I am useless at thinking of stuff & being creative with things to feed DD....it's always the same old snacks & lunches & dinners...
What are your toddlers fave snacks & meals?
Help this boring mum liven up her toddlers meal times!!!!
Pleeeeeeease!!!:hugs:
Not beer :p
Just marking this so I can come back later, if I start typing it all out now the boys are SURE to wake up from their nap
ETA: Do you mind cooking? Or would you rather it be a quick 'grab this and that and slap it together' kind of solution?

My 20month DS loves veggie pancakes.
Blend about 200g of veggies, I use corn, carrot, onion, brocoli but whatever you have is ok.
Add 1 egg, tbsp honey, 50g SR flour. (adapted from Annabel Karmel's finger food recipe).
Then panfry in a little oil. Yummo! :)

Those vegie pancakes sound yum!
I do love to cook, but when DH is away sometimes I am time poor so need a quick grab & serve...
When he is home, i can spend more time cooking & preparing...
Any suggestions are welcome :D

Our little guy gets his fair share of raffertys garden meals but apart from the premade stuff, he loves;
fresh strawberries, blueberries & raspberries - oh, and blackberries, he loves them
baked chicken breast in slices so he can dip in tomato sauce
hasnt had it for a while, but quite the fan of carrot sticks with ranch dressing
peas and corn on their own as an entree
he loves risotto or pasta with tomato based sauce - also a great way to fit some meat and vegies in
toasted sandwiches with cheese that you can cut into cut/unusual shapes
fruit smoothies are a HUGE hit - cranberry juice, lime, frozen raspberries and fresh strawberries & blueberries whizzed up
a whole apple to bite and slobber all over
baked sweet potato "chips"
he loves most things that are cut up into little pieces, and he's also loving the occasional use of the fork.. oh the joy of novelties at this age! :)
Thats all I've got right now, sorry if its all obvious stuff..

At the moment (in my freezer) I have
- Chicken Chow Mein (easy juts pull out and serve lettuce)
- Spag bol
- Tuna, mayo and sweetcorn (serve on a muffin or in Quesidillas)
- Ham, egg, tomato bread quiches (easy and tasty - kiddies can help make)
- Butter chicken with broccoli
- vegetable ragout.
I am in desperate need of new ideas too. So will mark this thread
These are faves, and are easy to prep and cook- Pretty much only 1 or 2 dirty cooking dishes
Meatball pasta bake- Cook pasta, pop it in a baking dish, cover with uncooked/ raw meatballs, cover in a napoletana/ tomato sauce (even just a couple tins of tomatoes and some tomato paste), sprinkle with cheese and bake for 20 mins
Vegetable or Zucchini slice- I bake these in muffin tins so that there are single serves to freeze/ pack in lunchboxes, etc.
4 cups grated/ small veggies- Use whatever you have on hand, last night I made carrot, zucchini, sweet potato and frozen peas and corn
1 cup flour
1 cup grated cheese
5 eggs
Mix together, pour into baking dish or muffin tins and bake for 25 mins
Mini meatloaves- Again cooked in a muffin tin for small portions that freeze/ travel well- I use a meatloaf recipe from some website, and add extra veggies to replace some of the meat
Risottos are great, DD loves them, and I use an oven baked recipe, so you can put it in the oven and walk away!
Snacks- We aren't all that imaginative with snacks at the moment
DD loves those new Vita Weats rice crackers with Philly cheese, she's also a fruit bat, and would polish off about 5 serves of fruit if I'd let her!
A dry Weet Bix with a little strawberry jam is a hit here, but very messy because its so crumbly!
what an awesome thread....I need ideas too... :D
