Hi there,

Does anybody know of any flushable baby wipes that are available? At the moment i'm trying to juggle a poohy nappy and poohy baby wipes, whilst trying to flush the solids down the toilet. :( If I had flushable wipes I could dump the whole lot in and be done with it!

Also does anybody use a Little Squirt - and if so what's their opinion on them. Are they worth getting? I like the idea of rinsing the pooh straight into the toilet, rather than down the drain.

Many thanks for any help!

I use cheap brand tissues with sorbolene cream as wipes - you can put them in the nappy as you go and then tip the whole lot in the loo. The work out really cheap, and it's actually better to get the home brand ones (ie not name brand) because the name brand ones are too soft and fall to bits. :)

You can get the normal flushable wipes (ie: not exclusively baby wipes), that'd work if its only for poos? They're not really cheap, but if you're not using them for wees, just poos, then it would probably be alright. I saw the wiggles ones the other day, only a small packet though. I think they'd work out about the same as the toilet wipes.

I've had a little squirt and loved it. The only reason i stopped using it was because we decided to go with disposables. It still gets used on the odd puked-up-on thing though!

The Little Squirt is fantastic! As for flushable wipes, I personally prefer to use cheapie face washers and throw them in with the nappies to wash. I normally store the nappy bucket next to the toilet so I can drop the wipe and pocket inserts in, then squirt the pocket and throw that into the bucket too. Lid on, wash hands, all done.

Lucy.. nappy bucket in the dunny.. now there's thinking!! We have a little squirt its tops!!

I use washable wipes. I just wipe the excess off with the nappy & throw the wipes straight into my bucket as there is hardly any poo on them, then the little squirt gets the yuckies off the nappy! :)

Thanks for your help!

The nappy bucket in the toilet idea is great. I'm working towards cloth wipes to go with my cloth nappies - it's just the ick factor! But I guess if I'm dealing with poohy nappies, may as well deal with poohy wipes!

Thanks for the reviews on the Little Squirt too. As soon as I can manage to stop spending money on nappies I'll get one.

Ta muchly! :yelclap:

with the little squirt is it easy to unnattach from the toilet thingy that it gets attached to.. i rent thats all and have just bought a big stash of cloth nappies and was thinking of getting one but whether you could unnattach it so it looks normal... sorry if that all doesnt make sense.
