When i picked the boys up from kinder tonight I almost fell over when I saw DS's face.. its BRIGHT red.. his cheeks, nose and just above his eyebrows all really bright red.

Apparently he ate his lunch, went down for his nap and woke up with this bright red face and its stayed... we have no idea what it is

I thought it might be an allergic reaction to something so we gave him phernergen which hes had before from having an allergy to yoghurt.. but it didnt make a difference. I checked his temp and it was only 37 so basically spot on and he seems fine but his face is absolutely bright red.

Any ideas what this could be?

We've checked on him a few times since he went to bed and he seems fine but if hes still red in the morning we're off to the doctors just hoping I can get some suggestions now as its worrying me!

You would've seen finger marks if it was the worst thought I don't want to think about!

Not sure why I am asking, but it just popped into my head, but have you washed his face? Silly question, but just thought of colour from sheets, toys etc?

I've got no other ideas considering it's all over the face...

I found this on the internet, dont be scared by the name of this because it says its a "normal childhood illness" just like chicken pox, might want to check it out

Just to let you know "slapped cheek" is a childhood illness read the above link as its also called "Fifth disease" :D

Hope you get a diagnosis & your lo recovers ok :hugs:

Well this would explain DS red cheeks and chin and slight rash on neck and shoulders. Also possibly the aching knees and elbows that I have..... Must go to GP.
