TTC or just no contraception?

Hi guys,

I am a bit confused. We are thinking of stopping contraception around October/November to 'let nature take its course'. We had an unplanned pregnancy the first time - do you think I am being a little optimistic of our chances of getting pregnant right away?
All these threads about mucus & ovulation dates etc etc are making me nervous!!

Me too!! :( . We stopped all contraception about 3 months ago and on the advice of my GP have just been waiting to see what happens - :confused: - I was told to try not to stress about it too early ???

this pregnancy was unplanned... and i think when i actually do TTC it will probabaly be hard...

just have to wait and see what happens i guess! i would just go off the contraception and if no results in a few months, then u can start trying all the other little things to help you along the way

I think SJ's advice is good... just go with the flow for a few months, try to BD around the middle of your cycle. If no joy after 3-6 months, then start worrying about checking for ovulation.
Personally, I am a strong believer in keeping things natural so I don't really agree with all the tablets and medications people take to try and speed things up or make themselves "more fertile" (unless of course they are prescribed by a doctor). I think that just a simple test of your LH surge each month should suffice, that's just my opinion though.

Im in the same boat, no contraception, bonking like rabbits and seeing what happens! Maybe if nothing happens in 6 months or so,ill start worrying about temps and mucus and all that jazz...

:laughing: Me too, my first 2 pregs, we decided to stop taking precautions and let nature do its thing, which it happened in first cycle.
2nd pg resulted in M/c and now im desperate to be a mum again. We have started ttc this month, but with all the termonology metioned, i kinda think i should be testing and charting ect so i get it right this cycle....lol
