changing your username

Changing your username can only be done by a forum administrator (it's not something you can do yourself in the User Control Panel).

If you wish to change your username, please click on the 'contact us' link at the footer of the forum. This will open up a screen with a form. Complete the form giving us your old username and the new username that you would like. Please ensure that the 'change username' button is ticked in the form.

Please check the members list first to ensure that your chosen new name isn't already in use.

When we change your username your password remains the same and all your previous posts are automatically updated to show your new username.

There are some characters that we can not use for any new usernames or changes to usernames. They are:
♥ * + - _ & < > ~ ' " @ # $ % ^ ! ? / . , ; : [ { } ] = `or spaces

Should you decide to change, please consider this when thinking about your new username.
