Nappy Rash, teething and vegemite query

My DD has a really bad nappy rash. She is currently cutting 2 (or maybe 3) teeth and has had diahorrea this morning.

Is diahorrea commonly associated with teething and does it cause a really red and sore bum?

My DD loves vegemite and has been eating a lot lately, could this also make her poos burn her bum?

Hi there, I have just cut out vegemite from dd's diet as it was giving her nappy rash and a rash on both her cheeks. I thought the rash's were from her cutting teeth as she is 1 next week and only one tooth. Everyone told me she was teething, but I just don't think she is, so I put it down to something in her diet and it turns out to be vegemite, which I might add is very common.

yeah,, its probably due to her teething, the runny poos and rash, not sure about the vegemite though, maybe take them off it for a while and see?? hope this helps...:fingerscrossed:

Vegemite's also a big salt load for little kidneys, so I'd go easy on it for that reason alone.

I stopped vegemite as of 2 days ago just to see what would happen. Her bum is still red but she didnt scream as much after her last poo:D .

I will try a little bit of vegemite again after she finishes teething just too see what happens.
