We have a 99' Lantra, and DD's seat is currently in the middle of the back seat. When she gets a bit older I'd like to be able to move the seat to one side - so it's easier to get her in and out, so she can see through the window and the poor old dog has a little more room back there :)

In front of the speakers that are set into the back parcel shelf, there are (on each side) a semi circle of plastic that looks like it's able to be pulled off.

According to my car manual, there are supposed to be 3 bolts in the car, I think the side two are under those semi circles of plastic... but I'm not sure and I don't want to snap something off by accident if there isn't!

So my question is, does anyone have a Lantra, and can they tell me what's under the plastic thingys?

thanks

Oh I wish I could help you but I dont have a Lancer myself so probably not much help to you. But I would say there would definately be anchor points on either side. My car came with 3 bolts but some only come with the holes to put the bolts into and these usually have a plastic cap over the top of them that you need to remove.
Hope this helped a little bit.

Ta Mermaid... I always feel like a nerd when I start a post and no one answers  Tomorrow I might do something remotely sensible and call Hyundai and ask them!

That is where they will be. Don't be afraid to pull it off, that's what it's supposed to do, it will just be like a plug...well...kinda, you'll see when you pull it up.

I think the main thing to think about is that I think it is recommended that the restraint be fitted in the middle of the car as it is the safest spot. they have 2 bolts for ppl with more than one seat (like me:D ) and need to put them to the sides. Just something to think about before moving it.

We have a 98 lantra, so I made DP go out and pull the plastic thing bit off and yes, it can be used as an anchor point, just use a key to pop it off and it comes off quite easily.

I didn't even know that lol!

Thank you!

Don't feel like such a nigel-no-friends now

Lunar - yup, the middle is the safest spot. DD will be there for a little while longer yet. But it's good to know the other bolts are there
