I have been a clothie for awhile now .. (9months to be exact :D) and I adore my cloth nappies - I have passions for particular types namely - greenkids pockets and HONEYBOYS by lovely Lesley at Cherubs Kiss!!!

anyway - I was emailing Lesley .. and she allowed ME (ME ME ME MEE!!!!) to be a tester for the NEW quick dry honeyboy nappy!!!!!! WHOOHOOOO .. so I got my fluffy mail on Monday .. and it is SOOO gorgeous .. honestly - Lesley's sewing is so immaculate.. even the front tabs on the nappy line up (the frogs are identical :D)

She even made the nappy with frogs on the fabric - as she knows that I am a frog addict.. lol I am sooo excitied!! it was washed today ... cant WAIT to try it out!

oooh (so excited!!! :smiliedance: such a pretty nappy!!I'll be interested to see how much faster it dries than the other honeyboys... )

- and guys just to let you know - Lesley was hoping to open Cherubs Kiss again in mid August.. but is now aiming for the first week of September...

I believe HoneyBoys were invented by an American lady but Lesley has the rights to produce and sell them. Cherub's Kiss HoneyBoys sell for such large amounts at auction because of the quality of Lesley's sewing and she also does 'limited editions' with very cute patterns. You can buy HoneyBoy nappies from o/s websites too but they won't be Cherub's Kiss' HoneyBoys!

yes Lesley has the rights to reproduce them (it costs a considerable (scary) amount of money each year for her to be able to use the nappy name and pattern :eek: - they are an American pattern .. but the Cherub's Kiss ones are made right here in brissie :D

(I haven't touched the other honey boys on ebay ... too scared.. I know how good Lesley's are and I dont want to purchase a dodgey nappy !!)

Today I recieved 7 brilliant Honeyboys from Canada and they are super cute and exactly what I wanted and ordered. I have seen Lesleys work and agree it is a superior standard but writing off all overseas honeyboys I think is a bit harsh. I agree about supporting our Aussie WAHMs first but it never hurts to try new things and these nappies are great, the canadian honeyboys are also a WAHM business too.

Anyway thats my little say and I to can't wait for Lesley to re-open Cherubs Kiss so that we can have some of her nappies too!

there are two photos .. one with the nappy closed.. and one with the nappy open (with glorious frogs on display :) )

its an AIO.. which means fleece on the outter.. and pretty pictures on the inside - and the matching tabs... FROGGIES!!!!

the photo with the nappy open shows the nappy - plus the rectangle of extra material - with a booster in the middle - so you fold it over - and it all lies perfectly in the nappy .. but folds out to dry faster on the line ..

(I hope Lesley doesn't mind the photos - considering it is a 'tester' I just wanted to share!!! :D :smiliedance: )

I thought that too babytoo - but the fleece actually breathes pretty nicely .. better than PUL (I feel)... it is suprising (and both still breathes better than a sposie!!! :D)

two layers of fleece repell water .. it sounds silly - but it is extremely effective .. I have never EVER had a honeyboy leak (or indeed a greenkids dreamytimes :D - which are damn good nappies too)

umm about the same as pockets - the fleece does feel different to begin with .. but you soon get used to it .. and because it is boosted on the INSIDE - you dont feel the boosting as much when you pick bubs up ..

- JAck ALWAYS tests each nappy as soon as it is put on (new) - he pooed in it already :) thank goodness he is eating solids... so the froggies survived .. lol

- seekrit - he looks STUNNING!!! :D

- babytoo - go the medium .. it fits for a while.. and JAck has been in his honeyboy since about 6-7 kgs...

I have a lilac with bugs medium Honeyboy and it is very good....another one that DD likes to poo in....why is it they only seem to poo in the good ones???? :banghead:
