the 'professionals' you've had dealings with on your TTC journey? :banghead:
I belong to several TTC messageboards (only fairly new in here though and spend most of my time in the Egg Donation area). It seems that there are plenty of opportunities for improvement for staff engaged in IVF clinics. Because I have a curious mind, I've decided to do a little survey. Don't be alarmed - the info isn't being forwarded on to your clinic - I don't even want to know which clinic you're with. I just know that in a lot of cases, confusion and communication problems exist that shouldn't.
So, what has cheesed you orf during your TTC journey? Whether you're still cycling or have succeeded and are through with IVF now. Have a whinge here!
Is it the Nurse who is too rushed to answer your questions or is just plain hard to get along with?
Or the doctor who tells you your cycle will run a certain way but when you actually kick your cycle off his notes don't accurately reflect what he's discussed with you, resulting in confusion all round. This one has happened to me twice!
Maybe it's the receptionist who has absolutely no understanding at all about what you're going through, calls aren't returned or messages are confused (ie, wrong info about meds/scan times etc).
Did you leave your first or even second or third appointment/s still not really understanding the drill?
Could your GP be better informed about IVF?
From what I've read, this list could go on and on.
I hope you'll jump in and share your experiences. After all, we all like a little whinge every now and then and we don't want to get the clinic off side!
