I've just purchased two baby carriers from a second-hand shop - the Kapoochi Switch Baby Carry Pouch (navy blue with red and green) and the Fluffies Comfy Cruiser. Not sure if they're any good but I thought I'd give them a go as they were only a couple of dollars.

Apparently there are several ways to use them - facing out and in, and with baby on the hip. This is going to sound silly but does anybody have info on where to connect the straps for each position? Perhaps a copy of the instructions??!! I'm new to all this and it's a bit confusing!! :(

I have the Baby Bjorn Active so I can't help you out with instructions, but just wanted to point out that when your bubs is a newborn the best way to carry them in one of these is just chest to chest with you. They find this very comforting, it supports their little heads and they can easily go to sleep having a lovely cuddle with Mum. They need good head control before you wear them facing out.

I've got a Baby Bjon too... I went thru 3 different carriers B4 I found it and in my opinion is the best.. So even though I can't give any advise on ur brand - one thing to consider is that u need to b able to remove bubs from the sling when sleeping without too much fuss. The slings I had B4 Baby Bjon were really hard to use and bubs would always wake up when I would try put him down. Baby Bjon comes apart so easy bubs doesn't even flinch

I haven't heard of the ones you've got - I have a Hug-A-Bub and a NoJo ring sling.

Try http://www.wearyourbaby.com, I find it has lots of great visual instructions on how to wear your baby in a number of different types of slings.

Hey, sorry i cant give you instructions I have a hug a bub & a baba sling and yesterday I purchased a ergo baby carrier, And I wish I had of purchased it first...One thing i wanted to mention about facing bubs forward, on the ergo web site it says somthing like its better not to face babies forward because , babies cannot turn away from stimulus if facing forward and might get distressed, Which i never thought about, cause we put our bub facing forward a few times in her hug a bub...oops!

:wave:Thanks for your input.

I'll keep fiddling with it and try to figure it out. I've got the front-carrying position worked out, so that's the most important one for newborns anyway. In the meantime, I'll have a look in the shops and see if I can figure out the other positions by looking at other brands.
