Has anyone tried homeopathy to cure their childs intollerances?
I have been going to a homeopath but aren't having any luck, I'd really like it to work and to keep going, perhaps to another practicioner but I'm looking for some confirmation from someone that it has worked for them.
My little girl is 8 months old and is intollerant to wheat and dairy - so when I eat these foods she has tummy pains and lot of farts that hurt usually during the night. It is very hard looking after her when she is in this pain, we figured out her intollerance when she was 3.5 months old and I have been off wheat and dairy since.
Tell me your homeopathy stories please.
Thanks

Hi. I am in Melbourne, but just thought I'd let you know that the homeopath I saw has been fantastic. (So good I don't need to see him any more!!!)
Here's his website http://www.homeopathiccentre.com.au
I think there's a button there for long distance consultations. Might be worth considering, or else send him an email and ask his advice. He's extremely helpful.

Hi Cathy,
Can you tell me any more about your experience?
At the moment my little girl has been taking remedies but these generally give her the symptoms otat she gets when I eat wheat or dairy. Then the homeopath will give her a different remedy to try and make her better.
It has been a bit hit and miss, it has been a month and now the homeopath I think is starting to loose faith too - or unsure of what to do.
We also will then test her about every week or so by me eating wheat and dairy.
I'd love to hear how things went for you.
thanks
fg
Actually I saw the homeopath for severe morning sickness and reflux, a different situation from yours.
However the guy I saw seemed extremely knowledgable, so perhaps I just stumbled across one who's particularly good. I'm not sure.
If you're not making progress, I'd recommend maybe just contacting the homeo I saw to ask his advice. It's probably the easiest step at this stage, then you could decide from there whether his advice was useful or to try another type of therapy or a different way of managing the intollerances.
I'm happy to answer more questions though if you have them. :)

Hi,
Just wanted to share that I used homeopathy for my children's acute dairy allergy - it helped a lot. They can now tolerate dairy on their skin, though still have an extreme reaction if they injest any form of milk protein.
I would recommend it - it helped their overall health - they are far more robust and able to combat illness than before.
The homeopath I used (and still use) was Rachael Gleeson who is a consultant for NP magazine. She has a website if you are interested:
