Hi all
not sure if this is correct place to post this however just needed to know if there was anyone that can help.
I have always had one breast that is a size larger than than the other. However after breast feeding the other breast got even bigger and the other one stayed the same. There is a big difference now. :(
Well just recently i have spoken with my doctor about getting a breast augmentation to correct this. She informed me that i would be entitled to use the public health system to get them corrected. The wait is 1-2 yrs, which suits me as my girls as still so young and not sure what the recovery time would belike.
I am not depressed about them. However i do get down as they are very noticeable, exp when i wear tight tops. I hate them so much i dont even left DF see them!
So i guess my questions are...
1. Did you use public or private? What where your reasons?
2.What was recovery like? weeks? If you have children, how did you cope?
3. What was the pain like after op? please be honest...
4.Did you go under/over muscle?why?
5.Most important, are you happy wth results?
This post is purely only for personal expereinces, just want to see what im in for....
Thanking you in advance

Hi.
I had breast augmentation done about 5 years ago. I had breast fed 3 children with practically no boobs to begin with and ended up with nothing much but loose skin, also i have kind of a pigeon chest which looked really weird with no breasts either.
Recovery time- allow 6 weeks all up. You cant drive for about 2 as you cant lift your arms above your shoulders.
Pain i felt was minimal, I had some pain killers post op, but was off them within days. You wont be able to pick your kiddies up though for some time.
I got under the muscle which looks more natural and i am currently very successfully bf my 4th baby, loads of milk, but if you get them over the muscle you cant bf as it interferes.
I have never regretted it, it was a personal decision which made me feel comfortable with my own body.
I dont think the public system does that type of thing, I had mine done in a private clinic in Sydney.
Like a tattoo, the implants become you after a while and you forget what you were like before. I am open and honest and unashamed of my implants but do not advertise it either and I got a c cup so most people wouldnt guess looking at me.
My advice would be to go with your heart, do your research into surgeons and dont go with just anyone then organise an appointment, they will give you advice particular to your needs, shape and situation.
Be aware that any doctor can call themselves a plastic surgeon, make sure they are properly qualified with lots of experience and look at their work online.
Hope that helps but i would say go for it if its what you really want.

I had breast reduction done Feb of 2010. It was the best thing I ever did. If there is anyway in which you can have it done. DO IT!!!! I went from DDD to moderate C. What a difference. Shoulder pain is almost gone. No more dents from Bra Straps. I now can stand up straight. My height even changed 1 inch. I am now 1 inch taller, because I am not bent over from the weight on my chest. Recovery was not bad. Scars healed great. I cannot understand why anyone would want to make their breasts made larger. Having been on that side of the chart I would choose smaller breasts anytime.
