My DP goes on holidays next month & we want to go away for a few nights to the gold coast. Thing is, we've been looking on the net for a nice hotel to stay in but havent had much luck.
So was wondering if anyone knew a good, resonable price hotel on the coast?? Any area as we dont mind the drive :)

Here they are :

Endless Summer Resort (http://www.wotif.com/Hotel.jsp?hotel=3564)

La Promenade (http://www.lapromenade.com.au/Location.html)

We booked both of them through www.wotif.com

Slightly (rather :o) more expensive, but well worth the money (IMHO) is this B&B up at Mt Tambourine (which is not all that far from the Gold Coast.

Hillside (http://www.hillsidebedandbreakfast.com/) is run by the friendlies people you could ever dream to met, plus they are doggy friendly so we can take our 4 legged baby too!

Here are some photos of us (http://www.hillsidebedandbreakfast.com/) up there last year. It was for our wedding anniversary, and we'd also just found out I was pregnant :)

I would definatly recommend to stay at the Marriott in Surfers Paradise as Mel has already recommended. It is great. I have worked for a child care agency and worked in sooooo many hotels on the gold coast for years and that is my one favorite out off all of them. The Pool is so good they have the lagoon Pool you can go snorkling, its like a fake beach. And the restaurants there are great too.
And you can walk into surfers to the main street and the beach is across the road.
You should grab those discount tickets and go for it :smiliedance:
You will have a great time

ive always wanted to check out that marriott pool too. one we were happy with i think is called sun city. its decked out like ancient eqypt. very nice:yes:
the marriott also has a cool japanese restaurant Benihana you know the one where you sit around the hot plate and the chef cooks in front of you throwing the food at you. yum and fun

We stayed at the outrigger Sun City resort in surfers paradise last weekend for my 21st. We loved it! The whole resort is an inca theme with a big lagoon pool with sand etc. Great place for the kids to swim. The indoor spa is huge! and private and they have this outdoor spa behind the main pool surrounded by trees, so nice, relaxing and secluded.
The room was excellent, we got a one bdroom which over looked the beach with balcony seperate bathroom, kitchen etc.
There is a special deat at the moment which is 2 nights for $300 including guarenteed 1 bdrm ocean view room and a dinner for 2 in the restaurant and bottle of wine. (Dinner was sooo good!)
We cant wait to go back!
