Am i the only person who toddler wears?
I usually tandem wear my 18 month old on my back and my 3 year old on my hip/ front depending on his mood.

not my own [yet], but i routinely wear my friends kids up to around 3ish (if they are used to being worn, then as long as its comfy for me - but some 3y/os HATE the idea of being worn, some are ok with it).
or wearing the toddler on my back, and the baby/younger toddlers on my belly :goodvibes:
so you're not alone. cause i'll def. continue this once i have my own - i find it so much easier to just strap them on my back, than to fight if they refuse to walk, or get in the pram, or move at all :p

I usually only do either my 9kg 6 month old or 14kg 2 year old but have done both before :D
My 2 year old loves it if he's tired, my 6 month old... well, she's 6 months old lol So, not a toddler xD

:yelclap: for you but that just sounds so very painful to me!
I was a bit sad when my boy got too heavy to carry around, but that may be because i have a messed up back. Could never manage 2, don't know how i'd be able to do anything with both of them on me! Never seen anyone else do it either. I would like to though...sort of trying to visualize how that would work lol

the one on my belly was in the hug-a-bub (although i'm going to buy a mei-tei for when i have my own, just for ease of putting it on and off),
and the toddler in the ergo
it actually worked quite well -the kids weren't whacking each other or anything.
but it *is* heavy - so i think it would be far easier to do if you work your way up to that weight (like, its so much easier to carry a 10kg baby, if you've been carrying it daily since it was born, because you gain strength as they gain weight).
i had pictures -but they were lost :( hopefully peanutbutterjelly can come post hers, cause she did it similar to how i did :D
here are a few random photo's i've found on blogs/via google:
from this entry (http://www.baby-carriers-downunder.com/2009/03/27/dont-let-the-girls-have-all-the-fun-boys-can-wear-two-too/), i use it like the top photo shows.
and this one (http://www.baby-carriers-downunder.com/2009/03/12/wearing-two-as-a-way-of-life/) has some good pictures too

I love seeing DF tandem wearing (or at least carrying the one he isn't wearing :p) I only have photos on his phone though :(
Will have to try again when we go grocery shopping, I was pushing an empty stroller and drinking a can of coke while he carried Bella, had Phoenix in the ergo on his back and drank a bottle of V lol
The ultimate product placement IMO ;)

naww :bee:
its like how guys wearing babies are just sexier than guys who aren't (imo - not that i'd ever go up to a guy wearing a baby,c ause i'd assume he's taken. but still, i'm more likely to rate him as 'hot' than i would be otherwise :o)
i'm thinking i may go borrow my two goddaughters during my hols so i can get some pics of me wearing two of them. *makes determined face*.

Both my children are around the 19kg mark each. I use the phil and teds metro and a homemade ring sling so i can move my 3 yr old how he likes. He sometimes lays sideways in the sling and that really pulls on my shoulder but it isnt painful. I only use my pram when we in to markets otherwise i get free samples of everything smeared in my hair. :vomit:

oh wow. have you been wearing them both since birth?
cause i'd assume that 2x19kg isn't as heavy as it sounds if you started with one 3ishkg kid, and just kept wearing it as the first, and then the second grew heavier? (like weights that just steadily increase every day - and you have to carry/wear them every day and then you get used to it?)
i love the baby carriers that are out there though. makes it so much easier to carry more than one :D

i dont wear them every day because they can both walk now but i do love wearing them both. They hold hands and kiss each other and play peek a boo with my shoulder.
I did stop wearing my 3 yr old for a while after dd was born because i couldnt work out how to do 2 at once because he was a big boy so i didnt want a material back carrier and have it break on me while i have a premmie on my front.

DS1 is 19kg and would kill me I think - LOL. But being pregnant meant I stopped wearing him anyway, so didn't have a chance to work up to it. He is about the size of a 4yo too, and not a fan of sitting still.
I did wear both the twins in the HAB when bubbas, both in the front next to each other. I find it too hard with them both in carriers, but often have one on my back and am holding the other bubba.

I am also tall and quite muscular so i dont find it that difficult. I think if i was petite or even overweight, i would find it really hard to carry them.
It is a bit of a pain at times, like when there are no seats on the bus, my centre of gravity is out but i just sit on the floor. If they were in the pram we wouldnt even get on the bus.
It also seams that i get a lot of comments from total strangers about how it must be heavy or asking why i dont get them to walk. It is quicker this way.
