. They are not cramps but just 'somethings'

Hi All,

I'm having a little panic attack at the moment. I've had such a huge week at work since my 8 week scan that I've only just had enough energy to eat and then straight into jim jams and bed.

Woke up this morning and for the first time passed some old blood . Have not passed any blood to date, so my heart just sank when I saw it. I got straight onto the phone to Ob and they have me going in for a scan in an hout at the hospital and then appointment back at Ob straight afterwards.... that has just scared me even more as I expected the midwife to say it's normal and don't stress. So now I am sitting here trying to stay positive, but also can't help the negative thoughts creeping in.

The crazy side of me keeps thinking we shouldn't have gone to see Slash last night as maybe Bubble didn't like the loud music, or just didn't like Slash and has just spat the dummy...... it's DH's fault, he's the Slash fan not me.......then the other side of me just wants to curl up and cry. Ob was so positive at our 8 week scan just over a week ago...did not expect this, but I'm praying all will be ok and we will hear that reassuring heart beat soon. :fingerscrossed: Must think positive thoughts - must think positive thoughts. Agghhh, my head is doing me in.

sooz07... I am sure everything will be fine...old blood is ok, it will probably end up being left over implanation blood, very very common.... its just lots of the fresh stuff we dont like...
good luck with the scan....

Bourbon... you sound like me...lol..lol...
my oestrogen was 20,000 at 5weeks and progesterone 800.... and I did the ovary holding thing everytime I coughed... it will settle as the placenta takes over...mine is much much better the last week... I had tennis ball sized ovaries with 3 x 3cm cysts on each one... hopefully today she might have a look for me.....

Mcshad...good luck for you NT scan

hi everyone....
just off for my nuchal scan...nervous.... got a 120km drive ahead of me, not sure when I will get results... the bloods are all back as they were done last week.... Im hoping today...since its just a matter of plugging numbers into a computer program....
day off today, done the work stuff...free until monday...YAY..!!!

raining and cold here today...
