Hey all,
My son has suffered from cronic reflux since he was 2 weeks old.
He was recently put on a position trial through the GastroIntestional Unit @Womens & Childrens Hopsital in Adelaide. This involved my son being layed in a Anti Roll Support on his LEFT side for 2 hours after he had a feed during the day only. The reason for it being the left side is because the stomach sits more to the left side and thus being laued on the left help the food pool and prevent vomiting.
I was to keep an eye on him regularly (due to SIDS) and to help prevent him rolling even more i rolled up 2 towels and put 1 each on the outer side of the Anti Roll Support to prevent rolling even more.
Im really happy to say that the Position Study has helped my son with his reflux related vomiting (he got to the point where he vomited 90% of his feeds for 6 weeks straight) and he is now off his medications and now only has mylanta when needed.
This is just a suggestion for you. It may help it may not,,,,, but i hope for you and your babies sake it does.
