Hi,
What kind of cheese do you guys use for kids meals? Im finding cheddar cheese to be very sticky in baking and after its cold. Any recommendations?

I use Colby - its nce and creamy in flavour but its the same goes hard and kida sticky once it has cooled - but it doesn't bother the kids so I don't really care!

I love edam for kids... gorgeous texture and mild flavour. SInce it's usually more expensive (cause I have to buy the proper kiwi Mainland stuff! LOL) I usually end up grabbing Tasty instead.

How about mozzarella? Bakes well, mild flavour, kids love the stringy factor :) I mix in a little tasty for extra bite too.

I use either edam or cheddar. I buy all my cheese from specialty cheese shops.

Safeway Home Brand Tasty or Coon (I think the home brand actually tastes less like plastic than coon Does)

Otherwise Goats (get it free from Dad) or Fetta (get it free from the cheese maker down the road!) or Swiss from the same guy (depending on time of year)

We are lucky cause we live in a "cow filled" district so plenty of cheese makers about. (and they LOVE to pay their Postie in Cheese! and we are cool with that!)
