Dunno how you feel but I didnt feel ready to TTC no.2 till Xav was around 1 (we are TTC now), he's still young but he has a bit of independance so it makes things easier. I couldn't imagine having them any closer than that, but lots of people I know have done so and coped really well!!
I couldnt have coped any earlier mainly because my little man was a bad sleeper and we were stilll recovering from that until recently lol:laughing:

I voted 1-2...but anytime after the age of 1 is fine IMO. I'd never dream of TTC before DD was 1...I wouldn't be able to handle being pregnant AND having a baby who couldn't do much for themselves on my hands.

It's also recommended women don't fall pregnant again until after a year...just so their bodies can recouperate.

I voted 1-2y/o but really its how you feel. I want to have my children close together for 2 reasons.

1. They will grow up together and play together
2. Because if you have them close together (especially when your young) you can still do things with your DH when the kids are grown up.

Good Luck with your decision!

there wasn't a NOW option, thats the one I would have picked:D
(only cos thats what we did:laughing: )

so I will say round one (I like a small age gap:p )

(I did check with my doc before getting preggie again cos as sassy says it's good to make sure your body is ok and will look after bubs fine;) )

i picked 1-2 yrs, if there was a less than 1 year i would've picked that. this is because my boys are 16 months apart & i have no complaints - yet!

I would say between 1 and 2 yrs, we are going to try in december so DS will be 11 months then.

i would say 1 -2 years.. as my children are going to only just have a 17 month age gap and i love the fact that they are going to be close and it seems that u like the idea of the kids being close also.

yeah.. i picked 2-3yrs.. only cause it would be easier for the nappy side and they would be a bit more independent... but its your choice! yeah.. i know.. i had my girls close together.. 16months apart! it was hard at first.. but its great now they are the best of buddies!

We have just started TTC this month, now that DS is 18mths. As I work part-time from home and and I earn good $, I wanted to wait until I was ready for DS to go to daycare a couple of days a week and hopefully I can toilet train him by then. If we are successful straight away (:fingerscrossed: ), it means there will be a 26 month gap, which I think will make life easier for me, but not be too great a gap for them to be friends when they are a little older. Good luck with your decision.

I voted 2-3, but probably more towards the age of three.

DD will be 3.5YO when #2 arrives, tried to make it slightly less of a gap...but you can only do what you can do.

Financially we couldn't have coped with two in nappies. Emotionally and physically, I needed DD to be a bit more independant, able to dress herself/feed herself etc. But if we had left the decision much longer, I don't think we would have gone for a second. The thought of night feeds, nappies, baby spew etc would have hard to deal with once DD, and as a result, I, had got even more idependance.

I voted for 1 to 2 years gap. I wanted lots of children and close in age too. My DD and DS #1 there is a 21 month gap, and then the same with DS #2. I think it's beacuse that's when I stoped breastfeeding. But this was not the case with my twins that are due in dec. Still dont know what happen there? But I do think that your body needs a rest too. So take your time and enjoy your baby now before you blink and he is a toddler.

It is really up to you, if you think you will cope, my DS1 was 6 months old and still fully breastfed when i fell pregnant with DS2, i breastfed DS1 till he was 10 months old and then he weaned himself. There is a 15 month age gap between my boys and i wouldnt have it any other way. The boys are best mates and play so well, yes they fight but what kids dont, some days are harder than others but they joy of seeing the boys growing up with a close bond is enough to overlook those bad days. I find the hardest is when both kids are sick and they are both up at night at the same time, they always seem to get sick together.
