ive been laying in bed now for about 45mins. And everytime i move a mm i feel like im going to spew(sorry no emoticons on phone bh)
the thing is, i dont know if i want to spew cause of my horrid m/s or if its this damn headache that i cant get rid of cause of the maxolon. Grrr never taking that cr@p again. =[
i just dont know what to do. Nothing is working. I probably sound like the biggest whinger. Sorry.

I am at the end of my pregnancy and kinda forget what that is like. I am almost 38 weeks now, seems like forever ago!
I only chucked once, at 9 weeks pregnant. The rest of the time was nausea, alot of nausea! Tbh the only thing that helped me were those sea sickness wrist bands. I knew I didn't have them in the second I started feeling I'll. Didn't make it go away completely, but it definitely lessened it!

im only 12 weeks and i never remember it been this bad with DD.
Ive tried the bands. Boohoo. Didnt work and they hurt me after a while.
Ive tried the eating dry cracker, ginger, peppermint, small meals often... List goes on. And nothing. NOTHING is working.
I have a script for zofran, dont know if i can afford the expense and alot of people say it gave them headaches. Gosh can this get worse?
Sorry. Im frustrated.

sorry I can't help you girls but a thread by kribby:Smiles for mobile phone users on bh-might be a fun distraction- gives the code for emoticons for mobile users. I used zophran for my nausea when I had chemo. It worked well. Another great thing for ms is umeboshi, Japanese pickled plums or shall I say wonder plums.
My morning sickness has been worse this time around too. Lasted up til 18 weeks, whereas I'm pretty sure it stopped around the 12/13 weeks mark with DS. I've been lucky though - no throwing up (well, only once), just on-and-off nausea all day. Hope things improve for you soon xoxox.

I really feel for you. My wife had morning sickness for at least half of her pregnancy. We found metaclopramide (Maxolon) of very limited use, ondansetron (Zofran) was much better and can be taken as a wafer which doesn't need to be swallowed. Zofran was the first of a new range antiemetics (anti-vomiting medicines) originally marketed for chemo' patients and post-operative nausea & vomiting (PONV). They work best if taken before the nausea starts, i.e. before a person starts chemo' or before surgery. This is just not possible in intractable morning sickness! In Australia the prescribing options for ondansetron is so limited and cost so high I do not think that it has any real long term role in morning sickness. I do not hesitate to prescribe 8 mg intravenously at work (in an Emergency Department) for severe nausea due to morning sickness ( for patients about to start on chemo' the dose can be much higher). When compared to what is available in primary health care that is a big chunk out of the equivalent proescription for the oral wafers.
It is very important to maintain a good level of hydration - a dry brain will make you feel even more awful. Try to take small amounts of fluids frequently, and make sure your urine is not dark yellow. And if you get very dehydrated go to the Emergency Department for advice and treatment on fluid replacement, e.g. intravenous fluids. We really will be nice to you, and if you have to wait, we are sorry, it's just that there are more seriously ill people inside than you.
Some people find acupuncture works, personally we did not.
If it is any consolation, each pregnancy is unique. You may or may not have the same problems if you choose to become pregnant again.

thanks so so much everyone.
im feeling really awful today, and have a birthday party to go to for my nephew. not really up to it, but hey, what can you do?
dd had me awake at 6am and was not impressed (she usually sleeps in til at least 8-9am) so as usual, what happens when i get up too fast in the morning? I :barf:
Ive just been taking with DF and he says if im not feeling any better tonight, we are taking a trip to the ED. I hate to go there for something that seems so so silly, but i really am so dehydrated TMI ALERT, its that bad that my wee is almost orange :( I cannot keep anything down.
ahhh now im sitting here crying. i just want everything to be ok for baby.
I had it with DD up til 20weeks. (last time i was sick was on the plane to perth) and it was 20weeks of hell :( hoping it doesnt stick around that long this time.
Lambkin- i totally understand hun. ive been munching on cruskits too. those and some other arnotts dry bickies. when it rains it poors hey? hugs
thankyou so much Juliets Dad! you were a great help :)
@ JuliettesDad - nice to hear some Dr. are sympathetic and get it. My DH is on his way too and I know he will be one of the Dr. offering the IVs and meds. My first GP (first pregnancy) kept saying it will pass, it will pass - she was against ALL meds while pregnant. I couldn't keep anything down. Even looking at water caused dry heaves. The whole 40w!!!! She was even unimpressed when I presented in ER after not voiding in 36hrs! I figure that meant I needed a little fluid - unfair that dehydration can cause - NAUSEA! They only gave me IV fluid, nothing for the vomitting, and as soon as I was hydrated again, I started throwing up again. That was enjoyable.
This round my GP was A BIT more sympathetic. He was willing to prescribe maxalon but that was it. He just wasn't comfortable with other meds - not familiar enough with them. He is also a family friend so he has been over to the house for some of 'the show' while I sit and puke and puke and puke. And the day my BP was 60/45. I felt pretty crappy too. He was surprised when the MS continued past 16w. His wife had been pretty sick too but was done by 16w. And now that it is back (33w) - he just said it makes him realise what some women really go through and why we'd choose not to do it again.
@ mummajugs - sounds like you already need to be getting some fluids if your urine is that concentrated. The ****ty thing is that the crappier you feel, the more dehydrated you get, the crappier you feel. It is SO unfair that one of the side effects of nausea and vomitting is dehydration, and the side effect of dehydration is nausea and vomitting.
I hope you did go get some fluid and that you at least got to feel better for a few hours.
Really is there anything more fun than throwing up on a plane - I love it! My flight was 13hrs of hell. And good luck trying to hit the toilet with turblence. Oh and all the sweet old ladies telling you it is okay - there is nothing to be afraid of thinking you are just sick from flying.
A different flight I was on and also having MS - they didn't have any sick bags. I had a pail with me that was taken away at security - they gave me a large clear garbage bag - that must have been super enjoyable for the guy sitting beside me.
Don't worry too much about the baby - the good news is your body will make the baby the priority. It may feel like the pregnancy is sucking the life out of you, well that is because it is . My first was over 7lbs and I threw up the whole time with him and #2 is due in 7w but is measuring fine too.
Another 'yummy' dry cracker to try is Kraft brand - Premium originals - they come in a green box from Woolies and IGA.
Well, here is hoping you get a break in the morning sickness. I know it is cliche but each pregnancy is different. Last time I threw up with out a break the whole time, and through the delivery. This time I got a break from around 16w-ish until 32w. I did have bad days in between but nothing like them first 16w. And even though I am SO OVER IT! the nausea right now is still nothing compared to the first 16w. I just think it is a bit harder, when you factor in the braxton hicks and cervix kicks from bubs. I'm just so done being pregnant.
:hugs: Hope you are feeling even the slightest bit better.

Sympathy comes from a Nurse Practitioner in emergency care :)

Thank you so much ladies (and gentleman) for your comments on this forum. I am nearly 9 weeks into my first pregnancy and have never felt worse in my life. Its kinda nice to know that there are other people out there feeling as dreadful as me!
I've been off work for about a week due to chronic nausea and exhaustion. Its driving me nuts as I cant leave the house for fear that I will vomit everywhere. As the title of this thread says: "I'm so over it!"
I guess, at worst, there's about 30 weeks to go!
If anyone has any suggestions or miracle cures, I'd love to hear them!:fingerscrossed:
No miracles here! Some days I am fine, some days I cant even hold down water!
I am 10 weeks at the moment, have lost 7.5kg and have been rehydrated at hospital once. Everyone is like 'yay your losing weight, thats great, it means you dont have to worry about what you eat for the rest of your pregnancy' etc. And its like, umm no, I often cant even hold down a multivitamin, thats if i remember to take it in the first place!
Losing weight is not a bonus of pregnancy people!
My vomiting is not that bad. I normally have a pretty strong stomach, and will power because I hate spewing, so I get fair warning, and dont spew that often, but have massive food aversions, because anything with wheat or a lot of sugar makes my mouth feel funny and makes me want to spew. I spent 15 mins in the toilet on friday after making DS a vegemite sandwich!
*sigh*
hope you feel better soon!

The title of this thread is exactly what goes through my head daily! I am 15 weeks and it seems like the throwing up is getting MORE frequent! I don't know how much more I can take. Going to look for those sea sickness wrist bands today. Hopefully they help! It's good to know I'm not the only one feeling like this. Hope you start to feel better soon .

I am pregnant with my 2nd and constantly feel sick, I haven't vomited yet but feel so close to it all the time. Its actually really depressing! Mine started at 5 weeks?! and i am only 8 weeks now so hate the thought that i still have 4 or more weeks left of this. I DO NOT remember it like this the first time, i think i only had a couple of weeks of nausea and not this bad.
I do feel sorry for those of you who seem to have it much worse though and are headed for hospital.
There is also nothing i can eat or drink that helps
I work 4 days a week and am struggling with that because i can't tell anyone so have to pretend i am fine (plus my belly is showing already)
*sigh* thats my rant over...

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and am so relieved to hear other peoples stories! I can relate and it's awful  I'm only 8 wks with my 2nd and didn't have any vomiting first time round but did feel a bit queasy. Today I have vomited about 5-6 times (not every day has been this bad) and I know I need to eat but don't feel like eating anything. I have just started on B6 and ginger tablets but notice no difference yet. Will keep you posted on things that help and interested to hear what helps others?
Anyway...I know it will pass but it sucks!! I am really happy about being pregnant by the way but it's hard to be overjoyed when you feel crap!!

I'm in the same boat too, pregnant with #2 and soo much sicker, vomiting 2-4 times a day and feeling awful much of the day too. Not sure why its so much worse the 2nd time around.. The doctor said it could mean a different gender this time round.
But yeah sick of being sick :(

I double that, Zofran has been my only savior for the nausea. I tried Maxolon which was useless. I'm now coming out of my depression, shopping again and actually being able to return to work cause of Zofran.

im my case this was right as my OP says with how sick i was, i was vommiting up to 20-30times a day at one point, as and it was horrid. i couldnt function.
but, we have just found out we are expecting a little boy, so it is definitely a myth that MS is worse with girls. well for me anyhow.
