Hi,
I just wanted to hear what other ladies have experienced.
I've just passed the 6wk mark (on saturday) and on Friday night after a meal out started to feel quite queasy.
Since then I've been getting nausea every night, not too bad, but enough to be uncomfortable.
My DH and I were talking about it and I think it maybe because by lunch time everyday I'm starving, I then eat (and about half way thru I feel extremely FULL), so then I don't eat anything until dinner time. This is when i start to feel my nausea.
I would love to know what others have gone through??? Is what I'm experiencing normal?
morning sickness can strike at any time of the day - despite the name.
i am usually worse in the afternoons and evenings than i am in the mornings (i have had severe morning sickness since 6wks and am 20wks now)
mornings strangely enough are my best time of day.
perhaps in your case if you have small snacks throughout the afternoon you'll not be as empty when it comes to dinner and might feel a bit better

yes when i was pregnant (ended in mc) I was only sick at night.. from about 7pm - 12ish.. made it hard to sleep.. i would have to sit up..
mornings i was fresh as a daisy??
I was poorly at night. Had to eat by 6:30 or not at all. Going to bed early to sleep it away was helpful, went to bed before I felt to bad

Yep, I have 'evening sickness' as I call it. By dinner time, I just sit there and stare at the food and usually can't manage more than a few mouthfuls. I am almost 20 weeks and it was seemed to be getting better about a month ago but now, it's back:rolleyes: - great, because I get to prepare dinner for DH & DS and then can't stomach to eat anything. Although by about 9pm, I find I am feeling well enough to have a few pieces of chocolate ;)
I had "night sickness' with my first... would have dinner, go to bed fine - wake up about midnight - throw up my dinner, eat a piece of dry toast and have a glass of milk - go back to sleep.... I did this until about 18 weeks and then it started up again about 36 weeks... I got so used to it in the end it didn't really bother me. I always found being sick so much easier than having that constant nausea feeling.
As other people have suggested, have a snack in the afternoon - I know that my nausea was always worse when my stomach was empty.

Luckily I haven't been vomiting, but I do know what you mean about it probably feeling better rather than just feeling nausea all the time. Friday was the worst day for me, I had sickness all day pretty much, but that night was horrible. I told my DH that I just felt like sticking my fingers in and throwing up, anything better than feeling the constant nausea :(

I was also getting the night sickness. It would often start at around 12 or 2am, I would get the most queezy stomach and want to vomit but It won't come out.. I'm really wanting to put the wheatbag on my stomach for relief but trying to resist as they say not to.
This was from week 4 through to 6 and I felt completely fine during the day at work but coming into week 7, the sickness is striking me - morning, noon and night!! It won't go away! :(
I must say the best relief for me to sleep was to wear a seaband - it did wonders!!
