This afternoon I put DS down for his arvo sleep as per usual! And then I was doing the dishes and heard this big bang and then him screaming.. I went in there and he had fell out of the cot!! :(. I dont know how it could of happened, the cot has been lowered (has been done for months) and the rail was up.

The only way this happened I can possibly think of is that he woke up, stood up, looked over the rails and lent too far and fell..

:crying: He is okay, just a bit shocked (as am I!).

I feel so bad, my poor little munchkin.

Thanks everyone, I still feel terrible.

This morning I went in there and he had just woken up from his morning nap I had found that he chucked his teddy over and was leaning over the bar of the cot. So I think this is how it happened.. :(

sounds to me like hes ready for a single bed!!!
amber was in one a few months after her first bday - cant remember exactly what age but we found her many times hanging over the edge balanced on her belly or similar strange positions :)

oh i know how you feel, when DD was a little younger she fell off my bed. i felt so bad as i have a monitor that i can see her on and normally hear her every move, but she must of just wriggled her way off and didnt hear anything till she was screaming. i felt like the worst mum ever :( she was ok, just like your lil man would be :hugs:

My son done this he had only just started to learn how to stand, so we didn;t adjust the ot stright away, then after it happneded I was a total mess, he was just laying on the floor, face down, screaming, I was so scared, rushed him to the doctors and he said "I see this regulary", I was so relieved that he wasn;t seriously hurt...

Anyway, I know this is an old thread, but dont think badly about yourself, it does happen to a few of us....my sons new thing is to climb on the couch and lean over, hope he doesnt do the same thing again....
