Standing up in tub

I've moved nick out of his bath seat (getting a bit heavy for it as max weight is 8kg and he's now 10kg) and he wants to stand up in the tub. I've got a non stick mat but it's a bit hard to give him a good wash when he's trying to walk from one end of the tub to the other.

Is this a phase he's going through. How can I encourage him to stay seated. Toys aren't working!

My son who is 15mths has wanted to stand in the tub since he was about 10mths old my rule is i sit him down 3 times and if i have to sit him down again after that its time to get out try that it may takie a while but just give it a go u never know, Samuel is realising now i only have to say sit and he's down straight away and stays down. I think it is a phase but just give this go.
