HELP - Obstetrician Sydney CBD or Northern Beaches

Hi Ladies

Can anyone out there help me? I'm trying to find an obstetrician and I really don't know of any. I don't have anyone to ask either, esp as I'm only 5 weeks so I don't really want to tell anyone yet!

Is there anyone you can recommend on the Northern Beaches or the CBD? I am thinking of going to either RNSP or Mater. Has anyone been to Emma O'Shea?

Any help would be appreciated!!

If you're certain about going private and not public through a midwives program (which in my opinion is a better option) then I can recommend the following Obstetricians who deliver at the Mater and NSP:

Rodney Baber
Gil Burton
Vijay Roach
Stephen Tan

They are all great Ob's, and well known so I suggest you book in quickly!

Hi, Im a nurse and have worked with them all, but my OB who has delivered all 3 of my babies is Dr Stephen Morris. He is absolutely awesome. He is very supportive of whatever delivery you are after. He has 2 midwives that work in his rooms with him, so if you ever have a question you can just ring the girls (who are also great). Dr Morris is a big fan of natural births, will do water births or will do CS if it is what you really desire. He has an ultrasound in his rooms, so every visit you get to see your little bubs growing and he will even print off a photo for you. Anyway I could rave all night about him, he is great. His rooms are in the CBD and works at NSP &RNSH. Congratulations and good luck

I see Dr steve Lyons, he goes to both NSP and the mater but what i love the most is he has an office in Manly so I don't have to drive over the spit bridge for every appointment. He has been so thorough and friendly, Highly recommend him.

He was my OB and would be again one day I hope:)
He was great and I still think if it was not for him I do not know how would it go with a different doctor...I mean I can not imagine anyone is doing a greater job as my delivery was not that smooth:)
