my ds has really strong smelling wee (TMI sorry) and because he has more wet nappies then dirty ones sometimes he just smells of wee,its that strong you would swear he had wet through the nappy or something. and its really yellow sometimes.
is it normal? he gets heaps of fluids he just seems to pee a hell of alot.

I'm not sure about this one, Maybe seeing your health nurse about it, or even your doctor.

My boy sometimes has the same, but he drinks alot of soy milk so i dont know if that has anything to do with it.

my ds is on s26 LF (lactose free) formula. i think i will give ds's gp a call see what they say:)
should be a intresting conversation lol its not everyday i ring someone to talk about wee lol

When i took a sick 2 yr old to the doctor once he asked if she had smelly or very yellow wee, not too sure why though maybe it has something to do with an infection? Definatly call and find out :yes:

My initial thought was a bladder infection but then again it could be the formula.. no harm in taking him to the GP for your own piece of mind :D

thanks guys :) he has been on the formula for a few months now and never had this problem, its just appeared early morning yesturday i think (or that i noticed due to a cold blocking my nose lol)

Usually dark wee is a sign of dehydration though i dont know about smelly wee could just be cause its a full nappy or like someone said may be a uti

well it smells even when its not full, its like walking into male toilets lol

i didnt end up calling. i was about to when dp wanted to see if got worse in smell and stuff and by 7pm i think it was ds suddenly went back to normal it was so wierd. then this morning the poor little man was a bit constipated. so i have no idea what the wee problem was coz he is fine now.
